Ariah wiped at her tear filled mint green eyes softly as she headed towards the Slytherin table in the Great Hall. She had spent probably the last hour or so crying her eyes out over what had happened in the Common Room not to long ago, honestly she was more upset that he didn't even bother to ask what her reasons for doing what she did to see if there was a reason behind what she was doing. But instead he had become someone much scarier than she had ever imagined him to be and that somehow broke her heart even more than she thought it already was from all her bad luck with boys. He probably had a reason to be mad, she was such an idiot. Chances were she would have cooped herself up a bit longer trying to understand why she was such a screw up with boys and life in general but her hunger decided it wasn't going to be very considerate of how upset she was and demanded that she get something to eat or at least snack on until she was actually in a good enough mood to fully eat a meal.

With a soft sigh she sat herself down and wiped at her eyes once more. Nothing looked very appetizing to her right now and she felt her mood begin to dampen even more, even enough to where she thought her eyes were tearing up once again. What she needed was someone to spill her little heart out to, or just talk to, she didn't need food at all...yet anyways.

Hilde had been out on the pitch practicing a few moves to blow off some steam. It wasn't that she was upset over her and Xavier splitting up, but it had been nice just knowing that he was there. Especially since she had found out that Shane was dating some little twit from Ravenclaw. She still could not believe that little fact when she heard it. How could he be so rude? He knew she liked him, she knew he liked her. What the hell was the issue? Now that Hilde didn't have Xavier as her boyfriend, the fact that he was dating someone in her school bothered her. She stormed into the Great Hall, hunger now the first thing on her mind. Seeing Ariah sitting at the table, she took off her hoodie and sat down, grabbing whatever she saw in front of her. "Hey Ariah," she started, then stopped. "What happened?" she asked softly, knowing just by the look on her roommate's face that something was definitely not right.

Ariah stopped scanning the table for something to eat and let her mint green orbs land on Hilde a bit unsurely, it was never hard for that girl to notice that she was upset so now she would have to explain herself before this started to look bad. Her hand retracted her her side before she sighed and wiped at her eyes once ago, she hated being so emotional all the time. "Oh just...boy drama. Come on sit down with me." She didn't come right out and say exactly what the problem was because she wasn't exactly sure if Hilde wanted to hear about what exactly happened when Ariah knew right away that there was some other issue going on with her and Shane, or at least that is what she heard. Why was it that boys were such a pain in the butt all the time, maybe this was just going to be another year where Ariah went to the Yule Ball alone just to feel bad about seeing all the cute couples being happy with one another and everything.

"Boy drama?" Hilde asked and rolled her eyes. "Boys are just full of drama. What did the scum of the Earth do to you today?" Her words were a bit sarcastic, but she smiled and softened her face. "Sorry, had some of my own recently but you first. What made you so upset?" Hilde asked softly, moving closer to her friend with her plate of mashed potatoes and gravy that she had filled for herself. Slowly she started to eat, her stomach taking control over everything else. Her eyes stayed on Ariah, wondering just who was behind the tears this time.

Ariah felt a little bit better to know that she wasn't the only one who was having a bit of an issue with guys, she was correct to think that Hilde was having some of her own. With a small sigh she shook her head when she heard the names that had come from her friends mouth about the whole situation, there was no reason whatsoever to call him a name when all he was doing was being a typical guy and she made the mistake that led him to be upset with her. "Basically I made one little mistake, and I get screamed at. And he told me to stay away from him and everything, I guess what I did was pretty low...but..." She ended her sentence with a shrug, it wasn't like Kamaria had told her that Leviathan would not only wake up but become more upset than she had ever seen him if she told him what happened. Maybe she shouldn't have told him what she was doing after all, after a moment of thinking thoughts the blonde rubbed her head sorely before snatching a carrot from off the table and taking a small bite out of it, oh how she loved to eat vegetables whenever she was stressed. After she had swallowed the bite she had taken her mint colored eyes turned to Hilde. "So, what up with you?" Since she had calmed down since last year sometimes she probably seemed like she was trying to be rude but she usually wasn't, Ariah actually cared about her friends so she was hoping it was nothing too bad bothering Hilde right now.

Hilde listened to what Ariah said, saddened by the fact that she felt this was all her own fault. "So you made a mistake. That is no reason for him to scream at you and to stay away from him. Hopefully he will come to his senses and apologize soon. Yeah, you made a mistake, but his reaction really is way worse. At least I think its way worse." She shrugged and took another bite of her mashed potatoes. After a workout on the broom, she loved nothing but carbs and protein. She swallowed, then picked up the chicken leg to take a bite, but paused. "Plus, if this is who I think this is, I think he is totally crazy for you but just not really wanting to admit it." She winked then bit off of her chicken.

"I, well," Hilde started, not quite sure how to say things without getting herself angry again. "I found out that Shane is dating someone that goes to school here. Some little Ravenclaw twit. I am so frustrated with him! I know he likes me, so why does he do this?" She could feel the anger building up inside her again. Hilde really wanted nothing more than to find this girl and take her out. She thought she had made things clear to Shane over break how she felt, but then instead of dating her, he goes off and find this Arianna person to be his girlfriend. "Sorry. I am just really frustrated over all of this. Shall we find something to distract us from the drama?" Hilde smiled at Ariah, hoping that they would be able to help each other deal with the situations at hand.

Ariah knew he probably shouldn't have yelled at her but she still felt like she had deserved it a little and almost felt like she should be apologizing to him as well. A small sigh escaped the Blonde's lips before she nodded her head, even if he wanted to apologize to her she wasn't sure if she would even want to hear it from him. She was a bit scared of him and his temper, it reminded her of her mother and that worried her that it would be no time before he decided to hit her too. "I don't think he does at all, I'm so over him anyways." Ariah finished off her carrot before she crossed her arms over her chest and sighed softly, okay that was a complete lie but it did make her feel better to say it out loud. Once the carrot was finished off Ariah grabbed one of her favorite vegetables, a cherry tomato and popped it into her mouth. Hilde began to speak about her boy drama and Ariah's mint green eyes widened considerably.

"Awh man Hilde, thats so rotten. You need to knock some sense into him. But as a distraction what did you have in mind?" She asked with the smallest hint of a smile on her face, she felt bad that her friend had to suffer so much but maybe it would be good for them in the end of they had a struggle to go through. But the idea of a distraction also sounded really nice, maybe it would involved ice cream or something.

"I really don't know. Not yet at least," Hilde replied, stuffing her face with more of the delicious carbs. "I can't say how happy I am that Quidditch is starting up again. That has been a great distraction so far. Maybe I need to tackle this like I do Quidditch. Check out the competition a bit. I think that I need to find out more about this girl that he thinks is okay to date." A plan started into motion in Hilde's head. She needed to find out more about this girl that was now, in her eyes, her competition.

Ariah froze and blinked softly at her friend, she could pretty much see the wheels turning in Hilde's head when she said that she needed to learn more about this girl that Shane was dating. The bit she added in about treating this Quidditch and finding more out about the competition made the blonde just a little bit nervous, she stopped eating and lowered her hands down a little to stare at Hilde as if she had just grown another head or something. "Umm, and how are you supposed to do that?" She was still confused and now even slightly worried that this might get ugly, it was no secret to Ariah that Hilde adored Shane and would pretty much do whatever she could to get him, what's going to stop her from doing anything really weird and creepy to the other girl?
