Apolline wasn't sure she was ready for her final year at school. She was however beginning it, and she had decided, though it was barely a second into things that she'd come to the library. At least there she would be able to focus on things which were of importance. Tangible. Her studies. She knew this was the most important year and knew that she had to work hard at it. Apolline had never failed an exam and she wasn't about to start now. The girl found a table, opened her books and got to studying.

Violet was a little nervous for her final year, but she was sure she would be able to get through it. Perhaps the most scary part was that she didn’t know what she was going to do once she left. There were so many possibilities and Violet didn’t feel like she could fit into any of them. Despite this, she wanted to at least keep her options open, and the way she would need to do that would be by working as hard as she could to get the best grades.

It was very early on, but the teen made her way to the library to get a head start with reading her textbooks for the year. There weren’t too many people there, but Violet recognised a classmate who seemed to have the same idea as her. She approached her with a somewhat friendly smile. “Hey, did you want a buddy or did you want to study alone?” she asked her. She felt like a study buddy wouldn’t be a bad idea, but she would definitely understand if Apolline said no.

Apolline wasn't too focused on her work yet, she was organising her books, fixing her notes together, making it be a little easier for her to be able to figure out what needed updated, what she wasn't very clear on and make sure that she was planning properly. She glanced up when she heard a voice and smiled at Violet. She didn't know her well, but also wouldn't mind the company. "I'd love a buddy," Apolline said.

Violet was admittedly taken aback a little when Apolline said she’d love a buddy. Violet wasn’t used to being wanted, so she smiled at this, feeling welcome for once as she pulled out a chair at the table Apolline was sitting at. She sat down and started taking her textbooks out of her backpack one by one. “What subjects are you taking this year? My classes this semester are Transfiguration, Care of Magical Creatures, and DADA. Maybe we could start with one of those?” Violet hoped that they at least were taking the same classes as that would definitely be a great start.

Apolline nodded, she pulled her schedule towards her. She had mostly the same, "I'm doing potions instead of Care of Magical Creatures, I think it would be good to start with Transfiguration," she said lightly. "It's been so long since i looked at like the theory from the first couple of years?" she phrased it like a question, to sense check with Violet if this was something she wanted to do.

Violet was glad that they seemed to have most subjects together. She was also glad that Apolline wanted to start with Transfiguration first as it was admittedly one of her poorer subjects. “For sure,” she responded with a nod. “All the laws of Transfiguration can get confusing, so that’s a good place to start.” The teen took out her old Transfiguration textbook from her first year. She was glad that she had brought it with her. It was definitely looking worse for wear, but still readable. She carefully opened it up to one of the first pages about restrictions and laws. “Should we start with animagi? Or Time Travel?”

Apolline gave a little nod of agreement. "I always forget how much theory there is in early transfiguration," she said with a smile, she opened the book and then took her notes out. "Animagi," she said, since that she knew had more theory than time travel and was a little easier to understand, this was early in the semester, there was no need to go too hard in what they needed to remember.
