Closed Sweet Surprises

Ren was excited. He hurried out to the lake, Sam in tow, making his way by the light of the stars. "Come on, Sammy," He laughed, practically skipping as they made their way down to the shore. When they were almost there, he stopped, moving behind Sam and covering her eyes. "Trust me," He grinned, gently leading her down to the lake. When they were close, he flicked his wand wordlessly, lighting the candles he had set around the blanket, flowers and petals scattered about and a picnic basket with all Sam's favorite foods, snacks, and drinks inside, and a few throw pillows on the blanket for support. The night sky reflected perfectly in the lake, the water was studded with stars. He grinned when it was ready, moving his hands from Sam's eyes to her shoulders. "You can look," He murmured softly in her ear, smiling widely.

Samantha was following Ren, her steps moving quickly, as she followed the Gryffindor. She had laughed with confusion, wondering where the heck Ren was taking her after the Yule ball. She had a fun time with him so far and didn't really want the night to end just yet. So she was grateful that he was taking her somewhere, she just didn't really know where. Ren had suddenly stopped and had covered her eyes with his hands, closing her eyes so she wasn't peeping at through the gaps of his fingers. "What is happening?" Samantha questions with a laugh, still really confused with what was going on. When she felt the boy's hands on her shoulder and he told her that she could look, she opened her eyes and gasps quietly. She looked around at the small picnic that was laid out. "This is beautiful. When did you set all this up" Samantha asked, looking at the scenery. Again, she had felt a little bad that she hadn't done anything for her boyfriend. She knew that she was going to have to do something for him.

Ren smiled, enjoying how Sam took pleasure in his surprise. He chuckled, rubbing his thumbs lightly over her shoulders. "That, my dear, is a secret," He teased softly, pressing a kiss to her cheek before moving around in front of her. He offered out his hand, a warm smile on his face. "I figured a moonlit picnic sounded really rather romantic, don't you think?" He offered with a wink.
