Open After Kadi posts with Nikko

Objectively, they were supposed to be using this time to be studying for their OWLs, though if anyone asked Ryan was definitely learning something. Whether it would be on his OWL exam was another question, but that wasn't going to stop him. He'd been putting a lot of work into his Permanent Sticking Charm and he was sure he was close to actually getting it at least semi-permanent. Enough to try a few experiments with it at least.

"Hey, hold this," he said vaguely, handing his spare Ravenclaw tie to Nikko, waiting for Nikko to take it before casting the charm bind the charm to his classmate's hand. Giving it a few tugs, Ryan looked satisfied, stepping back and drawing his wand, ready to see if the charm would hold under a basic summoning charm.

Nikko had never been the best when it came to lessons and studying but apparently this year was important. If he wanted a magical job then he needed the grades but, if he was honest with himself he wasn't sure if he wanted that. It was hard enough going home for breaks and not talking about magic, but if that was all the time? He sighed and pushed his book away, tired of reading. He looked up curiously when Ryan asked him to hold something. "Ok." he said easily. He was unsure why he needed to hold the other boy's tie but his confusion only grew as Ryan cast some kind of charm on it. Much to Nikko's surprise it didn't budge as Ryan pulled on it. "Hey, uh what did you do?" he asked warily.

Ryan was obliged when Nikko took the tie without question. He really needed more people in his life to just listen to him. Everyone always wanted to waste time on dumb questions and it really slowed Ryan down. "Just a permanent sticking charm," he said, waving away Nikko's concern with his free hand as he drew his wand. "I just wanna see how it works versus a summon charm. Accio tie!" he said. Ryan had no idea if the summoning charm would bring Nikko along with it or if the tie would stay stuck to him instead, but either way it would be interesting to watch.

"Permanent?" Nikko repeated, his concern growing even as Ryan waved it off not seeming bothered in the slightest. He waved his hand around tentatively and as expected the tie didn't budge even a little bit. He even flexed his hand a few times testing the charm some more. Even if the charm was called permanent Nikko was sure that was just part of it's name and there was surely a counter charm. He was about to ask Ryan if he knew it when he noticed the other boy picking up his wand and say something about the accio charm. "Wait-" Nikko tried to protest but it was too little too late as the tie was compelled by the charm and his body unfortunately went with it. Thankfully they had only been sitting on opposite sides of a table but his knee hurt from where he banged it into the table during his sudden movement. "Ow." he said dryly.

Ryan wasn't sure if Nikko had any protest about the experiment since he didn't exactly have much time to keep speaking after Ryan cast the summoning charm. He flinched back when Nikko was dragged forward, blinking for a few moments before beaming and bounding back over to where Nikko was tangled up with the tabletop. "That was perfect! Is the tie still stuck?" He said, grabbing Nikko's wrist and giving it a little tug without waiting for Nikko to respond. "Let's try it again without any furniture in the way," he said, already speculating how far you could get someone to travel if they had the right grip on a summoned object. He didn't wait for Nikko to respond again, moving to pull him to his feet where his hand was still on his wrist.

Nikko watched Ryan curiously. This was the most he had ever seen the other boy emote and it honestly unsettled him a bit. "Apparently." he grumbled as he inspected his hand. It hadn't hurt exactly. The skin on his hand felt fine but his wrist and elbow hadn't enjoyed being pulled so suddenly. Gingerly, he tugged on the tie and there was no sign of it budging anytime soon. Nikko looked up quickly as Ryan suggested they try again. "Uhh, are you sure?" he asked tentatively. He didn't want to upset the Ravenclaw or appear rude but this wasn't exactly his idea of a good time. But if obstacles were removed, he guessed he could probably deal with it one more time. He rubbed his knee and watched Ryan warily.
