[name] Thanatos Asterion Van Alstyne
[etymology] The first name Thanatos means in mythology death. The impression that the name gives out is a grissly one, as it implies that death is coming. The middle name Asterion also comes from mythology which means ruler of the stars. The impression that this name would give someone would be a leader and a noble man. The surname Van Alstyne means from old or highstone. The entire name is not thought of much by Thanatos. He does not care for his name meanings but overall it does fit the type of man that he is.
[origin] Thanatos Asterion was picked by his biological parents before being placed up for adoption for being a male. His original surname was Grimrar however he is currently not aware, nor does he want to be aware. The Grimrar family were from Britain, and the family became so inbred that the genes started to mutate such as the odd colored eyes. Very rarely does a descendant end up normal. Sometimes they have huge tempers or cannot perform magic well. Most minds of the Grimrars turn up extremely sinister before sinking into insanity if they allow themselves to. The relatives of the Grimrars are few, as many have changed their last name to get away from the bad reputation. Vyhnal is a variant of the family. Now the surname that he carries is Van Alstyne, yet he also had a different surname while growing up. Halsing. He was adopted by the Halsing family, and he remained in Britain for little time. After the mysterious deaths of the entire family, Thanatos fled to Germany and changed his name to Van Alstyne. Therefore the origin of his unique last name, yet has no relation to any variants of his last name to anyone else.
[nicknames] As of right now, he does not have any nicknames, nor does he answer by anything except his name.
[alliance] He is ultimately neutral, and only cares about himself.
[birthdate] Thanatos was born on April 2nd, 2004. He knows virtually nothing from his birth.

[sexual orientation] He is heterosexual however as of right now, Thanatos does not look for women or hold any attraction to any.
[dialects] Thanatos' first language was German, and his second language is English. Currently, he is learning Bulgarian, overall he prefers English over all other dialects.
[hometown] Thanatos grew up in a small town in Britain. He prefers not to speak of it, however the town has seen vanished. No one knows what happened to the town that Thanatos once lived in.
[residency] Thanatos currently lives in Nelson, New Zealand in a good sized home. He used to live with Nicholai Van Zant, his frined, who he virtually kicked out the first chance he could get, desiring to be alone once more.
[heritage] Thanatos' parents were full-blooded British, which means that he is as well.
[blood status] It was not until 2034 when Thanatos discovered that he was a pure-blood. As of right now, he honestly does not care.
[blood type] Thanatos has O negative blood. There is a belief in Japan that a blood type would give someone good traits and bad. The good traits are agreeable, sociable, an optimist while the bad traits are vain, careless, ruthless, cruel. The bad traits are true to his character.
[wand] The wand that chose Thanatos was the Maple 13" Core of Unicorn's hair. The wood in the wand, Maple, chooses a witch or wizard that would be an explorer or a traveler. They prefer ambition in their master. It loves challenges, and changes which will make it shine. This is a beautiful and desirable wood, and wand quality maple has been among the most costly for centuries. It is easy to turn to the Dark Arts, and it is often temperamental. Unicorn hair generally produces the most consistent magic, and is least subject to fluctuations and blockages. Wands with unicorn cores are generally the most difficult to turn to the Dark Arts. They are the most faithful of all wands, and usually remain strongly attached to their first owner, irrespective of whether he or she was an accomplished witch or wizard. Somehow, Thanatos turned his wand to the Dark Arts.

[health status] He is healthy. One might say that he has a huge temper and needs medical attention however.

[personality] Thanatos has a very cold and vivid personality. So far, he experiences some issues with being around certain people. And he often blows others off to be alone. He is extremely cold to just about everyone he meets in attempt to drive them from his life. He does not like it when people are within his personal bubble. Thanatos has a temper when it is ignited. He will lash out at people and it does not matter who they are either. He can often be sarcastic and witty. Thanatos knows how to get the things he wants, and he does not care who or what gets in his way. Overall, Thanatos likes to be alone, and he prefers it to stay that way unless something drastic changes in his life. He even drove his best friend out of his life, and several of his school peers.

[fears] Thanatos does not open his fears to anyone, but he often does not like being outside, and he has a phobia of being surrounded by a crowd of people.

Thanatos also enjoys working on his house to make it better looking as well. He also likes to pick on Nicholai for his unique way of living and lifestyle.

[strengths] Thanatos has a variety of strengths. Most of the strengths have yet to be seen however. Thanatos has a strong sense of mind, which is perhaps his greatest strength of all. He uses his mind in everything he has ever done in his life, and he does not do anything unless he has thought everything through completely. He also has a strong tongue, which can get him out of tight situations. He can turn a logical argument into an argument where he wins. It is a fairly good strength of his. When it comes to magic, Thanatos' strong points rest within his ability to duel and to fight (physically as well). He can pinpoint weaknesses by observing them and using it against his enemies. He tends to use the Dark Arts, and it is a subject he is very good with. His potion skills are excellent as well, as long as he has the right ingredients.
[weaknesses] The biggest weakness that Thanatos has would be people. He knows virtually nothing about people and he does not want to know either. He does not know how to react around them and tends to get nervous which ends up him being mad about everything. Thanatos also has a weakness to push people away, even if he wants to. He prefers to be alone, but he is also vulnerable at that point, where he is able to succumb to madness that is inherited. When it comes to magic, Thanatos is not very good at Transfiguration at all, and he has no knowledge of Astronomy. He also cannot block as well as he can throw curses. His shield spells need a little more work to them.

[magical talents] The magical talents that Thanatos possess range from nonverbal magic casting and potion work to Dark Arts knowledge. He can duel effectively with two wands if needed (but he does not own a second wand). Thanatos prefers to seek out no assistance, and he can see what a person is weakest in by observing them closely.
[other talents] Thanatos has a talent of shoving people out of his life through unique means. He also has a talent of cleverly solving problems. He tends to know how to fight and even fight dirty. That is also a strong talent of his.
