To many, Hogwarts was a home away from home, if not someone's only home. Hogwarts was safe and an escape where young magical folk went to learn and make friends and find their place in the world, living life away from their troubles at home. The place to grow up and make friends and memories to last a lifetime. Pascal's own experience of Hogwarts was not one filled with happiness and countless friends and memories, as much as he once wished it might be. Instead his own experience of Hogwarts was inherently different and to him Hogwarts instead of giving him a chance to learn and grow was holding him back from his dreams of stardom. Learning magic while all well and good for most magical folk would never be useful in show business, and Pascal knew this from the beginning. He knew rather than bettering himself and his talents in attending dance competitions and auditions, he was left with attending pointless classes at Hogwarts instead. He knew that he was living with the illusion of progress instead of the real progress he was searching for, attending a school with subjects he wasn't interested in learning. He both felt and knew that he was wasting his talents.

This was the reason Pascal found himself in the conglomerated arts room that day, practicing his routines instead of attending his classes. Whatever class was on his timetable or overdue homework he was yet to begin did little to match up to his routines in priority, especially when compared with the performances lined up in his schedule for the next school holidays. He had spent most of the day working on his solo jazz routine, trying his best to perfect it to his standards with the time he had. By the time he stopped mid afternoon to begin cool down stretches he felt something resembling accomplishment which was more than he could say for most days he spent at Hogwarts. Pascal began to catch his breath slightly as he stretched his arms for a few minutes, soon sitting on the floor and reaching to his toes to stretch his legs. He considered returning to the common room to retrieve his guitar, and spend the last few hours of the daylight practicing his songs but for the moment decided to continue stretching and unwinding from spending the day practicing.
