Charlotte was more than ready for a new school year. It meant a fresh year of quidditch which was always good to look forward to, especially considering she was now the captain of the Slytherin team with Alana being graduated. Unfortunately, their team was just unable to get the cup last year, but Charlotte was more determined than ever to get it this year to make Alana proud. She wondered how Alana was going with her journalism career, even though it hadn't been long since they had last seen each other, and hoped that they would be able to talk again in the future.

As Charlotte finished eating her breakfast that morning she excitedly made her way outside for some fresh air. She had plenty of it during her break but figured that she could never have enough. She skipped joyfully through the grass before finding a sunny spot to sit and relax. The holidays were definitely busy, with her travelling over to Wales to see her family again, including her adopted cousin who was hopefully going to be attending Hogwarts with her next year. It was fun to meet up with the other side of the family, despite the fact that she didn't particularly like all of them, and she was glad that her holidays were enjoyable. As the prefect soaked in the sun she began to lie down on the grass, her eyes closed. She hoped the upcoming year was not going to involve too much drama and preferred to relax whilst she could.

Throughout her years at Hogwarts, Dahlia was beginning to discover a new appreciation for the outdoors. It provided her with a peaceful mind, and gave her a small escape from her insecurities. Today in particular the weather was exceptionally gentle, and the sun shone down cheerfully. Her features relaxed as she rested on the soft ground of the Great Lawn, a stack of books to her right, one in her hands. It was funny, she once used to dream of rising to the top, and pranced around the school proudly, stirring up conflict. Dahlia hated conflict now, and those dreams were never her's. The Beauregard spent her days trying to keep out of sight, knowing she could never erase her past image. Nobody was proud of her at home, and she had no friends here, though that was her own fault.

Dahlia closed her book and sat it on top of the others, turning her head to see another girl skipping joyfully through the grass before finding a nice sunny spot. She couldn't see her face, and so after a moment passed she picked her reading material back up, sifting to find the page she'd left unread. She then raised the book above her knees, covering her own face just in case the other girl decided to get curious.

As Charlotte lay on the grass, the sun warming her face, she smiled at the thought of winning the quidditch cup with her being the captain of the team. It would be a good feeling and she thought that after everything she deserved it. After a while, the girl sat back up and looked at her surroundings before her eyes were caught by a familiar figure sitting on the grass nearby. They were reading a book but their face was covered by it and so Charlotte didn't know for sure if it really was who she was thinking of. Standing up, Charlotte politely walked over to them. "Hello, I'm Charlotte." she said, introducing herself just in case this person didn't know her.
