Susie lay on her front on the yellow blanket, an open Herbology textbook under her nose. It was a beautiful day - too hot, really - and finding a quiet spot to set up their study session had been difficult, but finally she'd found a tree that wasn't surrounded by older kids lounging in the shade (or younger kids throwing their shoes up into the branches, for some reason). Every now and then, Susie dipped her hand into an open bag of jelly beans. This semester was going to be a better one, she'd decided. She only had three subjects, and none of them involved turning frogs into grasshoppers or sweating over a cauldron that might, if you stirred it a fraction too long, explode. Herbology was going to be particularly easy. Susie was smart enough to know there was a lot she didn't know, but it was nice to know that what she did know would be useful for a change.

"Do you think we'll get to go on any field trips?" she asked Lilith suddenly, chewing on the edge of a blue bean. "One time, at my elementary school, we went to a turtle sanctuary. I wanna see the turtles again." It wasn't that she didn't love magic school. It was just that she missed some of the muggle stuff, too. Like turtles, and kickball. But maybe she was just ungrateful.

While she was glad to be back at school it still felt far too empty without Tori in there, but Lilith was glad for Susie who she'd gotten closer this year. They were even doing a nice study session to get ahead of their upcoming lessons. Her work load wasn't about to get any smaller, but the Ravenclaw was very excited for most of her lessons. Though there were a few new additions to look forward to Lilith was a little sad that she wouldn't have Transfiguration until next year. Though she supposed she'd have plenty of time to prepare for everything Animagus training related now.

Looking up from her book as she leaned into the tree that they were sat under of, Lili looked to Susie. Considering her question the third year shrugged. "I'd like to think we will. Previous years at the very least in History of Magic we have done at least one." She suggested. Field trips were always nice, they provided a much needed change of scenery every now and then. "What subjects are you taking this semester?" She asked, lowering her Divination book to her lap. Kuu was also lounging a few feet away in the sun, as she usually did. The cat loved warmth above all.
