The fact that Hades Lutrov the Second was roaming the dungeons, it was not unusual but his purpose down here was actually, unusual. He was actually seeking out someone, and that someone was none other than Zayne Baros. He was a Slytherin, so he would have to show up eventually. There was not a lot of places that Zayne would hang around, but he hoped that the boy would not be around his sister right now. Which was why he was seeking him out to begin with. He was going to teach him a lesson for turning his sister into someone different. To him, his sister had somehow become someone that was now more or less someone that is kinder and could not handle herself that well anymore. She had changed, and he was not pleased with this outcome. Thus he was going to confront the Slytherin. Normally if a Hufflepuff was going to confront a Slytherin, then it would be short and the Slytherin would turn out to be the victor. However in his case, it was not going to be that way. Hades was not a typically Hufflepuff. He was loyal and hard-working, but he twisted that, since he decided on which side to take. Looking over to the side, he could hear someone coming along, and he narrowed his eyes and right on time, it was none other than Zayne Baros. He looked at the boy and could see that he was growing taller, and he was gaining some muscle. Hades was dating the sister of Zayne, but he did not want his own sister, albeit adopted sister but regardless, going to someone so light. It would not be good for the family, and he was going to take matters into his own hands. "Zayne Baros, I need to speak with you." And as soon as he had the attention of the Slytherin Prefect, Hades made sure to block him from going any further. "Your influence on Kaia is becoming a nuisance, and you need to cut it out." He could go on to say how he was a failure to the pure-bloods but he did not. For now anyway.

Zayne Baros had something really special for Kaia today. She was going to meet him in the Entrance Hall where they would go out to the lawn and he was going to propose to her. They had their feelings out in the open, why he wanted to skip the relationship part was beyond any sort of comprehension that anyone else would try to get, but to Zayne it made perfect sense. Of course how he got the money to get the ring was hilarious. Zayne asked if he could get something for Kaia online, and his dad handed him the credit card. Boy his dad would be really surprised when he saw the statement! But he was going to do it, and hopefully Kaia would say yes. He was banking on her to. Well, with the ring he had managed to get, who could say no? Zayne held it in his hand before he stuck it down in his pocket. Smiling, he decided to go on and do what he needed to do. He looked good, he smelled really great, he thought that everything was in perfect order. He even told Kaia that she needed to look good too. She would probably want to look great when she was going to be proposed to. What girl never dreamed of that happening? She would probably never even see it happening either, not until he had already proposed or gotten down on one knee. Something of the sort anyway. Zayne made his way out of the Slytherin Common room and through the long halls of the dungeons. However he was stopped by Hades Lutrov the Second. He thought that the Hufflepuff prefect liked him even just a little bit after he stopped avoiding Kaia, but the tone in his voice made shivers go up his spine. The tone did not sound happy at all, and wondered if he did something. As soon as Hades got in his way, and heard what he was saying, he raised an eyebrow. He could not see what Hades was saying, so Zayne shrugged, "I don't know what you are talking about, Hades. I know you care about your adopted sister, but let's get something clear. We like each other. You are dating my sister. Whatever, just butt out. She isn't even your blood."

What Zayne clearly said was the wrong thing. Kaia was not his blood. He knew that all right, but blood was not what made someone family. That was something he was going to teach Zayne, and he was not going to have some softy ruin someone that could be potentially dangerous to the filthy mudbloods out there. His own step-mother was one, so there was no telling what damage the boy had received while he was under the influence of that trashy woman, tainting the bloodline. Well, he did not have any other siblings besides the older sisters, so that was a good thing. Yet the damage was still there. Hades could hear someone coming, and he decided that it would be best to take it into his own hands. Besides the person coming was not a professor but another student. He could hear the footsteps and how heavy they were. They sounded like they belonged to a female. So he was not worried. Instead, angered by the Slytherin Prefect, he swiftly grabbed him by the collar of his shirt, and slammed him against the wall. He pulled out his wand and he placed it toward the neck of the snake. He hissed, "I have a purpose here, Baros. You were raised by a mudblood. Whether you like it or not, you were influenced one way or another." Hades paused for a moment, and he stared harshly into those grey eyes. "You would not last ten seconds at our house. My father would gladly kill you if he found one little reason to. I am doing this to keep her from getting as hurt, which is far too late for her to come out without some sort of sadness. And you should not bring Mylie into this." Zayne had clearly overstepped his bounds, and Hades put his wand away. Instead with one of his arms, he shoved Zayne to the side, making sure he was on the ground. "You have not even made a serious commitment with her, so what makes you think that you are so worthy of her?"

Kaia rubbed her temples and lifted her head to glance about the Great Hall quickly. Lunch was just finishing up so a lot of students were beginning to leave. Kaia knew she would need to leave soon too if she wanted to meet up with Zayne in time. Kaia had finished her small lunch and the assignment that was due later on in the week, so she figured it would be okay if she had some fun for the remainder of the day. Surprisingly, Zayne was the one who had made the plans for them to hang out. Usually Kaia met up with him and bossed him around on what they were going to be doing that day. Not that Zayne was easy to push around, he just seemed like he didn’t want to argue with her when it came to Kaia getting her way. Or he could even like all the ideas she had. The first seemed more likely than the second one though. Kaia threw her books into the bag she had and stepped away from the Ravenclaw table. Thoughts about Zayne were dancing through her head the entire time she spent leaving the Great Hall and headed back to her common room to put her things away. Zayne and Kaia had kissed a couple of times since that one day. Usually it was only when no one else was around though. As best friends, both of them were unsure if the whole public display of affection thing was going to be accepted by everyone else. Calling themselves a couple sounded too weird too. Maybe today they would finally decide what to do with themselves before they ended up doing something really weird and got caught by someone else. Kaia hoped that wouldn’t be the case, especially if the person catching them wound up being Hades. He already disliked Zayne quite a bit.

Kaia heard Zayne’s voice up ahead and quickened her pace. Who was he talking to? When she rounded the corner and saw her brother shove Zayne to the side and onto the ground. What on earth was he doing? Did he not fear for her best friend’s safety at all? "Hades!" Kaia yelled at as she sprinted over to the scene. Why were they fighting with one another? When Kaia reached the two of them, she narrowed her purple eyes at her brother. "What is the matter with you? How do you think Mylie would feel about you shoving her little brother around?” Kaia was now asking Hades to think of the person Zayne was related to. Did he want to risk upsetting his girlfriend just because he seemed to dislike Zayne. Plus there was also the small fact that Kaia had hoped that they would get along. If Hades couldn’t even tolerate just them being friends, imagine how upset he would be if he knew that they had kissed a couple of times too. Kaia leaned down to help Zayne up. A part of her feared that he would get upset over this and cancel their plans for the day. "I’m sorry! I’ve been hoping you two would just get along, but I guess that isn’t going to happen like I wanted it to. You still up for hanging out today?" Kaia questioned Zayne. Why was her brother acting like he was? Did he worry that she was going to forget all about him or something? That wasn’t the case at all. He would always be her brother. He needed to realize that she could date too. Not just him.

Being tossed around like a rag doll was not what Zayne wanted to do today. After being slammed against the wall and tossed to the ground, repeatedly with his harsh words attacking him as well. Yes, he was raised by a muggle-born, but he didn't know what in the world he was talking about with Zayne influencing Kaia? He looked at him like he had grown another head, and then was told not to bring Mylie into this. He wiped his mouth with the back of his hand but didn't say anything. And then was reminded how he had not made a serious commitment, and what made him so worthy of her. Zayne was going to out on the lawn in a romantic manner, but his plans had changed after that. Zayne shook his head and he looked at Hades before he muttered, "Mylie would hate this, but I don't like him dating her." He was groaned. He was just annoyed by this point, but Kaia had come down to save the day. He didn't know what in the world was into Hades, and what was his deal. He didn't do anything wrong in his mind anyway. Zayne saw that Kaia was leaning down to help him up, but he didn't take her help. Instead, Zayne gave Hades a smirk before he said, "I was planning on asking you this in a more likable place today, but Hades is wanting me to make a serious commitment. So here it is." He reached into the pocket and pulled out the box that contained the ring. He opened it and he held it out while grinning, "My best friend, the one that makes my heart flutter, will you marry me?" He did not mean for them to get married tomorrow, but he wouldn't mind it. Skipping the whole relationship thing seemed like a good idea. After all, they kissed several times already, and he thought that this is a good idea. Zayne hoped that Kaia would say yes. He knew that his dad did something similar, proposing while still in school, but he was not going to get Kaia pregnant until they tied the knot.

Hades was enjoying this. Zayne was not even fighting back but then he heard someone yell his name. He turned his head to see that it was Kaia coming to the Slytherin's rescue. When she demanded to know what the matter with him was, then asked how would Mylie feel if she knew about him shoving her little brother around. Hades did wonder what she would feel. She didn't mention him too much, so Hades didn't think that she would be that bothered. But if she was, he would mention a few choice words and have her forget and blushing. Truth be told, he did not know what she would do, and then wondered if he should just continue to seethe. Kaia just did not see the damage that Zayne was doing to her. Hades snorted when she said that she had been hoping that the two of them would just get along. He didn't want to actually speak because of the damage he had already done. After all, he didn't want to lose Mylie and his adoptive sister over Zayne's ass. He wasn't worth that. He did hear Zayne's little muttering about how he didn't like Hades dating Mylie. Well, there was nothing he could do about it. Hades liked Mylie. His onyx eyes narrowed when he caught Zayne giving him a smirk, and then talking to Kaia. He folded his arms across his chest and listened. Zayne mentioned how he wanted him to make a serious commitment and his eyebrow raised. What in the hell was he doing? And then Zayne proposed. Hades almost burst into laughter, but he merely smirked in delight. Kaia was going to say no to him. They were not even seeing each other so why would he even think to know that Kaia was going to say yes? Hades leaned against the wall and he awaited for his sister to fess and say no to Zayne, breaking his heart and shattering him. That was what he was dying to see. After all, Kaia needed to be with a dark wizard, not someone like Zayne. Though if Zayne was darker, and acted like a gentleman still, he would approve.

Kaia was surprised to hear that Zayne didn't like Hades II dating his older sister. Hades was pretty good to her so Kaia thought he would be happy that his sister had found someone who cares for her. "Is that what you two were fighting about over there? Look I know Hades can be a bit....well anyways, he's a really good guy! He also really likes your sister." Kaia wasn't Mylie's biggest fan in the world, but she did want to keep Hades happy. He really did seem to like her and she seemed to like him. So Kaia would sit back and be quiet for their sake. All she wanted was for her brother and Zayne to get along for more than five minutes, but they seemed to disregard what she wanted at all. It must have been a male thing because Kaia didn't see any reason for them to dislike each other. Hades stated it was because Zayne made her soft, but Kaia knew eight off hand that Hades was the same way when it came to him being with Mylie. Kaia may not have been a fan of Mylie, but if it meant a lot to Hades to have her around, Kaia would suck it up and learn to deal with it. Kaia was in the midst of leaning down to help Zayne up when she saw him smirk at Hades. Now what in the world was he up to? Kaia was starting to wonder if she shouldn't just leave these two to battle out their problems on their own. Kaia was really curious about what Zayne was going to ask her if he wanted it to be a special place. Kaia already felt a fleet of butterflies battling it out within her stomach. She always got so nervous when Zayne said things like that.

Apparently Hades wanted him to make a serious commitment. Kaia turned her head to give Hades an odd look. For the past couple of years, or maybe it was only a year, because Kaia couldn't keep track of her time anymore. But for the past year or so, Kaia and Zayne had been as close to a couple as two people could get without actually putting on labels. What more did Hades want from him? Was Zayne going to ask Kaia to be his girlfriend? But what happened next made Kaia's breath hitch within her throat. Zayne wanted to skip the dating phase completely and get married. Kaia liked Zayne a lot, but was getting married really a smart idea. Then again, all it contained was some little piece of paper that said they were married or something right? Kaia bit her lip. Why did she want to say yes? This was strange, and she knew it because girls usually didn't get married at her age. But Kaia wanted to say yes because she really liked Zayne and her heart was telling her to say yes. They would have time to decide if this was for real or not before they actually got married so; "Yeah." Kaia nodded, agreeing to the fact that she might have been young and stupid and careless about this, but she would marry him. Hopefully her dad wouldn't kill her for saying yes too. After all, he was going to have to find out eventually. It would be kind of hard not to notice a ring as big as that.

Zayne shook his head when she asked if that was what they were fighting about. "No, he just jumped on me for hanging around you too much. Mylie was just... I don't know, I am just concerned." He had seen how Hades treated her, and it was a good thing, but he just did not trust Hades that much either. Why would he? The guy was obviously a freak. Well, he kind of was too. Zayne's family was broken in half, he thought that he was some disgusting person for being a pure-blood and in Slytherin to boot. He thought that he was one of the worst people out there, and then Zayne was shown the light by Kaia, and assisted by Hades. It was just recently that the Hufflepuff started to show some mutiny toward him for some reason. Maybe it was when he and Kaia started to show some romantic interest toward each other. He would have to get over that though. He did not want to become the overprotective big brother toward him either with Mylie. Well, younger brother in Zayne's case. He did wait on Kaia's answer on whether or not they should get married. He thought that they should. Zayne could very much say that he was in love with his best friend, and he wanted to keep her around forever. Plus with Hades being here to witness, it would be funny too. Then Kaia said the magic word, and said yes. Zayne beamed and he slipped the engagement ring upon her slender finger before he stood up and embraced her tightly. "You have made me the happiest prefect in the world, Kaia." They could wait for a while before sealing the deal, but for now, they could live in the moment. It was the first time that they had a label on their relationship now, and he could not be happier with this revelation.

Hades' smirk remained on his lips, until Kaia said that one word, the one with four letters that would really make him irritated as hell. She said yes. Or a variant of yes. He could not believe this. This was going all wrong. Kaia should not have said yes. She should have said no. She should have told him to take a hike. But not this. Hades rolled his onyx eyes angrily, and he shook his head. He was just shocked. Kaia was definitely not the sister he knew anymore. Then again, she was in love with Zayne or something. She cared for him like he cared for Mylie. Sighing, he knew that he wouldn't be okay with it for some time, but he would leave them alone. He walked out of the dungeons to go find something in order to relieve some of his anger. Hopefully no first years would cross his path.
