Athena Zhefarovich knew she looked good this evening. The dress she had bought for the ball complemented her eyes well, her tattoo peeking out from the spots where her skin wasn't covered and her hair was perfectly coiffed, waves cascading down her back. The Slytherin prefect made her way carefully up the steps from the dungeon, the bass from the music pounding away. When she finally reached the great hall, Athena paused before stepping inside. She always did before parties because they still made her a bit anxious. She never knew who (if anyone) would approach her. At nearly 6' tall in her heels, she was fairly certain that her presence was intimidating enough, and combined with her extremely volatile personality of late, she figured she wouldn't have much to worry about tonight.
So, she stepped in, gazing at the lovely decorations as she did. The tree in the corner reminded her of home, and Athena couldn't wait to head there. She missed her siblings and her dad, though she wasn't sure how that would go since this would be the first time that she would see her dad since he found out about her now ex-boyfriend. Pushing the thought out of her mind, Athena was determined to have a good night and she knew that her homecoming couldn't be too horrible. She'd be celebrating her birthday- the big one- over the break.
After listening to the Headmistress' brief greeting, Athena clapped along with everyone else. As people made their way onto the dance floor, the Slytherin moved away from it. She eventually found herself at the food table, grabbing a cup of something that had just magically filled itself. Athena took a sip, only a bit disappointed that no one had attempted to spike it. As the party continued on and the great hall filled up with more students and staff, Athena looked around for someone she knew, not wanting to be alone for too much longer. That would be lame.
