The third week of classes had soon come around and Ana was learning much more in the classes than what she originally expected, especially considering the first week only consisted of introductions. The girl needed to start studying and she was more than ready to do so. With a large pile of textbooks balancing in her arms, the Slytherin made her way to the library to get started. As soon as she found an empty table she dumped all of the books onto it with a loud thud and quickly set herself up for doing some school work. She had an Astronomy essay due and so she started with that, opening up her textbook and turning to the page about the solar system and each of the planets. The girl took notes as she went, scribbling away on her piece of parchment in hopes that she could get this done neatly and efficiently.

Athena was happy that achieving her goals this year was beginning to work. She was doing all assignments on time and handing them in was enough satisfaction. She was proud of her work and she was doing well, which was all that mattered. It took patience that Athena sometimes didn't have, but eventually she would rise to the top. She had a great feeling about it. As long as she didn't have distractions, that was. Athena walked in the library, having high hopes to run into one of her friends here but no such luck. Of course, they wouldn't be here, she thought, with a fond smile on her features. Maybe Gabriella would though, but she didn't see her, Jasmine or Grayson. She sighed but then thought it better this way, she'd get her studying for the day out of the way pretty quickly. Athena wondered if she could also get more friends, or followers, or whatever. They were useful and some of them, fun to be around. She approached a table that seemed to be occupied and cleared her throat, putting a smile on her face as she asked, "Hi. Do you mind if I sit here too?" Hopefully, the other girl wouldn't make a fuss.

School definitely proved to be hard work and Ana had barely even started with the big part of the workload she was going to get. She looked up as she dipped her quill into the ink bottle in front of her to find an older blonde girl who also wore green robes asking to sit down. Ana hadn't spoken to many Slytherins yet and she wondered what they were like and if they were any better than the other houses. She nodded. "Yes." she answered simply as she watched the girl sit down with her. Ana did not go back to her work however and kept her eyes on the girl, feeling as though she saw her face not too long ago in the Great Hall. "Are you in Patrick's year?" she asked, taking note of how she wasn't that much older than her. Ana wanted to know who his friends were and what sort of reputation he gave himself last year and she hoped that the girl would be able to tell her that if she knew who he was.

Athena nodded, satisfied, and sat down with the other girl. Her friendliness to strangers was working, then, which was always a good sign. Athena opened her book and began to study, humming lowly to herself as she read, concentrated. When she glanced up, having felt the girl's eyes on her for a while, she raised an eyebrow as if to question what she was looking at. Her confusion was gone however when she was asked a very simple question. "Oh, yes I am. Patrick Vernier you mean? Do you know him?" she asked the Slytherin curiously, wondering if they were related or friends or what. Athena wasn't really good friends with the hufflepuff but she knew him from class and the occasional conversation.
