It would be unlike Dashley not to make the most out of an excuse to dress up, the Halloween feast being of course as good of an excuse as any to put on as much make up as she knew how and to wear the most bright pink outfit she owned paired with a glittery tiara so she could stand out in the crowd as the princess she truly was. It had crossed her mind that her costume could have been more creative, but that didn't change how like herself she felt, and how happy she was to dress the way she wanted without the restrictions of her usual Hogwarts uniform. Dashley arrived to the Halloween feast with a confident smile on her face, soon choosing a spot near the door to situate herself as she waited for her best friend Reyna. Dashley watched some of the other students arrive to the hall, unable to hide her expression some at the costumes she didn't like. Dash didn't know what costume Reyna would wear, but she did know Reyna had good taste and she was sure Reyna would choose a much better costume than some of the ones she was seeing that evening. She crossed her arms and began to gently tap the floor with one of her glittery shoes in slight impatience as she waited for Reyna to arrive.

Reyna had always looked forward to being able to wear a good halloween costume, to a good halloween party, and she had for her part really put in the effort, she had put on a old style of dress and a red robe which was acting as a cape and hood. She had a little basket with fake baked goods and she was very happy with it. She spotted Dash immediately as the girl was stood outside the great hall, and she felt a little annoyed, princess was such a classic costume, but she had wanted to wear this given the red was so plush and she looked good in it. She made sure to wait a little bit longer, not letting her be seen just yet. she moved over after a minute or two. "Dash, hi, you look so nice," she complimented not drawing attention or apologising for being a little late. "I totally thought about being a princess this year but glad I didn't," She said. "Oh that girl's costume is gross," she didn't even linger too long on what Dash was wearing distracted by the gross and bad costume of the girl passing them.

Ares for the most part was minding his own business, but dressing up as Edward Scissorhands also meant that it was very difficult for him to do any of the normal activities. There was no way he was going through a tent in his costume, nor attempt to bob for apples when he risked ruining his hair and make up. Instead he'd been wandering around the room, debating how he was going to turn this event into something to remember. He was growing increasingly bored as the weeks went on, and with no pet of his own yet to look after, he had to turn his attention to the students for his entertainment. The scissors in his costume were only made of rubber, but they were long and sharp enough that it still could be a little daunting to get too close to them. The third year sauntered around the room until he approached a pair of younger girls, one of whom had very long very blonde curled thick hair. No doubt there would be a lot of envious kids in the room. Ares moved a hand forward, sliding one scissor behind the girls hair, and motioning his hands closing as though giving the student a haircut.
