Heritage: Sureya is the half-sister to Isabella Ormonde (half Veela) and Andromeda Fiorelli (werewolf) as a result of an affair between the Veela Claudia Matisse-Ormonde and the pureblood Giovanni Fiorelli. She was given up for adoption soon after being born. She was adopted by a wizarding family but even they are not aware of her true nature. Everyone has always loved her dearly, cherished her and wanted to protect her. All believing that this was a necessity, a rite to be given to any child. She attends Hogwarts and there she will discover her half-sister Andromeda and will also later discover her half-sister Isabella.

Interests or Hobbies: fashion more particularly muggle fashion; her mother receives muggle magazines from a friend and the two pour over them together. She loves the glossy pictures, the styles, colours, hair, make-up. She likes to walk and could walk for hours. Her father often takes her hiking through the various forests around New Zealand. Extremely dramatic - loves reading classical muggle books and some classical wizarding books and re-enacting them. Is fascinated by the use of the English language and how it has changed throughout the years.

Dear Journal,

today my letter came and Daddy and Mommy were so excited for me. I couldn't have been happier myself and took to squealing like an idiot while I jumped about the room.
It is all too exciting and I am breathless with anticipation. I want it all to begin already. The waiting for buying my school supplies is as nerving as the wait to travel by the express to that school. I cannot wait to make new friends and even though Sharon will not be attending, we will be keeping in touch. It just breaks my heart that they are moving. If she had stayed we would be starting first year together but now she will be on the otherside of the world in the other Hogwarts and I will be here. That is the only fly in the ointment. Mommy is calling me, the new magazines have obviously arrived.

wow ... uhm alright then ... questions ... will try to answer these as best I can:

1a. What does Sureya think of her name?
She loves it though she hasn't a clue what it means. Her father joked once that her mother being a coffee addict named her after a coffee bean but simply changed the spelling, Sureya refuses to believe this is possible though.

1b. Does she have any nicknames, if so what are they? Does she like them?
Sharon has often called her Eya and any boys growing up would fawn over her and would simply shorten her name to 'Sure' so that if she asked them or told them anything, they would always reply ..."sure"

2. At what age was Sureya adopted? If before she could remember what age did she discover she was adopted and how did she react?
As a baby but Chloe and Harvey was always upfront about it with her and told her as soon as she could say her own name. She didn't fully comprehend it's meaning until she was about 8 yrs old though.

3. What does Sureya dress like? In mostly wizarding clothes or muggles?
She tends to dress in wizarding clothing but loves anything to do with muggle fashion. Her mother has promised her that when she passes her OWLs they will both go to a muggle store and buy some things.

4. What are Sureya's negative traits?
She is pretty gullible but she has grown up with two people who love her completely and have never ever lied to her. They have set a high standard for anyone to follow, so it came as a great disappointment to her when she discovered that others she cared about would tell her lies or make up stories to simply impress her.

5. Any particularly awful habits?
She can fall asleep anywhere. It probably doesn't sound bizarre or awful at all but if she doesn't get at least 8 hours of sleep in a night then literally at any time throughout the following day, she could drop off for a cat-nap anywhere. She has fallen asleep into her dinner, on the toilet bowl, in the bathtub, playing a game of wizarding chess... literally anywhere.

6. Juicy secrets?
She has none ... she's pretty much an open book. She has never lied to her parents and is always honest with them about all aspects of her life. Whether it's going to meet her friend or if it's some one pestering her.

7. What are Chloe and Harvey like?
They are a lovely couple. They met while attending Hogwarts in Scotland and fell madly in love while in fourth year but they didn't really begin dating until after their OWLs. Feeling they were much too young. When they graduated they persued their respective careers and got married when they were 20 yrs old. A few years later after trying for a baby and not succeeding, they discovered that they could not have one by natural means. They continued on with their careers for some time until eventually the need to have children was too strong, they had so much love that they wanted to share. So they decided to adopt and eventually into their lives came Sureya. They were never happier but because of her veela-ness they were more besotted by her than perhaps normal parents are with their own babies and they decided not to adopt any more.

9. Was Harry aware of Claudia's infidelity?
Very much so... he always knew he was never enough for her. She is a very beautiful woman and the fact that she is a pure Veela meant she attracted men even women no matter where she went. At first it broke his heart that she got so much attention but he learned to live with it over the years and then eventually the attention took a different route and when he found out, he seperated from her. She left behind Isabella who was starting school in Hogwarts Scotland and went to New Zealand. Giovanni was supposed to leave his family too and go live with her but he was more cautious. Especially as Andromeda was becoming upset by her parents quarreling. He moved the entire family to New Zealand under the guise of a fresh start for them and to please his daughter, went on a 'pity date' as he saw it with Maeve his wife. He had every intention of leaving her and was planning on telling her that very night but disaster struck the Leaky Cauldron, a fire broke out and in the chaos he was killed. Maeve stayed on in New Zealand living with an old friend while Andromeda attended Hogwarts. Claudia had to learn of Giovanni's death by reading about it in the Daily Prophet. She returned to her husband and begged him to take her back, which of course he did.

10. What do Sureya's cats look like? Their personalities?
They are the cutest balls of fluff imaginable. WHISKERS loves clawing at anything that dangles and EYRES brushes himself up against everything with the side of his head, as if he is listening to everything he passes. They are both very playful and love being cuddled.

11. Does she want to get an owl or any other animal for Hogwarts?
She doesn't think she'll be left bring both kittens with her to magic school so might decide to get herself another pet, she's still not 100% sure yet though.

12. Whereabouts in New Zealand does Sureya live? (Feel free to make up a town/city for the wizarding side of things but give out a part of the country, please et thank you.)
In a small wizarding village just north of Obsidian called Dreandine. She's lived there most of her life, her parents are not New Zealanders, the family moved originally from France. A small coastal town boardering Spain. They moved to New Zealand in 2009.

13. Paint us a picture of Sureya's current bedroom, include posters, bed position and all that good stuff in your description.
Sureya's bedroom; It is a spacious enough room, her parents house is not small. The walls are paneled and painted white but no posters adorn them, she never felt the necessity for posters but likes framed pictures of some 'forest or other scenic view'. The room is all in pastel shades, from the bed linen to the drapes, the light fixtures, the carpet and so on. She has a trundle bed so Sharon has a place to sleep when they have sleepovers. A large wardrobe is on the far wall as is a wash basin on a similar table to the one with the silk flowers.

14a. How do you believe Sureya will react to meeting her half-sisters?
I seriously don't know. I think she will be excited at first as she has always loved the idea of siblings. I'm not sure how she will cope with anything they tell her about their own lives though and I seriously don't know how they will react to her, knowing that their respective parent had an illicit affair and produced another child.

14b. Will she also meet her mother? No.

15. What does Sureya get most annoyed at?
People who are rude for no reason than being rude. To her mind, manners cost nothing.

16. What is Sureya's favorite word and least favorite word? '
Seriously' - it's not so much that it's her favourite word but it's her most used. I don't think she had a new word but maybe I will have her have a word of the week. So that every week she abuses that one word constantly, attempts to put it into any sentence she can. Her least favourite word ... again none spring to mind but she does hate swear words. She feels no necessity for any vulgar crude words when there are so many others to choose from.

17. What does her amortentia smell like?
it would probably smell like the grass after a rain fall, the pages of a new book and oranges

18. What is Sharon Dwipple like? How old is she? What is Sharon and Sureya's relationship like?
Sharon Dwipple may have a funny sounding surname but she is just about the coolest person that Sureya knows. They met literally the very first day that Sureya and her family moved to Dreandine. She's 11 years old as well, their birthdays are four days apart. Sharon is the older of the two. They are very close and refer to one another as sisters more than just friends. It will be hard on them both with Sharon moving to England and attending a different school but they are both trying to put on a brave face. They'll owl often and their parents have agreed that they can visit often as well. She's like the dark to Sureya's light - but only in terms of their appearance. She's headstrong and very self assured.

19. What does Sureya think is her major physical flaw? (Despite being a Veela, everybody has things they don't like about themselves after all.)
Well she hasn't a clue about the veela part yet but what does bother her are actually two things;
1) her eyes are too pale. They're like frosting on a bitter cold day, they are literally always described as being ice blue. She thinks they make her look weak somehow.
2) her feet - she has big feet for her age. Actually she has fairly average feet for her height but she is convinced she had huge feet altogether and this only gets compounded when they go shopping for clothes and the assistant always tuts about having to go and get the next size up.

20. What will she think of Andromeda when she discovers that she is a Werewolf?
I don't think she's going to discover this for quite some time, she will of course suspect that the girl is slightly deranged or just barking mad but Andy certainly won't confide it to her straight away. I think when she does eventually discover it, she'll be horrified but by then won't be overly surprised.

21. Does Sureya speak any other languages? Which ones?
Her parents were actually living in France when they adopted her, a small boarder coastal town between France and Spain but they lived on the French side. She learned early to speak French and later some German as well. Her father thinks different languages will benefit her and plans on every vacation to keep her studies up.

22. What is her favorite food? Least favorite?
Favourite food is ... chicken stuffed with fresh pesto and crushed garlic
Least Favourite is ... cabbage.

23. What is her favorite book? Least favorite?
Favourite book is a muggle one ... The Girl with a Pearl Earring
Least Favourite is a wizarding story ... The Warlocks Hairy Heart

24. What house does she want to get into? What house do you think she will?
She really isn't all that fussy about which house. She doesn't think she would ever fit in or be considered for Slytherin and though she has moments of bravery she isn't really a Gryffindor at heart. I think myself that she is a Hufflepuff and hope that she gets placed there but only time and the sorting hat will tell.

25. Where is Sureya's favorite place in the world?
She loves the great out doors but most of all there is a forest about ten miles from Hastings on the North Island of New Zealand. It is absolutely beautiful, lush and green. The trees are so tall that she often thinks they can touch the sky. Sureya loves it there, her father takes her hiking to various forests but this has always been her favourite.
