This would be the last time Geo had a chance to see the waves crashing into the sides of the Brighton pier, for at least the next year. For not the first time in her ever so short life, Geo was being sent away. She knew the inevitable letter would be arriving soon and that would be that. She would be shipped off on the next boat to New Zealand, leaving her family far behind.
She stood alone now, seperated from those she called her own. She needed the time to get accustomed to the unfamiliar, otherwise there would be no way she'd survive at Hogwarts. St Marie's Orphanage for Magical Children, had certainly not left her in the dark about her future as a witch, but the prospect of moving to an entirely new country was a thought not for the faint of heart.
Geo's bright pink hair blew in the wind, and her blue eyes drifted across the shore, trying to take in every last detail. She was found to be at peace with the violence of the sea, as though unable to angry when something so natural was at force. She glanced at the others on the beach at this time, and her attention was drawn by a small family, obviously enjoying themselves in the lovely weather. Geo would never have known what it felt like to be in a family, with a mother and father, brothers and sisters. But she was grateful for those she had met along the way, and it would be difficult over the coming months to seperate from them, as Geovanna's life was about to change.

<SIZE size="50">Sara sighed, looking out at the beautiful scene in front of her. The sea always calmed her down when she just wasn't feeling so great. Her parents had taken out on holiday for a treat for the first time in her life and Sara had been suspicious as to why they'd do that. She knew they were trying, but she also knew they had never made an effort this big before. Her siblings were magical and so was she and she couldn't - and wouldn't - do anything about it. The wizarding world seemed right for her in a way that she could not explain. It felt right, as if she was meant to belong there in the first place. It felt a lot better going to that school in New Zealand instead of staying in Italy and go to the schools there, where the system was not the greatest, in Sara's opinion. So she wanted out and she could not wait for that moment to come. She still had an entire year though and she had to accept it. There was still time to change her parents view on their children not being like them but Sara also know that wouldn't work for a long while. And to be honest Sara needed space from her family sometimes.

Her parents were somewhere having breakfast and at least because she wasn't hungry they had let her wander off to the beach as long as she was in their sight. As relieved as she was to be shipped off to another country to learn how to be a witch Sara needed time to let it all sink in. That was all she had time to think about before her mother and father were on their way. She barely greeted them however, as her attention was on a girl with unordinary pink hair, the most amazing thing she had seen yet in the UK.
Ignoring her parents' call, Sara walked over to the girl. She seemed lonely and Sara knew the feeling, even when she was constantly surrounded by family members. "Hi," she started not wanting to make a bad first impression in front of the girl. "I'm Sara. I wondered why you looked sad. Want to join me and my parents? We're going to take a walk along the sea." She smiled softly to reassure the pink-haired girl that she did not mean any harm. Sara might as well make a new friend before going to the magical school to her siblings. Besides she had seen strange things happening to her lately and this girl's hair was the least weirdest thing of them all. She wondered if the girl's parents were around but she didn't want to ask, it wasn't any of her business.

As Geo watched the family in the distance, a sudden voice at her side made her jump out of her skin. Clearly she had been in deeper thought than first imagined. Geo's first thought was that she wasn't sad, but listened to what the girl had to say. She'd never had a proposal quite like it, especially from a stranger, but as she looked Sara up and down and glanced at her family, she came to the conclusion she may as well start stepping out of her comfort zone now considering the near future. "Sure, thanks" she smiled back, not quite sure what Sara's intentions were, but happy enough to go along with her for the time being. "Do you live here?" she asked the girl, who on closer inspection seemed to be of a similar age. She wasn't the greatest at picking up accents, and quite frankly thought it best to always be up front and honest. Clearly this girl too was outgoing, and she liked that. "I'm Geo," she added. She never used her full name, no one did.

As Geo followed the girl, they began to walk along the seafront. She was definitely going to miss it here when she moved. Despite it not being confirmed, and Geo not yet having recieved her Hogwarts letter, she had already shown her magical talents within the orphanage and it was a fact she would be attending Hogwarts one way or another. If not New Zealand, then Scotland. She'd heard of other magical schools but had no passion for these. She'd grown up knowing about Hogwarts, and felt as though that was the one for her. Grateful for the company, Geo turned her attention back to the girl. Maybe she was sad? "I really like it here you know" she began, not really sure what she was trying to say. "Even if it does make your hair feel strange afterwards!" That was her attempt at a joke, and she smiled nervously off to herself, clearly not in the most charismatic mood.

OOC: It's just the default but made pink. If you add [/size=1.] to either end though (without dots ofc), it will make the line spaces smaller :3

OOC: ah finally got it thank you xD

Sara almost apologised to the girl for scaring her. She spoke however and the brunette could tell she was from around here. She had heard that accent enough times during the past week to know exactly who were tourists and who lived here. She beamed at the other girl when she smiled back at her - finally she thought she had found someone who didn't judge her at first glance. "No, I live in Rome with my parents and my siblings are in school," she almost gave away where they went because after all Sara was proud of them but she couldn't blab out everything to a stranger as she had no idea whether this girl was like her or not. "But," she added "they live in another country." Sara sighed subconsciously, not really sure how to take those news that she still had to wait an entire year until she was able to go live with them. The ten year old secretly could not wait for that moment to come. She'd had enough of her home strangely enough and she was this young.

She grinned. "I like Geo. You have a lovely name. I'm Sara." She spoke in her Italian accent when she introduced herself because of her name and how it was pronounced. The English way to spell her name would be Sarah but because there was no 'h' in her name specifically her Italian accent came through. It hadn't been very long since she had started taking english lessons however, Sara hoped the girl she'd just met would understand her well enough, she was unsure whether she was speaking too fast. Sara nodded. "Yeah, it's beautiful here, it's very peaceful." Rome was never this peaceful, she thought. There were always people or music or just general noise in the city it was hard for her to get a single moment of silence, unless you count sleeping and even then there was laughter from somewhere in the neighbourhood. Sara giggled at the other girl's joke. "Agreed. I do love your hair though! I've never seen someone with pink hair before."

Geo was an adventurous child, and not a very bright one. "Rome - Is that in Italy?" She asked Sara. She'd heard of it briefly before but couldn't be sure. When her new friend mentioned that her siblings were in a school in another country, she wondered how you could live apart from those you knew. Geo had no family, except those she called her own at the orphanage, but she would have been distraught if any of her friends there left for another part of the world. "Where do they live?" She pressed, wondering how often Sara got to visit her family. It must be so hard to live apart.

Geo smiled as her name was complimented. Geo too loved her name, and she had yet to find another person with it. "I think Sara is lovely. It sounds very graceful" she added, wondering if the owner was in any way similiar. Graceful was something Geo was definitely not. She was clumsy and loud, and often got in the way of things or people. She was often hot-tempered, as though she derserved to be noticed. It was one of the reasons she wore her hair the way she did. It was bright and it was bold, and Geo didn't want to be forgotten again.

"Thank you" She smiled Sara, "I like to have fun with it. Keep it interesting" No one at home ever had a problem with it either, they were happy as long as Geo wasn't getting herself into any serious trouble. She wondered now what they would think right now if they could see her, as the pink haired girl walked together with a stranger and their family. She pushed the thought from her mind. Why should they care? Soon she would be spending her whole life around strangers, and she wouldn't be staying at the orphanage forever.

Sara nodded, smiling. "Yeah! It's probably one of the oldest places in existence." She did not know whether that was true but from what her parents had taught her Rome was ancient. And she loved hearing all about it and the type of lifestyle they had back then. Thinking of her home made her think of her older siblings and her smile faltered, if only for a second. She shrugged and replied, "they live in New Zealand, there's a boarding school there." She hoped she hasn't revealed too much but Sara was too busy reflecting on how that school was like to notice the minor slip up she was about to say. "I wonder how they find it though, it must be really different there. The weather is opposite there to what I am used to," she added as they walked along the beach together.

Geo's comment about her own name made her laugh. "Yeah - except that my mother chose the name and my father agreed. They're not very graceful though I have to admit, my parents really liked the way it sounds," she chattered happy to have made a new friend. It had been a while since she socialised with somebody who was nice and was willing to talk to her to pass the time.
"Do you get to choose the colour of your hair?" She asked Geo in awe. That would be so cool if she could, but her parents didn't like it when people dyed their hair another colour from their original. Sara was happy to have met someone different and with that much awesomeness to show off.
