Sapphire had been a bit nervous since she had made the Slytherin team. She knew it was a possibility, but a part of her hadn't actually expected to make the cut. Yet here she was, an alternate beater. You've really done it now, Sapphy. She chided herself as she made her way to the Quidditch Pitch, broom in hand. But you made the team, and you're going to do a good job or die trying. She was wearing her cloak, figuring it was similar to the Quidditch robes, and her raven hair was pulled back in a slick ponytail.

"Ok... you can do this," She breathed, gripping the bludger beneath her arm tightly. She tossed it into the air and watched as it zoomed up and away. She mounted her broom and took off after it quickly, bat in hand. Bloody Hell that's fast, She spent a good hour just working to outmaneuver it. Every time she got to where she could swing, she would hit it hard enough that it would go soaring across the field, but she would nearly be knocked off her broom by the force of it.

Still, she was pleased with her progress. That is, until she took a swing at it and instead of heading up like she'd intended, the bludger went spiraling right towards a girl coming onto the Pitch.

"Look out!" Sapphire yelled, knowing she wouldn't get in front of it in time.

Lauryn was excited to be part of the Hufflepuff team despite being just an alternate. It was still an important part of her team. Sickness can deter a player and it'll be a surprise. Lauryn is far from ready, she was made to be on the team. She'd been waiting for this opportunity early on her age. Yes, she's just twelve but nonetheless. The Hufflepuff Keeper excitedly went to the Quidditch pitch to try on the new broom her mum bought her. It was unexpected to see her advance birthday present when she woke up one day before they were off to Hogwarts New Zealand again.

She knows money was tight right now for their family but she guess that their money in the wizarding world was still stable. Upon arriving the pitch, she took a deep breath. The spring weather and the flowers gorgeous smell linger everywhere. The brunette girl stood there for quite sometime, she was about to stretch but Lauryn heard someone shout of caution to her. Lauryn, being used to fast paced (no doubt she was alternate keeper) saw the on coming bludger and mounted her broom quickly, she kicked off the ground away from the bludger as it hit the spot where she was before.

Hovering a hundred feet off the ground, her heart beat was rapid like she was just running for a marathon. Lauryn thought of how the heck a bludger came lose? The girl took out her wand and cast finite on the bludger, she almost didn't get the bludger but it was targeting her again. The bludger free fall onto the ground, Lauryn was relived. Frustrated, she looked for the person or people responsible for letting it out. Her gazed looked upon a dark haired Slytherin girl. She flew toward her, stopping and hovering a few feet. "Did you have permission from your captain to let a bludger out? Or are you the captain?" She asked rather not calmly and it wasn't like Lauryn. But to the extent she almost died there, who wouldn't be calm?

Jacob hadn't expected to make the team, he was going for the position of benched player. Unfortunately for him he didn't got any alternate position, he made the actual team. From now on Jacob was one of the Ravenclaw chasers. He knew that Quidditch wasn't as popular under Ravenclaws as it was with the other teams and that it was a possibility that he was going to play, but he somehow hadn't expected it. He didn't own a broom nor clothes and those had to be bought last minute.

His parents were muggles so they didn't have magical money at hand, but they were wealthy muggles. They had exchanged most of Jacob university money, he wasn't going to an university anytime soon anyway. Now he attended a magical school he didn't want to turn back anytime soon. When Jacob walked to the pitch to train alone he spotted two girls there. He had already waited way too long to train and his first game was coming up in less than a week. He knew he couldn't turn around and practice at night, the pitch would be pitch black and he still hadn't done the spell lumos. Jacob sighed and looked at a falling bludger, which was completely still which meant someone immobilized it. Too bad since the spel that was casted upon the suckers was pretty hard to do according to theory.

He picked up the bludger and looked up to see the two girls flying on their broom. Jacob knew it was illegal to train with bludgers without the captain of the team. Bludgers could be deadly if they were handled wrongly. ''Whose idea was it to bring these murderous things into play.'' Jacob said while mounting his broom and flying to the two girls. He was pretty sure it was the Slytherin, a Hufflepuff would definetly obey the rules. How on earth did they acquire a bludger anyway he didn't even know how to cancel the spell on the Ravenclaw practice chest.

Sapph watched, a touch impressed, as the girl expertly evaded and then stopped her ball. That irritated her a bit, but not enough for her to start a fight over. The girl came flying over, and before Sapph could respond a boy flew over as well, him holding her bludger.

"Oh relax you two, it's just one of them toys. Hold on," Sapph squinted at each of them in turn. "I know you two..." Sapph cocked her head to the side, thinking, before snapping her fingers as her eyes lit up. "That's it! Lauryn Woodlock and Jacob Finley, yeah?"

She grinned widely, leaning forward a bit on her broom. "Sapphire Michaels. I've heard lots about you two."
