Petar stood wrapped in a heavily lined coat, one hand linked with that of his good female friend, the other poised and ready to strike the front door. It was peculiar to meet somewhere other than the family home, but his younger brother Zdravko had insisted upon inviting the entire family to the home he shared with his fiancée. Apparently the French girl had promised to cook them a hearty meal. Petar could only hope, as he stood atop the doorstep with a grumbling stomach, that her abilities in the kitchen were as good as Zdravko boasted.

No sooner had Petar's fist struck the front door, sending the knock echoing around the dimly lit, rain-soaked street, Zdravko had appeared in the open doorway, welcoming the two of them in. His eyes looked questioningly at Petar's plus-one, but he said not a word more than necessary. "Zdravko, this is Sakura. Sakura, this is one of the unfortunate litter I came from." Petar shot Zdravko a smirk. Zdravko laughed, greeting the woman and showing the two of them through to the small dining room.

While the room may have been cramped, it was good to be amongst family again. Yakov and Aaliyah had even made it over from New Zealand to join them. Aaliyah's bump held her back from her plate, and Yakov beamed like a millionaire. Oh how Petar envied the both of them. The twins, barely out of school in Petar's opinion, had been split apart since Yosif's runaway romance with some girl called Nobody. Yulian sat at the table, however, sulking into his plate, clearly missing tormenting his younger twin. Dominicus had made it back over to Europe for the get together and seemed surprisingly healthy for a man of his condition. Gavrail was nowhere to be seen. Then again, he was always so busy having a life. Viktoriya was the only other missing as her final year in Durmstrang drawled onwards.

Petar held Sakura's hand beneath the table, lifting his other to brush a piece of the wind's debris from her fine black hair. She turned to him, seeking out his eyes. The two gazed at oneanother for a moment before growing overcome by the flush of looks around the table. They returned to avoiding the eyes of others, waiting for the food to arrive.
