The start of something new

Patricia set her plate aside as she finished her meal, still listening to Riley. Must be the time for Weddings. she thought to herself, but she didn't think it a strange thing, people got married all the time. Taking a sip of her milkshake she said, "Wow, best man! You must be excited? She knew being asked to be best man was a big thing, just like being maid of honour; not that she would know first hand. When asked who the wedding was for Patricia shrugged lightly, "It's an old friend from school. We were in the same House and on the Quidditch team together; Caysi Finnigan!" he told him.

Riley shrugged. He wasnt all too excited about it. Of course he liked the fact that Jay picked him but not much got Riley excited in that way. " Yeah i guess but im not really over the moon about it." He looked up when she said Caysi's name. He smiled slightly. " Well i guess we have a time and place for the next date then seeing as we will be at the wedding." He chuckled slightly as what he said. " That settles that then." He sipped his drink and pushed it aside along with his now empty plate next to it.

Patricia shrugged lightly when Riley told her that he wasn't really over the moon about being best man; everyone was different. Finishing rest of her drink Patricia didn't catch Riley's smile but as she looked up she caught his words. The young Hufflepuff was confused by a few things. First of all, date? Patricia wasn't even aware that this was a date let alone that there was going to be a next one. Secondly, he was going to be at the wedding. Either they were both talking about the same wedding or he had invited himself; Patricia hoped that it was the first one. "I suppose so." she said with an awkward laugh. "Um, now that's settled I better go. It's getting late." she said, getting up from her seat.
