The Ministry Controls You

The Auror rolled his eyes when he heard a member from the crowd making a statement about how they were trying to silence everyone. "Or trying to keep you safe." He mumbled, cross. It wasn't often that Braxton ever heard what the 'public' thought, but the Scits must have really gotten their point across if this was what they were thinking. Still, he knew what he had to do and what his orders were, and he continued to hold his wand firmly, pointing it towards the group. At least some of them had the sense to leave, and Braxton was glad that the majority of the public were dispersing, but he would give anything to be able to arrest some of the Scitorari. He found it stupid that they weren't able to yet, but they were hiding their faces, and technically were not doing anything wrong, but oh how he wished he could fight them. "I'm giving you five seconds to leave, or I will arrest you." Braxton snarled.

Yevheniy watched as the aurors really made themselves known and he looked towards the man who was clearly the one in charge of this little pathetic group of aurors, and so Yev moved forward, moving right up to where he was directly in front of the man and his wand, and smiled at him, "On what charge," he asked bluntly knowing or figuring that even if this man did arrest him, they didn't have anything to charge him with, so if he was arrested it would unlawful and he would have the higher ground, and he would be able to prove all of the points he was making about how the scits were right. Prove that the ministry did just control them, that they wanted to keep all the people under their thumb, he hadn't done much more than just been trying to gather new people, spread a differing opinion with next to no violence, they hadn't broken a single rule or law, and Yev knew that, and he knew that this Auror knew it, so it was a simple matter of trying of not backing down and knowing that he was right. "If you arrest me, auror, you prove my point,"

Braxton's eyes narrowed, a wave of anger heated his heart as one of the Scitorari members approached him, and it took all of Braxton's will power to not hex the life out of him right there and then. But there were still members of the public, and a duel was not the best idea, people could get hurt and caught in the cross fire. Still, when he looked at the man, Brax could tell he wasn't even that old; he seemed barely out of school. "We can start with disturbance of peace." Braxton growled at the boy. "Then also failure to obey orders. You now have three seconds."

Yevheniy looked at the man, and gave a frown at his words, "Disturbing the peace, we're merely gather and informing others," the man said in response clearly thinking that the point he was making was false. They weren't a disturbing the peace, the only ones that had an issue were the aurors, they were they ones making everyone feel on edge, they were the ones disturbing everyone else, "I mean, you are the ones making people feel on edge, what with having your wand out, threatening arrests," Yev continued the thickness of his accent filtering though, "We're just calmly having a conversation about how you guys control them, and then you come along, brandishing wands and putting everyone on edge," Yev finished waiting to see what he would do, thinking it would be a badge of honour to be arrested at such a thing, for essentially nothing.

Braxton was getting increasingly frustrated, he rolled his eyes at the young man's response. He really just wanted to arrest the man, though to be able to hex him would be better. But he had to remember Connie, his family and all the people around, dueling with this boy would not be a wise decision; certainly not without more backup. He took a small step forward, putting his wand up against his chest. "You know what your doing is wrong. But if you want to have a chat about it, why don't you come by my office, and we can discuss exactly what in your life you are doing that isn't exactly legal."

Yevheniy could tell that this wouldn't end well for either side if anything kicked off, although he longed to show this ministry drone exactly what he and the others were capable of, he knew it was likely a mistake, and the ensuing chaos from it, might not be worth it, they had to be better, the wand pointed directly against his chest felt oddly nice, the threat of violence excited him, this was exactly what he wanted to do. But, Yevheniy smirked at the man, holding his arms up in a sign of defeat, he would happily go to the man's office, a way into the damned awful ministry, but now was not the time for it, instead Yev, "Put the wand away, we're leaving," he assured the man, but before walking away, Yevheniy got close to the Auror, seeing no push back and getting as close to him as he could, "I expect we'll be seeing each other again soon, Auror," the Ukrainian man whispered quietly, so only he could hear it pulling away the cloth which covered his mouth and then before the older man could stop him, planted a kiss on the auror's cheek. He met the man's eyes as he pulled away, a smirk on his face, boy was Yev looking forward to it all, "Right, let's go," he called out, with a wave of his own wand making the banner wrap itself up, "The ministry has threatened us, and as good peaceful witches and wizards we'll comply, at least this time," he called out to what remained of the crowd, before summoning the banner to his hand and apparating away.

Finally, a sensible answer. Braxton was glad that the man finally decided to leave, but it seemed he hadn't said everything he meant to as the boy stepped closer to him. Braxton held his ground, not flinching as he told him they'd see each other again soon, which Brax hoped for, but was completely taken aback when he took the cloth away and kissed him on the cheek. He was stunned, but watched him carefully as he backed off, calling the rest of his team off. As the group apparated away, Braxton breathed deeply, realizing that he had been holding his breath. Anger continued to grow in his heart, even more angry now at the boy for what he had done - the nerve! Braxton needed to go have a hot shower, and disinfect his cheek multiple times. Growling, Braxton turned back around. "Alright, clear off! Show's over." He called to the reminder of the crowd. Brax was not in the mood for any more disruptions.
