The first of the day

The first rose Flavio needed to deliver that day was to someone named Raylee Lagowski. Flavio recognized the surname from the Gryffindor and Hufflepuff quidditch teams, but he knew that the name Raylee did not belong to either of the Lagowski twins. He was left puzzled for a moment before gaining the courage to ask around and eventually discover that the girl was in Slytherin. He was still scared of going down to the dungeons but he swallowed his fears that morning and walked as far as he could towards the Slytherin common room, hoping he would pass the girl on the way because he was clueless of how else to find her.

Valentines day. The mere utterance of the phrase made Ray want to roll her eyes, or gag. She'd resolved to shut herself away in the Slytherin common room until evening, but it wasn't even lunch time yet and she was starving. Sighing, the redhead released her hair from its bun and pulled on her robe, figuring she could look at the ground as she walked. She slipped out of the common room and started off swiftly for the first floor, praying she wouldn't come across any sappy, doe-eyed couples along the way.

Flavio looked up from the note of his rose recipients when he heard footsteps echo through the corridor. He saw a Slytherin coming his way and paused his own steps so he could speak up to gather their attention. He wasn't sure if they would help him find the person he was looking for, but figured asking was worth a shot as it had gotten him as far as the dungeons, no matter how scary he thought they were. "Hello." He greeted awkwardly. "Do you know Raylee Lagowski?"​

"UURGHH," Ray said, stomping to a halt and throwing her head back. "Yes, it's me," she said, finally looking down at the boy who had approached her. "What do you want?"
