She knew she can't ignore the fact that this will be their first time not preparing for their daughter's birthday. She knew, as she stood at the open door of her daughter's bedroom that they won't be singing Happy Birthday to her. Tears started to roll down her cheeks and this time, Celestyn just let it be. The woman closed her eyes, remembering the day she thought will be a good day. She and Tristan, her husband, saw Madelynne go in the school bus that day. A field trip in Atlanta Zoo. Celestyn saw her last wave of goodbye to her. A normal work day for her, paper work and meetings. Celestyn was feeling happy but when she saw the news by lunch break, everything seems to have gone wary for the doctor.
The school bus where Madelynne was in, was toppled over. The doctor didn't believe that it was happening. Instead, she went on through her day without checking any of the news app on her phone. She waited until her husband called her and confirmed what she thought wasn't true. Celestyn wanted to get mad, cry, blame the school bus driver but she can't. She and her husband went to the hospital where Madelynne was taken, her corpse was full of trauma and she broke down at the morgue, blaming herself for everything.
