Kimmara Axel shook where she stood, swallowing thickly the bitter taste in her mouth. The blonde wore all black, a mourning of loss that could never fully be explained. Before her were two boys she'd come to know, two that she loved more than just in a romantic sense - as family. To her this moment, this very important moment, was everything. The images from the magazine burned in her mind, the words that were left as a bitter imprint on her appearance as a person. She was not being pushed toward modelling less as a fashion model, more lingerie, more bikinis - and even worse. "Any publicity is good publicity, doll." Her agent told her, looking down on her like a hawk ready to feast on pray. Kimmara shut her eyes for a moment and in took a breath before looking around the lounge room. It was a familiar room, Kimmy had been here many times before as a friend, to have fun like a normal teenager - to hide from the paparazzi.

Finally Kimmara's grey orbs settled on Abel, and she watched him. He could get sent to azkaban for harming her, no matter her story, no matter the truth. She knew what he was risking. The woman reached out for him and embraced him in a hug, tears already forming in her eyes. "Abel, no mat-ter what h-happens now a-and forever you will always be my cl-closest friend. You can c-come to me for a-anything, I p-promise." She moved from him and looked at Killua, but spoke no words to the man. She still had no reson to completely forgive him for their time together and thus did not yet approach him to become friends again. "So... H-how do we d-do this?" She asked.

If Kimmara thought she was nervous, she could not understand the utter chaos that was working its way through Abel's mind. He could be arrested for this, what if other people like him were affected by this? He had just got back in contact with his family - he was finally accepted again - and this could ruin everything. His entire life, and the lives of the people he cared about could all be ruined by this. And then there was hurting his friend, and he wasn't sure he could forgive her for talking him into this. His stomach was churning, his eyes sunken and dark, but he was alive, and he was ready to do as promised - disfigure a friend, for the rest of her life.

He had taken a vow to never bring harm to others, to never get into a fight, or lash out, because the consequences were dire. He was doing extremely well with not hurting others, and to this day, had never intentionally scarred someone like he was about to. He was released from the embrace, and his hands were immediately on his hips. He was pacing like a trapped animal, and that was exactly how he felt. His fingers ran through his hair, tugging at the ends, before he stopped abruptly and sighed. "Well, um... you just sit there, and I'll scar you. Can't be too hard." Probably. He looked at Killy for a moment, before looking back over at Kimmara. "You have one last chance to back out, Kimmy."

Kimmara's breathing was staggered as she looked at her best friend, her first love. For a moment she remembered his gentle hasty kisses on her face, on her neck. The way they'd needed each other, like she needed him now. Her hands were shaking at her sides and she felt as if she may explode. Her eyes were now downcast and she sat on the couch, the one that she and Killy had spent late afternoons lounging on - that she'd sat on with Mitch gossiping about everything. Nothing was the same in her life, everything was falling apart - and when she next saw Alecto with her ruined face she knew that would change too.

He gave her a chance to back out, and the room was silent. What if she just kept modeling, a ten year contract. Her parents would never let her pursue magic again, her producers would not either. She would not be allowed to write, or follow her dreams. There there was the media backlash - the words that were spoken. 'She uses her flirtatious attitude to get gigs over other girls, and I honestly can see how.' This was about more than just her pride. This was liberating her life finally. Her body shook and she nodded. "A-Abel, I don't know h-how I can ever thank you. A-are you sure y-you can do this?" She asked, not wanting to put him in too hard of a spot - even though considering this was a big step as it was.

Abel brought his hands together, squeezing and rubbing them to try and relief some of the stress he was beginning to build up. His heart was pounding against his chest, but if he didn't do this for her, then she would either be stuck for the rest of her life - or worse, go find someone that would. If she was going to go and do this, have scarring from a werewolf, he would rather it be done by himself. At least he would do it as shallow as possible, and keep her from getting too hurt. She was safe here. He could patch her up, and it would be okay.

"Yes," he said abruptly, before clearing his throat and nodding. "I mean, yeah. Um, I'm sure. I'm sure if you're sure." No time like the present, really. He began gently scratching at his own arms and wrists. "Are you ready? It'll sting a little, but I'll be as gentle as possible. Promise."

Kimmara placed hands on the bits of skin that would be forever changed, forever scarred. She'd never be the same, and she had Abel to that for that. She'd never hold it against him - and forever be in his debt. The woman looked down before nodding. "A-Abel, I trust you..." She spoke. Her sentences were less stutter now - with a person she trusted and cared for so much. There was a brief moment of silence before she closed her eyes and turned her head. She knew the scars had to be placed so as to be enough to keep her out of modelling for her life - permanent disfigurement was the price she paid.

Abel nodded, it was done. They were doing this. He looked at Killua, trying to find some sort of comfort, before nodded once again. He spent a moment psyching himself up, approaching her tediously, as if she were to harm him. He took a deep breath now, not sure whether this would hurt her the most, or whether it would hurt him. It felt very painful to do this, to scar his friend. She was family to him, and he was going to disfigure her face. He was actually going to hurt her. They had talked about the time, and the place, and where the scars would be - now it was just time to do it. He had promised.

He was quick, and he was as gentle as he could possibly manage. His eyes were squeezed shut as soon as it was done, as they were now stinging, but he had done the swipes as quick as possible, and now it was time to tend them. Claw marks were on her neck, and on her cheek running down. Small trickles of blood seeped from the wounds, but not as much as he had expected. He was already feeling pale, and he sought about helping in the cleaning as soon as possible - thankfully, Killy was here to help them.

Kimmara felt like the wait was going to kill her, and then it came. The pain was akin to a hot iron, the sting of a paper cute mixed with pain from what she could only assume was the fact that these were werewolf scars. When his hands struck her skin for the first time she cried out, but the second time she was silent, biting her lip to hold in the pain from the scarring. There was a small trickle of blood down her cheeks, her collarbone causing the most concern as the skin was light there. Against her peach and cream complexion it shown bright, washed into the collar of her shirt with tears.

The blonde wasn't able to look, she was too scared. She had no way to heal this, even with magic medicine. Her chest rumbled with small sobs of both physical and emotional pain. She waited until the room was silent, waited for them to tend to her, before she would dare to speak.

Killua was not okay with this. He really wasn't. It was not that he was uncomfortable with the whole thing that Kimmara was sitting in the lounge while he was standing off in the corner, leaning against the wall and his arms crossed in front of him. It really wasn't the fact that his kind-of ex was within the same room as him and that was certainly a few levels of awkward that he didn't quite know how to handle. But it was more of the fact of what was going to happen which he was not okay with. This whole scarring thing was not something he was completely cool with and he doubted that he even had to be okay with it for it even to remotely happen. Kimmara wanted a scar to get out of modelling? Okay. Cool. He wasn't against that. What he was against was that it was Abel who would be doing the whole scarring! After all, his... housemate... didn't even seem remotely comfortable with doing all this! The former assassin knew how the werewolf felt about hurting people, especially those he labeled as friends, like Kimmara, and so this whole business that was going to happen was something that Killua didn't want to happen. But since both parties had already agreed on it, there was pretty much nothing he could do but watch and make sure that nothing goes severely wrong as far as the medical stuff is concerned.

Killua was silent during the whole exchange between the two, only giving a subtle nod and a grim smile when Abel turned to look at him. That was the best form of comfort he could offer given the situation. He knew it would be fine. He knew Abel had some control at the very least. But that didn't make it any easier for the werewolf. He didn't cringe nor did he look away when the deed was done though he did leave his position to grab the medical kit and the basin of water that had been prepared earlier. He brought it closer to the pair and gave Abel a quick pat on the shoulder, subtly telling him that he'd take over the rest of what needed to be done. "Take a breather," he mumbled to Abel before getting the washcloth wet with water and beginning to tend to the wounds of the former Hufflepuff. "This is gonna sting a little but bear with it," he told the female before he set off to work with tending to her bleeding wounds.

Kimmara's entire body shook, and she didn't bother to hide it anymore. Petite fists gripped at the cloth of her skirt, and the salt from her tears stung wounds that would never truly heal. In her chest her heart ached, and she only wanted to hug Abel and thank him again, and again, and again. Finally, after water had been tended to any near her eyes, the girl looked ahead. The whites of her eyes were nearing red from crying, something she was sure both boys were familiar with by now. She thought silently for a moment, looking between the two and only flinching occasionally. It was only moments later - eternities passed it seemed - that Killua was finished, and her wounds had stopped bleeding. The sting from whatever caused them to remain unhealed was still seeping into Kimmara's skin, her veins throbbing as if to will the wounds closed.

The silence in the room had become deafening, and the Hufflepuff alumni finally spoke up. "I-is it done?" She asked, hoping she would not need more scars, more pain, and to hurt her friend more.

"Yes," Abel replied quietly, now that she was cleaned up. he had taken the time to scrub his hands raw, trying to remove all traces of what he had done from them. He didn't look Kimmara in the eyes as he reminded her where the door was, directing to it vaguely with his hand. She got what she wanted, and that was that. They could all go about their lives and never speak of this again. "You can go now, Kimmara, and tell them you cannot model anymore." It was already an unspoken agreement that Abel would not be mentioned - this was, after all, illegal. "I'll see you later." He really didn't expect to, though. With a quick nod to Kimmy, he patted Killua on the back as he past and headed for his room.
