Closed Sweet Flowers

Aubrey loved spending time with Salem. Agreeing to meet at the dance was maybe a bit of an odd agreement, but it worked all the same. Aubrey stood inside, leaning against the wall and watching the rose petals fall from the ceiling. It was actually a bit tranquil. She hoped Salem arrived soon, she wanted to cuddle and watch the petals floating down. Aubrey hummed softly, twirling and untwirling the same strand of hair around her finger as she waited for her date.

Salem's brain had been a little floaty today. She was excited to spend the dance with Aubrey, but her mind kept thinking back to what the seer had said over the break. It wasn't like she expected every relationship to last forever, but she didn't like focusing so hard on when this one might end, trying to push it from her mind as she went downstairs to meet up with Aubrey.

"Hey, I got your rose," she said as she reached Aubrey, pausing for a moment before standing slightly on her tiptoes to give Aubrey a kiss on the cheek. It was Valentine's after all. "Ready to go dance and stuff?" She asked, moving to hold the door open for Aubrey, even though it was mostly the way open anyway.

Aubrey smiled brightly as Salem appeared, accepting the kiss eagerly and humming softly. "Hello, beautiful," She reached out for Salems hand to pull the Gryffindor through and into the hall. "I am absolutely ready to dance with you," She giggled, sticking close. "Do you want a drink or do you just want to go right to dancing?" She asked, looking around and trying to decide where to go first.
