Closed Testing Boundaries

Teo was bound to go exploring- especially when he was told he shouldn't wander places. Deciding not to hit the forest quite yet, he'd gone to the cliffs instead, surprised to see them but also thinking it made the most sense ever. Had no one ever fallen from them? Was it kept hidden like some big, tantalizing secret? Was there magic to stop that from happening? He was just dying to know. He'd walked the length of them once already, and was on a second round now, glad he wasn't afraid of heights. He hummed, hands in his pockets, and stopped to lean out over the edge a bit, trying to see just how high up these cliffs really were.

Kiera knew the cliffs were technically supposed to be off limits, but that only made them more intriguing to the young Gryffindor girl. Classes would start soon, which meant she wouldn't have as much time to explore. She intended to make the most of today. However, it seemed like she wasn't the first one with the idea to visit the cliffs. The brunette approached him with curiosity. "Hey! Whatcha doing?" she asked brightly.

Teo looked up, an impish grin automatically on his face. "Nothin," He replied immediately, even as his tone was full of mischief. "What are you doin?" He countered, turning to face the girl approaching him. He thought maybe she was in his class, but he was horrible with names. And faces. And people. But that wasn't the point. He cocked his head to the side, just watching his new companion to see what she'd do.

Kiera's interest was peaked by the tone in this boy's voice. It certainly didn't sound like he was doing nothing, and whatever he was doing, she wanted in. "I wanted to see the cliffs we aren't supposed to visit." she said with a shrug. "It seemed like a good place to explore." Kiera said, looking around the area. "I think we're in the same house. I'm Kiera." she introduced herself.

Teo relaxed, still sporting a mischevious grin. "Teo," He introduced, bouncing over and offering out his hand. "You sound like my kind of person, Kiera," He gave her a playful wink. "Shall we go exploring?" He asked, already thinking of all the adventures they could have.

"Nice to meet you, Teo" Kiera said, taking the outstretched hand and shaking it firmly. She grinned at the boy as he said she seemed like his kind of person. She thought she had found her newest friend. "Absolutely." she said brightly. "Let's go!" the brunette said energetically. "You've been here longer than me. What have you found so far?" she asked curiously.

Teo sighed dramatically, starting to walk again with the expectation she'd join him. "Not a thing," He complained. "The cliffs aren't hiding any big secrets, unless we want to try and rock climb the cliffs," He considered. "But I bet they put some charms or something to tattle on us if we do."

 

[Kiera Potter-Cade]

Kiera joined Teo as he started walking again, listening to what he had to say about the cliffs so far. “You’re probably right. I bet there’s some kind of ward to keep us from falling off the side. There are some big rocks over there.” She said pointing straight ahead. “I bet we could climb those if you want to climb rocks” the brunette suggested.

Teo lit up, and gave her a quick smile, before he started running for the rocks. "Let's go!" He called to her, not even breaking speed as he jumped up onto a rock and tried to climb it. He made it about halfway up before he fell, landing back on the ground with an oof followed by a laugh. "Owww," He complained. He sat up, rubbing his sore head.
