Reia had her home to herself tonight which for some might mean that a party would be thrown but she did not care for this. Instead she just went into her bedroom and changed into something much more comfortable than her school uniform and picked up her phone to call her friends to catch up. Being at a wizarding school and having muggle friends was never easy but these times were what she could use to talk to them. However, just as she got into the middle of a discussion with her best friend, she heard the door bell ring. She rolled her eyes and said in rushed Spanish that she would call her back quickly so after hanging up the phone she did not make use of the stairs, instead she apparated to the front foyer with a crack because she was so pleased with the ability to use magic at any time now.

Although Reia knew that with her dark hair in braids and dressed in her pajamas she did not look flattering at all, she did not care. This was her night away from school and she was going to dress the way she wanted. So she opened the door to her home after unlocking it to see a tall boy that she had never met before. "Hola," she said, looking at the young man that was probably around her age and was rather handsome. She wished that he did not catch her like this but she could do nothing about it now. "¿Puedo ayudarle en algo?" This was when she took her gaze from his and noticed that he had a trunk in his hands and she instantly knew that he must have had the wrong address because her parents would have told her if someone was coming to visit. Or she thought they would anyway. This was when she saw that the detailing on the trunk was one that belonged to a magical academy so she looked back up at the stranger before opening the door so he could come in because even if she knew that no one in this community other than her family knew about magic, it still made her very anxious. "¿Qué estás haciendo aquí con un tronco que tiene pruebas de la magia en él? ¿No sabes que esta es una comunidad muggle?" Reia Vasquez did not even know if this person spoke her mother tongue but if he was in outside of her door in Spain she could instantly assume that he did, it just made sense. However, she did speak several other languages, including English and French so if he did not speak her mother tongue they could still communicate so she could figure out just why he was addressing her at this time.

lamelamelamelamelame. sorry. also... i just google translated. hope you don't mind.

It was the beginning of something new, an adventure, the opportunity of a lifetime. But whichever way you wanted to look at it, Noah knew that all of the statements made by his teachers and family were just another way of sugar coating the fact that they were getting rid of him, and for a whole year. Having studied at Hogwarts Wizarding Academy all of his previous six magical schooling years, this was quite a change for the eighteen year old boty. For whatever reasons he had pushed onto a plane, set for somewhere in Spain, with only his trunk an introdcutory letter and a Spanish dictionary. Luckily once Noah got off of the plane he had managed to find an English speaking cab driver and overpaid him after being dropped off, out of a misunderstanding with the two currencies. You see, Noah hadn't exactly been the brightest boy back in America, the Nashville native had hardly stepped out of his hometown, only ever for his trip to Hogwarts and back, so naturally this sudden exchange to Spain had him in a rather difficult situation.

It had taken his mother quite a bit of pursuading to get him out of Amercia, and the only real thing intruiging him was that he was promised that the family he was to stay with for the year had a beautiful young daughter, daughters really, but the one in question was to be the same age as him by the time he arrived. And arrive he did, the small country boy outside of the lavishness of the house he had been taken to, the house which he was told would be his home for the next year, his last year at school. Pressing his finger on the door bell and shifting the weight of his trunk, Noah waited. Soon after the door was answered by a pretty young thing that seemed to be speaking to him in her country's mothertongue, reaching into his pocket, Noah raised his eyebrows and hastily flicked through his Spanish dictionary, trying to translate at least a few of the words that came spilling out of her lips. But it was no use, so standing with his mouth wide open out of confusion and irritance "No me gusta?" he said questioningly, it truly was the only phrase he knew in Spanish and just hoped like hell that it wasn't something offensive. "I'm Noah." he said, a sheepish smile spreading across his face as he held out his hand for the rather beautiful young woman to shake, she truly was entrancing, even in what appeared to be her pajamas, Noah couldn't seem to look away from her.

Reia could have laughed as the stranger tried to go along with what she was saying in quick Spanish and responded as ‘I do not like’. She nodded her head, it was true, she did not like that he could have revealed her families secret to the muggles but she severely doubted that he understood what he had just said so she spoke in English with her thick Spanish accent, “Hello. I’m Reia.” The way that she had spoken these simple words were as if she was repeating them from a tape to teach you how to speak the language; she was not confident in herself and it was slow but it had been spoken. It was a little bit more than what Noah could say. However, his confusion seemed almost endearing so she accepted the offer of a hand shake and took his with her slender hand and shook it delicately. It was very opposite to the way she had spoken to him originally but she thought that perhaps this person who was a stranger to the language and most likely the community deserved just this. “Can I help you?” she asked, with an arched brow, still curious as to why he was outside of her home at this time. Reia wondered it before if they had met before of if he was looking for one of her sisters or her parents. The latter option seemed to be most feasible but she did not speak this and just waited for him to tell her why he was hear, hoping he would not be cryptic because often times she did not understand this when it was in English.

As the eighteen year old looked at Noah, she wondered what a student of Hogwarts Wizarding Academy was doing in Spain. She knew that some people lived far away from their schools but to be here when it was not a vacation truly confused her. Reia looked from the symbol on his trunk back to his face into his dark orbs and just as she opened her mouth to say something more, it hit her. She had heard that there would be exchange students coming in from Hogwarts Wizarding Academy and Salem. Reia had not payed attention to it so when she brought the volunteer sheet to be a host family on the kitchen counter she had forgotten about it. But here Noah was, looking down into her eyes as she looked into his own. The exchange program was one that she had wanted to be a part of but thought that because it was her final year of school it would do her good to stay in her own country, even if the thought of travelling appealed to her, just like the thought of getting the name Reia Vasquez out there, was. She knew that one day she would be an international celebrity for her voice but first a local fan base would probably work the best because she could form a name for herself. However, the small brunette was having a hard time doing this because she was not liked by many of the students in her school.

The way the beautiful girl standing before him pronounced her name with a thick Spanish accent made Noah's stomach turn a little, knowing full well that he wouldn't ever be able to pronounce it so beautifully. He didn't have a hick accent like many of the children he had grown up around, but he had never been the best at pronouncing words, especially names come to think of it. And feeling her warm and slender hand in his made his eyes widen ever so slightly, he had never seen somebody so beautiful before, noting the exotic color in her skin, something you never saw in his part of America. Perhaps, he began to think, this trip wouldn't be so bad afterall, just so long as this young woman was going to be sticking with him for the duration. And after staring for just a little too long about the girl in pajamas before him, Noah blinked back into reality at the question he was asked. "Oh, I, I'm your exchange student, I guess that's what you call it?" he said, questioning himself as his hand reached to scratch the back of his head almost quizzicaly. "From Hogwarts Wizarding Academy" he added in an almost hushed tone, he had no idea whether this neighbourhood was muggle or not and he didn't want to get himself in trouble in a foreign country.

Every little bit of what was surrounding him seemed to confuse Noah Wilkonson. As his eyes darted around, fixing on the detailing of the grand home he had been sent to, it only made him sicker for his own home, and he hadn't even been in Spain one full day yet. His brown eyes widened, the young woman's home sure was nice, much nicer than the home he had back in America, a modest one, but his mother did well to make it look so inviting. These grand surroundings had somehow managed to reduce the usually confident eighteen year old boy to a frightened and anxious one, only staying placid due to the smile on his host sister's face, that seemed to calm him just a little. Back home he would have been back at HWA by now, along with his brothers and his youngest sister, but Noah had to remind himself that this was an adventure, and he just had to take it all in his stride, besides, he didn't want to come off as a wimp in front of a beautiful girl, even if there was no chance he could be with her because she was his host sister. "Can I come in?" he asked, rocking back on his heels and again shifting the weight of his trunk to the other hand, he felt a little vulnerable standing outside on the doorstep and was itching to find out what his new home looked like on the inside.

Reia Vasquez chewed down on her bottom lip as she waited for Noah to answer her but he was just starring at her and it was beginning to make her feel uncomfortable. She wondered what was going on in his mind as he looked at her and wondered if he was disappointed to have her and her family as a host one. However, she was not disappointed in having him, he was rather handsome and as he confirmed her assumptions, she nodded her head understandingly. “Muggles,” she said in a quiet voice as her tongue rolling around the word that seemed foreign in her mouth despite being one she said often, more often than what she said next: “Yes. Do you need help with your things?” Reia glanced around him to see if he had more with him but looking at his trunk she arched a brow to see that this was all he had. He must be a minimalist because Reia would have been the exact opposite if she was not so close to her home, she would have packed all the things she owned and even purchased extra so she would not be unprepared because that was one thing she did hate. It was as if she was a boy scout because she had adopted the motto of ‘always be prepared’ and when Reia did something, she did not do it selectively, she went full out with everything she did, with every feeling and emotion. It was possibly the only thing she had adopted from her father, aside from his surname, because he had always instilled on her and her siblings that if they do anything, they were to do it at one hundred percent so they could be the best at what they were doing. She had found that often times it annoyed people but this was how she lived her life.

Another way Reia and the rest of the Vasquez children lived their lives was in an extravagant home that she was now moving out of the way of the door frame so Noah could enter and she could follow behind him. She could lead him through the pillars that made a slight distinction of the door area and the foyer that already gave hints to how he would be living when he was at the Vasquez home. Reia never thought much of it but now as she knew it was going to be judged she did hope that her home could feel this way for Noah as he stayed with her and her family for the rest of the year. However, being at one’s home was kind of a special thing, normally you had to be at school but it was a good thing that Reia had been able to be home otherwise poor Noah would have been waiting outside for however long it took for her parents to return home. As they were both in her home, Reia closed the door behind her and followed Noah to the foyer so she could suggest whether or not she gave him a tour or showed him to his room and do the tour later. Reia thought it might be a good idea to drop his things off and allow him to get comfortable as she changed into clothes that she would not be embarrassed to present herself in like she was feeling in her pajamas and school-girl plaits.

Noah's eyebrows raised awkwardly, a bad habit he had picked up that he flaunted when he didn't know what else to do. He was a cluless kind of boy, and to be quite honest he wondered why he had been chosen to go on this exchange, he wasn't particularly smart or a good representation of the school. Perhaps his family really had just wanted rid of him. Whatever the cause or reason for his trip to Spain, he wanted to make the most of the year he had ahead of him, and he hoped the new school he would be attending would be good, English speaking, and with the beautiful girl that stood before him, she had been the only mood lifter since arriving in the foreign country. When she whispered that 'm' word Noah simply gave a knowing nod, obviously he had stumbled right into a muggle neighbourhood, which would be yet another new experience for him. Realising he had been stood for yet another minute admiring the exotic colouring in Reia's cheeks, Noah blushed and quickly blubbered a reply to her question, thank goodness she could speak English. "Ah, no, I mean, I'll be fine with it." he said, mainly to save his manly reputation, he didn't want anyone to see his bags being carried by a small girl, foreign or not. Reia seemed to be slightly surprised that he only had one bag, to be completely honest Noah would have only packed a few things had it not been for the help he had from his mother who had laid out all of his shirts, pajamas and even underwear.

You could say he was a minimalist, something he doubted that the Vasquez girl was, considering what the house he had just stepped into looked like. Self consciously Noah slipped off his dirtied boots and left them outside of the door, pleased he was wearing his best pair of socks, and one of the only pairs without holes at the toes. He looked up admiring the surroundings, he truly had never seen a home like the one he was standing in, he had only glanced at one over his mother's shoulder as she read a home and garden magazine, something he wasn't particularly interested in, but boy would his family be when he wrote and told them of the palace he was going to be living in for the next year. Looking at the curving stairway he wondered where his room was, or whether he would have to share, to be quite honest he didn't mind either way. But remembering he was a guest in her home, Noah Wilkonson smiled at Reia. "You have a beautiful home." he commented, almost as though it was being read from a que card, which it would have been if his mother had her way. "Where do I-well, sleep?" he asked nervously, waiting to be shown the way around the expansive home that was blowing his mind every corner he looked. Perhaps he could settle in and change into something a little more casual, he would hate to make the pajama clad company feel out of place.

Reia smiled appreciatively to Noah, just as her mother would have, at the compliment that he said about her home. She did not care enough to say anymore on the subject but as she looked to the American boy she felt like he must have been overwhelmed with it and she knew that the first time every member of the Vasquez family was here, Noah would wish he would be back home. This house was large but not just to be frugal, it had to be so that there was a possibility of peace and quiet. However, there never really was any but this boy did not know that yet. It was a good thing that they would be returning to the castle the next day for school. "Oh yes," she said as she grabbed her wand that she had kept hidden away as it always was. It was quite the walk to where he would be sleeping so she tapped his bag with her wand and it left his hand with a pop and arrived back in the guest room which she already knew her father would insist he would stay in. In the Vasquez house there were several and all were cleaned daily like all the other rooms, so that was not an issue. The issue was that this was a family of mostly girls with an extremely protective father who would not want a boy that the family hardly knew sleeping anywhere near his daughter's bedrooms. "It is a bit of a walk," Reia explained with a smile to the foreign boy as she tucked her wand away and began to lead him up the staircase.

Noah should be counting his lucky stars that it was not Rafael, Sarima or her father who had opened the door to him. None of them would have been very polite, granted neither had she initially but for good reason. The secret of the wizarding world was one that needed to be kept and he had been flaunting it throughout a muggle community. Reia would not tell him of this yet, he did not to have this warning until more of her family would come back during vacation but as she walked with Noah towards his room she turned his head and said, "I should warn you... my father might threaten you when you first meet him. He is extremely protective over me and my sisters so just don't make any jokes, pretend like you are terrified and everything will be fine." Reia wasn't sure that it would be pretending, it never was but she thought that she would raise his confidence a little bit by making him think that Juan Vasquez was not that scary. "And don't use magic around him. He hates it," she offered with a nervous grin, hoping that her family didn't seem too bad to him and that he thought he might be able to stick around for the year because she knew it would be interesting to spend time with him. Noah certainly was handsome and she wanted to know more about him.
