Tag, you're it!

Just taking a look at her past was all what Victoria could do, as of now. The previous events that required parties that lasted until midnight was all that she needed to go back into. It was quite rare though because the parties that were held in the manor were all only formalities and such leaving them to stay awake for only up to eight o'clock. There was an exception though whenever it came to occasions that were celebrated because of someone's marriage or a new member of the family came to life. Based on Benjamin's story, he needed to stay up until eleven thirty PM just to politely greet his relatives. He was four or three years old that time and so his energy was not totally controlled yet. "I ask daddy to carry me when I'm tired." Replied the young Pure Blood witch to the Half Blood. Victoria adored the mild perfume of Arthur, her father. Arthur was a man of business, yes, but he never failed to bring Victoria around at sometime. He was stern though and he showed his love to his family only in the manor, when only Victoria's family were the only eyes around him. Though his kisses and hugs were indeed rare for Victoria to experience, it was rather more difficult for Benjamin. Benjamin was a boy of independence and so her father left him to do things alone for him to learn. Victoria usually pitied him but she always kept it to herself. "Really? What does he shout? You should cover your ears." Victoria's lips curled into a huge grin that was worth the while. It was just a vague joke though but if Tommy did not agree with her then that definitely did not matter. Victoria's humour was quite dry but never did she care about it. And so what if other people did not appreciate her once in a while jokes? "What a bother, Victoria," Victoria recalled as her brother would say that to her every time she would say those kinds of strange encounters about magic. The same thought entered as she looked at Tommy again with the adorable teddy bear set aside. They were once her favorites when she was three up to five years old. Now, all she favored were books and fashion. "Just don't snore loudly!" Victoria exclaimed as a small giggle protruded from her small lips. It was a joke of course, something that he should think about and should not be taken seriously.

Victoria's house was not any old house that people resided in. It was something large. The idea of the Chase Manor was a little confusing since telling people that she lived in the woods located just near the Manhattan Beach confused them. A manor, in that kind of area? It was not likely enough for its high standards. Victoria ever admitted to anyone though about that secret. The little girl did not even know why her the place that she was living in was rare among the people that she knew! "Yeah. My room is liked filled with books and pillows," Victoria said as she made a quick brain scan about the area of her room. But she missed something that she loved to experiment with, therefore, adding it to her incomplete sentence. "And clothes." The little girl sat there, sighing softly as the isolated area around them was full of non living things but kept her company that entertained her. Tommy was with her and at least he was older to guard her. Isabela Chase would have probably freaked out if Victoria was alone among all these stuffed toys. Having at least a company of a young age would be able to come Victoria's mother. The young witch nodded as if to say that it was her that was on the unfortunate ride just to wait. Proceeding on, she replied to Tommy's latest thought and uttered a sound of humour. "The Ministry people are weirdos then." Victoria said, not setting her statement as an indirect insult to the Ministry of Magic. They were doing their job, yes. But the seven year old cannot understand why the hell do they make children eleven years old and above posses a wand already.

Austiin Hayes had decided that a holiday would be wonderful, time to get away from everyone he knew, and so America was the place to go. He didn't know many people here, considering he grew up in this area, it was quite shocking. But then again, he did go to France at eleven and stayed there until he was twenty, and then to moved to New Zealand after that, so he had neglected to visit here for nearly ten years, not that he cared. All the people he left here were childhood friends or enemies, and his parents, and he wasn't a fan of them so there was no tears of heartfilled letters to anyone with a postcode that resided here. But if there was one thing he liked about this place, it was that there was a lot of really nice clothes, and the shops were always so colourful and peaceful, but the fact that you had to be very careful about where you used magic was annoying, silly Americans, being all super worried about magic, he couldn't belief the low magic rate in this country, it was almost sickening. How could the magical people of this land not use their magic daily? He found it impossible to not use his magic, that was also another reason as to why he never came back, he liked his magic and used it regularly, as in everyday, unless he went to America, then he would restrict himself, by a small margin. But he didn't have to worry about that right now, for he and his son, Tommy Hayes, were shopping, in a magical part of town, Austiin wouldn't shop anywhere else. He looked at the shelves and racks of clothes, he was currently near the mens section when he looked down at his son, who was not behind him. He frowned and circled on the spot. No Tommy to be seen.

Austiin tapped his chin, trying to think of where Tommy would go, he had never been here before, and he didn't like unknown places, but he was known for running off on Austiin, just to make him squirm. He sighed and began searching, he looked through the mens section, nothing. He frowned and continued to look around, he nearly ran into a little girl that seemed to be running around several times, she was a cute kid, seemed to like pink a lot. But he wasn't looking for a little girl dressed in pink, he was looking for his son, who seemed to have apparated out of the building. He bit his lip and scanned the shops, nothing. Dear Merlin Tommy could hide! He sighed and decided to give up, Tommy would find him when he wanted to, so he decided to look through some more clothes, when he just happened to glance over his shoulder, he saw Tommy, apparently trying to climb into a giant stuffed toy bin, he smiled and shook his head. Kiddies these days. He circled the store, he was going to leave soon. He had the things he wanted, he found his son and he was going to pay for everything. He reached the counter and handed over the galleons and knuts he owed, and then made his way back to where he last saw Tommy. He smiled slightly when he saw the little girl he had been seeing running, he didn't want to have to break them up, it was so cute, he was so happy that Tommy was making friends, even if he would never see them again, it was good that he was learning to talk to other children, considering at his muggle school all he did was sulk. Austiin didn't like sending him there, but Abby insisted that Tommy go there so he can have a 'normal' childhood.

Austiin walked up to the two small children and smiled warmly, but then focused his attention on Tommy. "Tommy, we need to go now." He said, picking the small boy up, he then looked down at the little girl, he wasn't sure what he was going to say to her, she was younger than Tommy, he could tell that much, which meant that he was possibly twenty years older than her, that made him feel really old. "Hey there, what's your name?" He asked, he didn't want to leave the little girl all by herself, so he deicded to swap names and then leave when her parents showed up, the store was closing soon, so they would probably be looking for her. "I'm Austiin."

It seemed that Tommy was interested in the toys too even though he was much older than the young girl. It was mostly stuffed toys that were surrounding them and some cute pillows. Victoria carefully sunk her body to a nearby pillow and giggled softly as Tommy was trying to do something hilarious. She loved playing these kinds of games with people who she knew personally. Her friend was a lot different though. They knew each other for probably an hour of playing hide and seek and she enjoyed it as much as she did not expect it to be. Victoria looked at the bean bag that was set nearby, coloured orange and had some design that she disliked. Having her back on the pillow was already great for her. It relaxed her after the long search of her friend. Her body was physically present yet her mind wasn't. Her thoughts subconsciously wondered whether she would meet Tommy again, hoping that they would still have their friendship going on. She did not know the other school that her father planned to send her in, knowing that she would start loving it there anyways. The castle of Durmstrang was notorious for releasing the darkest witches and wizards of the age. Hogwarts had some of them too but to specify, the house of Salazar Slytherin seemed to be well acquainted with the one who built Durmstrang and planned what kind of things they would be doing in that school. Looking to her right, she saw her mother waving to her sweetly, her long black hair draped over her shoulders as she did it. She was beautiful for Victoria and in return to the wave, Vicky smiled softly. Isabela Chase held out her fingers and signaled to her that she has five minutes before they would leave. Frowning, she nodded and turned away from her brunette mother.

A sound of a male blended in the air, casting the silence to nothingness. Victoria's sea green eyes looked up, curious on who this person was. He was a man but he walked and acted like a woman. It looked like he was homosexual. Victoria's mind told her not to pay any heed to that though. She saw more men who acted like women before this guy. Victoria frowned stubbornly when he picked up Tommy, surprised to see that the man did not find him heavy at all. She stood up and dusted her own self smiling shyly as the person who was probably Tommy's father asked what her name was. "Victoria. But mum calls me Vicky. Are you Tommy's daddy?" Victoria asked shyly, hoping that he wouldn't be outraged or weirded out by her curious behaviour. She was always like that anyways, asking away despite what circumstances it could lead too. She even asked once what were the Dark Arts all about. Up to now, she still has no clue about those things and what can they cause. Arthur Chase, her father, just did not accept and answer her curiousity towards those things. Victoria smiled softly at the the man's name. Victoria looked at Austiin's back and stared, sad to see that her mother was coming for her. She had two shopping bags and Victoria knew that one was a coat whilst the other was a plain dress. "Hello sweetheart," Isabela Chase arrived as she glanced at Victoria. Victoria stood there numbly, biting her lower lip as her green eyes bore into Isabela's. "Shall we go? You look like you had fun." She called out as she scooped the small and petite Victoria Chase to her arms. Victoria rested her head on her mother's shoulder, her face drawn into a tired expression and at the same time, sad. "Oh, hello. I'm Isabela Chase, Vicky's mother. Did you see them having a good time?" Victoria watched as her mother beamed, amused to see that her daugher had fun with a boy that was older than her. Victoria tried to make eye contact with Tommy and when she caught his glance, she smiled softly as if thanking him for the good day and entertainment that they had done.

Tommy frowned when he heard a very familiar voice, and then he saw his father, Austiin, standing over the two of them, telling him that it was time to go. His father easily picked him up, Tommy was not that big, and Austiin, dispite his gentle nature and feminine looks, was far from weak, being a horse animagus surely helped with his strength as Tommy often saw Austiin trotting around the place in the early morning so people wouldn't see a horse running down the street. There had been close calls, but he had yet to be caught by any Muggles, he was too quick for them. In a way, Tommy thought his father was the best father any kid could have, even if sometimes Tommy found him unbareable and annoying and often slipped away from him when shopping, and sure Tommy wasn't a big fan of Cameron, actually, Tommy kind of hates Cameron with a passion and wishes him nothing but pain and suffering, but that wasn't the point, he still loved Austiin deep down, even if he acted like he didn't sometimes. He held onto Austiin carefully, he didn't want to be dropped, though he doubted that Austiin would allow this to happen, it was a possibility, one that he did not want to come true because then his happy mood would be ruined by an injury. He looked at Victoria as Austiin introduced himself to her politely and readied to leave, Tommy was quite sure he wouldn't leave until Victoria's parents came, or in this case, mother, because he would surely feel bad about it, Tommy knew Austiin too well.

He watched Victoria's mother approach them and frowned, now Austiin would take him away and he would probably never see Victoria again, it wasn't fair, he liked Victoria, she was fun. Tommy nodded at Victoria's question. "Yes, this is my dad," he explained, his voice quieter now that he was aroun adults, this normally happened because he didn't like speaking in front of people who were bigger and older than him, especiallly if he didn't know them. Tommy chewed his lip as Mrs Victoria came, he was sure her name wasn't actually Victoria too, but he saw her as a bigger version of Victoria. Tommy looked at Austiin as he allowed Tommy to reply to the woman. But Tommy didn't like talking to strangers, but he knew he had to or Austiin would just stand around forever, waiting for him to speak. "We had fun..." He explained, looking at Austiin, who nodded his appriciation and spoke adult talk to Victoria's mother, Tommy drowned them both out and looked at Victoria, he smiled softly back at her and even waved as his father walked away. He hoped that he would someday meet that nice girl again.

The End
