Jasmin tied up her new purple converses that she had received as an early birthday present from her parents. Actually her whole outfit was an early present from her. Jasmin was glad that her parents knew her better than her sister when it came to picking out clothes for the teenager, but at least Kira was learning now that Jasmin wasn’t fond on the whole ‘girly’ look and incorporated that into the clothes she picked out for her younger sister. The shop wasn’t too busy at the moment so Jasmin took a packet of self shuffling cards from one of the shelves and went outside and sat on the bench outside the shop.

Crossing her legs, Indian style, Jasmin opened the new packet of cards and set them out in front of her. She watched as they began to shuffle themselves, laughing slightly. Jasmin enjoyed magic, she was a squib so she couldn’t perform any of her own. This was why she loved helped Kira out in her shop because almost all of the products did magic of some sort and even a simple thing like a pack of cards shuffling themselves made her feel more like a witch than she probably ever would be.

Zavier was bored. Well, bored was an understatement. The only things left to do were studing and heading back to Brightstone. Hard choice, he decided, chuckling a little. A few coins rattled slightly in Zavier's pocket as he strolled up the street to his favourite shop, to view the merchandise and see if there was anything new to pore over, or maybe (probably) buy. Stumbling a little on the cobbled ground, Zavier turned to enter the shop, but spotted a girl there. He recognised her, she was the one that hung round the shop, right?

Zavier stepped up to her, smiling as usual. "Hey, self-shuffling right?" he grinned, taking a look at the cards. "I have the same set."

[sorry, crap post]

Hearing a small scuffle behind her, Jasmin turned around to a see a boy who just seemed to be catching himself as if had almost fallen. Smiling up at him Jasmin wondered where she had seen him before, he was definitely familiar. “Yeah.” she replied to him. Then she remembered where she had seen him before. “I know, I sold them to you.” she said, her smile widening. Jasmin loved helping her sister out around the shop, it gave her something to do seeing as she didn’t go to school. “You back for some more?” she asked, as he looked like he had just about been ready to enter the shop.

"So you did." Zavier grinned, inwardly cursing himself for not remembering. The cards were one of his first buys at the shop, and now it seemed that all his money went into it. He looked at the ground, wondering if he should just go inside and let her be. But the girl seemed friendly enough, so he stuck about. "Aw probably. Need something to liven up the dull days at school." Zavier stuck on a brave face at the mention of school, it was so boring to him. At least Libby would be at Hogwarts, if he was able to get in. Zavier sat down next to her, facing into the weak sun he shielded his face with his hand to look at the girl. "It would appear that we haven't properly met," he laughed, sticking out his hand in a mock formal manner. "I'm Zavier, nice to meet you."

Jasmin smiled back as the boy recognised her. To be honest Gambol and Japes wasn’t exactly bursting to the brim with customers, so when she saw one of the few customers Kira had let her serve, it didn’t take her too long to recognise them. Jasmin laughed at the boys words, like everyone else around their age school wasn’t the most exciting part of their lives. Then again Jasmin wouldn’t know much about school, it had been three years since she had been at a school but Kira and the odd time Leo would give her some lessons on magic things that didn’t involve actually being able to do magic. Unfortunately for Jasmin these were some of the more boring classes like; History of Magic, lucky she was able to do some Potions would could be fun at times. Watching the boy as he sat down beside, Jasmin sat up a bit more straight to allow room for him on the bench. Taking his hand she replied, “Nice to meet you too Zavier. I’m Jasmin. So do you go to Hogwarts?” she asked, expecting so seeing as he was in Brightstone on the Weekend that the ones from Hogwarts were allowed to visit.

"Nope, Durmstrang. But I come from round here, so I might transfer for fifth year." Zavier wondered where this girl went to school, she always seemed to be here when he was. He looked back in the direction of the shop, surprised at the amount of people he was meeting this weekend. It was so different to hiding in his dorm and reading, people here were so friendly. Well, the ones he had met were.

"Ooooh!" Jasmin said, intrigued. "Durmstrang that's so cool!" she exclaimed, not having actually met anyone from Durmstrang before. Surprising she knew that Brightstone and it's surrounding areas got a lot of trade from Durmstrang, which seemed strange seeing as it was at the other side of the World. Although in Zavier's case she didn't find it so strange. "Do you not think it's weird being so far away from home though?" she asked, knowing herself what it was like to be away from home for a lot of the time. Then again she lived with her sister so that helped but Kira took Jasmin home to see her family whenever she wanted and at times still stayed back in her old room for a few days.

Zavier shook his head a little as she said Durmstrang was cool. He certainly didn't think so, he wanted to transfer as soon as he could. "You think?" His voice was a little surprised, and he had a bemused smile on his face. "Not weird, once you're used to it. My family are forever sending me owls though, so it's like they're right there anyway."

(sorry for the wait)

No worries :)

“I do actually.” she said sticking her tongue out playfully. “You’re the first person I’ve met from there and I find anything to do with magic pretty cool.” she said with a small shrug, but still full of life. Jasmin laughed as he talked about his family. “My parents are like that too.” she said, although they didn’t send her owls, more like her brother who was actually away from home, at school, whereas she was just away from home. “So what brings you here anyway? Scoping out the area for when you transfer?” she asked, wondering if there was maybe another motive behind his visit so far from home.
