The dark hiding

Trevor smiled "No, they didn't wanna come here" he answered with smile he had become such the exceptional liar, Well its almost the truth he thought Before they died they had no intention of coming here. He knew people would find out the truth eventually but while their family was still trying to get over the whole ordeal, he would lie his butt off if he had to.

"Oh right. I've met quite a few people who've come here alone." Shaylah could tell the boy was lieing. It was in his eyes. She just couldn't be bothered to question him about it. "So is your sister starting this year??"

"Oh right. That's cool. Tell her to go to Hogwarts. Beaxbatons sounds really horrible. I mean the girls have to wear skirts and that makes it a bad school already."

"I hate skirts and dresses and makeup and I especially hate pink. You'd never find me wearing any of them. They're all horrible." This was just one of the reasons why Shaylah was a tomboy. She hated girls who went around wearing skirts that only just covered their pants.

"So what made you want to transfer to New Zealand then??"

The light had instantly been taken from the world as the color around the two children faded away into black and white. They had been close to Obsidion Harbor and had they made it then they wouldn't be having this moment right now. Bleak Street was protected against filth like these and it's guardian would make the unworthy regret even thinking about walking down here. A Coldness began to fill the air as a song began to play, the voices were familiar and they seemed to be whispering however it was slightly louder then that. The air itself seemed not to allow the children to move as the walls to some of the building seemed to trembled from whatever force was keeping them there. Children should never go into Bleak Street without an adult, otherwise they deserve to get punished most severely Luxen thought as the voices grew a bit louder and the song could be made out clearly by the victims.

'Jack and Jill went up a hill' The voices were very familiar as the ground began to slope slightly, the children would have to watch there steps or they would indeed be taken a nasty fall. It didn't really matter however as the song continued with the next line.

'Jack fell Down and Broke his Crown' the male voice sung, The voice would've sounded very familiar to Trevor as it was his. A bucket of water hit Trevor on the head as he began rolling down the hill, a small amount of blood trickled from his forhead.

'and Jill came tumbling after' Shaylah's voice sung in an almost sweet kinda way as a chained sideswiped her legs causing her to fall after Trevor. As quickly as the world changed it was back to normal however the color, light and coldness remained.

Luxen wouldn't let these kids off that easy as the voices continued to sing. Luxen rather enjoyed this song and knew that these uneducated little monsters probably wouldn't be able to enjoy the subtleties of a good classic.

'We want to kill them' The song began as the voices of Trevor and Shaylah were matched with shadows that looked exactly like them. 'Please let us kill them' they sung sweetly as a butcher knife and a large chain appeared in there hands. 'we'll make it slow' They sung as they took a step forwards 'We'll make it sting' The shadows had more of a form as they looked just like the children except slightly more pale and definately happy and excited at the prospects of murdering these two. 'We'll make them scream' as they were only inches away from there prey. Luxen began to sing the final verse of the the song with great clarity and skill. 'I pardon thee' and with that the world was as it should as light, color and warmth returned to the world a messege of mercy granted on the pair as the shadows retreated and watched silently. Nothing remained except the bucket of water that had hit Trevor in the head cutting him slightly.

Shaylah heard voices singing. It took er a while to realise it was her's and Trevor's. The gound slopped and she saw Trevor fall down the hill. Then Shaylah fell down after him.
Shaylah looked around and saw shadows of her and Trevor forming around them. They were singing about killing the two of them. Then they all disappeared.
Standing up, Shaylah turned around to look at Trevor and said "Well that was confusing. I'll tell you one thing though, I didn't realise how much this jacket suited me."

Did the girl not think Luxen could hear her words, did she think she was being 'brave' or 'tough' by not acting afrraid. Luxen was something that not even Hell would accept and was not going to tolerate an insolent little girl. All light from the world vanished leaving everything in complete darkness. "I think the Jacket is the least of your worries now" Luxen said coldly without a form "I sentence you both to death" His cold tone said with a great deal of malice. Luxen snapped his fingers and as he did so two loud cracks could be heard throughout the streets. The girl Shaylah had just received a dose of heavy gravity as the preassure around both children grew. "You really don't know who your dealing with" Luxen said as several large black dogs appeared and began making there way towards both of the children, there teeth were stained with blood. The darkness would make the children impossible to see the approaching animals as they were multiplying very rappidely and with the loud mouth unable to walk Luxen was sure this would be over in only a matter of moments if not.... then all the more fun.

"Tear the flesh from their bones" Luxen ordered his pack of rabid dogs.

Shaylah heard a huge crack and suddenly she felt like she had 10 tonne weights pushing down on her. She fell to her knees and put her hands out to stop her going any lower. Seconds later, Shaylah heard the padding of feet runing towards them. The sound got louder until it was right next to them. Then something knocked Shaylah on her back and stood on her chest. She then felt more around her grabbing her arms and leg and chewing on them.

Luxen removed the shadows and the dogs of his illusion, even though the dogs were not real the mind believed they were real which meant that the pain was just a real as if they had actually been there. The area was still slight gray as Luxen walked up to the pair in his dark shadowy robes like a demon from hades. Luxen stared in amusement "Death is last year" Luxen said with a cool grim tone as he looked at both children with a dark satisfaction. "I have something morepersonal in mind" Luxen said as he stared coldly at the girl the gravity was brought back to normal. "This is not your place and you will leave and never come back without my permission" Luxen said very coldly as he gave a slight wave of hand. Luxen created another illusion for each of the children, these illusions were meant to create their fears come to life and not go away untill the children had left Bleak Street. "Enjoy your day" Luxen said with another dark smile as he vanished leaving the fears behind for the children to enjoy, they would not be unable to see each other or any other person untill they had left the dark alley.

Shaylah felt the thing on top of her disappear and she could stand back up. Then she could see the area around her start to light up. She could still feel pain in her arms and legs but when she looked there was nothing there. She was confused at this and scowled. Then she heard the voice again but now it was behind her and much closer. She turned around and saw what looked like a dementor. After talking more the figure then disappeared. Shaylah turned around to look at Trevor but he wasn't there. Looking round Shaylah couldn't see anyone. It was like being in Scotland again. The feeling of being alone andhaving no one there. She hated the feeling so she leant against the wall and slide down it so she was sitting down. She tried not to let any tears flow a she watched for someone to come. Anyone at all would make Shaylah happier than she was right now.

Trevor fell to the ground as a bucket of water knocked him on the head, on the ground he closed his eyes What the hell? he thought I'm imagining things he thought trying to wake himself up. As he reopened his eyes he heard a voice "This is not your place and you will leave and never come back without my permission. Enjoy your day" it said. Trevor looked up in confusion and tears began to roll down his face "Nooooo!" he whispered, softly. "NO!" he cried moving forward. He had no idea what had happened but he was back in his old house, and he had just walked in on his parents dead bodies. "No..." he said sadly turning around. He had been here before, this scene had happened along time ago it was just a memory or a nightmare or fear or something.

He turned around and walked in the opposite direction, the previous scenery reformed in this direction as well, Trevor froze there was something different this time, he took a step towards the bodies and realized it wasn't two bodies this time just one. "NOOOOOOO!!" he yelled this time running towards it "Jess!" he fell onto the body and allowed tears to run down his face, it was like his biggest fear in the world had come to life, here was Jess sprawled out on the floor, exactly the way he had found his parents. Through tears he glanced around, it looks too familiar he thought. Its exactly the way I found mom and dad he realized, this was our house in England he remembered this cant be happening we're in New Zealand he convinced himself.

Trevor pulled himself off his sisters body and looked away refusing to look back, he began to run. He ran and ran until his home in England disappeared and he found himself on one of the side streets of Obisidian, relieved it was a dream he fell to his knees, tears or relief stinging his eyes. He wiped them away before suddenly realizing horrified "Shaylah?" he called, hoping she would find her way out, he really didnt want to go back there

Shaylah carried on looking up and down the alley wishing that there was at least one other person there. She stood up to look for someone. Walking towards Obsidian, she kept her hand on the wall.
Shaylah stepped out into Obsidian and immediately saw Trevor. SHe hugged him. She didn't know what she was doing. She never thought she would hug a gryffindor. She was just so glad to see someone. "I'm so glad to see you. Where did you go??" Shaylah had a tear running down her face. She wasn't one to cry. Usually she would just hide her fear and upset act strong. It was the way she had been brought up but today she couldn't hide it.

Trevor hugged her back relieved she was okay, going through what they did together made him feel very protective over Shaylah. "Im so glad to see YOU!" he said with a sigh of relief "Thank merlin your okay!!" he said relieved holding her at arms length "Are you okay?" he asked concerned wondering what she saw.
"I just got out as well" he explained "I think we were in some sort of a dream or nightmare or illusion of some sort" he said thoughtfully "I just watched my worst nightmares come to life" he said tight lipped "But whatever it was must have stopped us from seeing eachother" he explained. "But really, are you okay?" he asked hoping what she saw hadnt been as bad as what he saw.

Shaylah wiped the tear from her face as Trevor was talking to her. "Same here. I hated it." Shaylah suddenly realised something. "I've been down Bleak Street loads of times and I've never seen or heard of that thing. If my dad knew about it, he would never have let me go in there." She looked back where she had just come from. There was a few people lingering but other than that it was quiet.

Trevor looked at Shaylah concerned as she said she hated it. He glanced back into bleak street "If I'd known things like that could happen, I wouldn't have wandered in there" he said concerned about how his little sister would have taken the scare. Or anyone Shaylahs age who weren't as brave as her "If I'd know I dont think I would have ventured in there by accident!" he joked trying to lighted their spirits.

Shaylah didn't know why the presence had been there ad she didn't feel like seeing it again yet she liked Bleak street. It was the one place she could hide in the shadows and not be noticed. Shaylah head Trevor try and cheer her up but she didn't think much could do so at this point in time. She couldn't get the presence out of her head. She smiled at him and looked around Obsidian to see if hr dad was anywhere in sight. She knew he'd be in the harbor today but she didn't know where. "I'd better go look for my dad."

Shaylah smiled when Trevor said he'd take her. She needed the company after what had just happened.
As they walked through Obsidian, Shaylah looked round for her dad. "I wonder where he is. He said he was going to be in Obsidian today but he never said where."
Then she saw her dog, Sasha, running around without Jay. Shaylah whistled as loud as she could and the dog's ears pricked up immediately. Sasha ran straight to Shaylah when she saw her.
Shaylah bent down s she could hug he dog. "Hey Girl. Where's dad??" he dog barked and started running further down the street untill she saw he dad. She ran as fastas she could and jumped into his arms.

Jay felt a someone suddenly jump at him. When he looked down he saw it was Shaylah hugging him. He bent down till he was at her level then looked her in the eyes. She looked like she had been crying. "Shay, what's wrong??" Jay knew Shaylah well and knew that she wasn't the kind of person to cry for no reason. She was usually brave and strong. He was worried about what the answer might be.

Shaylah looked at her dad and said "Thereome sort of presence in bleak street. It attacked us. I've never heard of there being a presence in bleak street before. Why's it there??" She hugged her dad, happy to have him there. She had always been very close withn Jay. Even when they argued they didn't like it.
