With winter coming up there were not many students that went up to the North Tower, well certainly not after curfew, which was why Jennifer Lydia Wilkonson was exactly there. She wanted to be by herself instead of with the students who looked at her oddly when she walked in because she was so tense about everything in her life she was sure if one of them irritated her just a smidgen she would snap their necks off. Of course only in her mind did she take such actions.

She was angry at herself for kissing Matthew, when she didn't have any feelings for him that way before hand and now Jenn could not get the boy out of her mind. It bugged her having thoughts of this boy that since Salem had always been a brother-type for her and that she couldn't do anything about it. On top of that her mother was making her visit her baby sister over the winter which was slowly aggravating her.

Jenna hated Hannah, she hated her mother and she hated her father. She wanted to talk to her twin brother but of course her mother and father were screening their male and not allowing any mail from each sibling go to one another. It was really vexing, knowing this and that she couldn't do anything about it and that no one understood what she was going through but her brother who could very well be dying right now.

Well this was where the North Tower came in. She would bring her telescope and star chart to see the stars and planets. This was the only thing that calmed the Hufflepuff down. Normally she would have invited Scorpius to come watch the stars with her as they had often done lately but now Jenn needed time by herself, away from all males.

Sorry my muse is zilch.

How long had it been since Toni had spent time with Sam or Taylor or even Knight? Way too long in this Slytherin's mind. Yet there was nothing she seemed to do about the fact that her friends were slipping through her fingers. Lately she had been in her own little world. Taking care of her triplet sisters that were just barely staying out of trouble here at Hogwarts. She had to deal with her falling grades from lack of caring and really friends for some reason seemed to take the back sit. Everything was piling on this blonde girl and she wasn't sure how she could handle the pressures.

I just need a breath of fresh air Toni thought to herself as she began to wonder towards the castle doors leading to the outdoors. Only did her footsteps stop when the echoes of her own step of footsteps matched some echoes of another person's. Due to the late time of the night, Toni knew that sneaking outside would probably not be the best choice. Instead this slytherin stopped midstep and ran into the nearest staircase. This stair case just happened to lead her up into the North tower. A place Toni always found herself coming to when thoughts needed to be said freely. Never was this a good thing. Okay well rarely was this a good thing.

However with the threat of detention looming over the fourteen year old, Toni continued up the stairs entering the once thought to be empty room. Instead she found herself staring at the girl she would rather not be stuck in the towers with. None other than Jenn, a hufflepuff that never seemed to like Toni. And really that Toni never really liked either. "Jenn" Toni said simply walking over to the girl not saying much more wondering the other girl's reaction.

Jenn almost didn't recognize her name when it was said, it seemed so foriegn to her to have any actual human contact rather than her Ravenclaw friend. Her cerulean blue eyes closed for a moment from the pressure of the eye whole of her telescope, dreading seeing who had spoke her name but she opened it and stood up straight to see none other than Slytherin, Toni Addison. Both of them had never been fond of each other but sh honestly did not have any feelings towards the girl any more, negative or positive. It felt so trivial to dislike her for the reasons she had so she had personally barried the hatchet.

"Oh, hello Toni. What brings you here?" Jenny asked, trying to seem fine when she was not, as she looked down at her thin, silver watch her aunt had sent to her for her birthday. She needed to make sure her observations were correct with the time, so she looked back and made a mental note to write that down in her note book and at a later time speak to Professor Merrythought about what she had seen.

The natural blonde had not seen the other blonde for a very long time. She wondered if Sam had actually seen her but for some reason she doubted it. "Haven't seen you in a while," she murmured quietly, more of an observation than a accusation to where she had been. Jenn hadn't seen Sam, Taylor or Hoshi since Sam's birthday so it could very well be her being anti-social.

So many thoughts ran through Toni's mind the moment she looked around the North Tower. So much had happened up here. So many heartaches, fights, and even good times. It was like she was told the first time upon entrance drama lived in this area and breed. It was no wonder this slytherin girl found herself in this tower time after time. Usually with the people she least expected to find her. Sam, Jenn, Beau, and even a few others. All alone. Tonight it was Jenn so Toni could only hope it would not be like the rest of the times or maybe just maybe everything would turn out alright. Make a friend even Toni thought a smile forming on her face holding back a laugh at the thought. Burrying all the bad times would probably be best though Toni wasn't quite sure if she was able to do that, at least not easily.

The voice of Jenn ran through Toni's head as she focused her attention back to the girl. "I wanted to get some fresh air but someone was wondering downstairs blocking the doors. Probably some professor. Decided this was the next best place" She said absentmindedly shrugging slightly. "And what are you doing here?" She asked keeping her tone casual. No need to be rude. There was no need for any unfriendly behavior at this point and time.

Twirling a strand of her blonde hair, she looked at the telescope thinking of all the astronomy lessons that she had been through. Sure Toni liked the subject. Not as much as History of Magic but still. Those two subjects were those that she must keep on the downlow. Liking classes was a ravenclaw like thing not a slytherin like thing. Most definatly not a Toni thing. "I know. It's been awhile. Guess I've been busy" She commented not knowing yet wondering how much time Jenna was spending time with the group. Did the group even get together anymore? In a way Toni would be disappointed if they did without her. Though she might just be even more disappointed if they no longer hung out at all. She needed a group. Toni was not a loner. It just wouldn't due.

Jennifer flickered her eyes up to Toni as she said that she wanted to get fresh air and she nodded her head lightly. "The night is so lovely I could not resist lugging my telescope up," she said, almost smiling up at the stars that she barried herself in constantly. "And I wanted to clear my mind," she added, frowning gently at the end bit before smiling fakely, like she seemed to be doing to everyone but the Reeds and Scorpius.

"It seems everyone is busy now," Jenna said quietly, sad that the group had fallen apart and that she didn't see Sam, her best friend, as much as she had in previous years. "As far as I know, Scorpius and I are the only ones that see each other regularly. Well excluding you and Sam. After all, you two are together," she said absentmindedly, shrugging her shoulders uncomfortably. It was not that she had romantic feelings for Sam any longer, she was just uncomfortable on the subject of boyfriends and the sort because of what had happened with Matthew. But she was not going to bore Toni with it, it was not like she ever cared about her problems. Even when Owen was on his death bed, she had a feeling that Toni did not give one thought hoping that her brother would make it, but well that was in the past right? It did not matter anymore. Jennifer had offered the olive branch to Toni and was only waiting for it to be accepted.

Toni nodded her head a few times as she listened to Jenn explain why she was up in the tower. Really Toni could care less why the other blonde had made her way up there in the first place, but to continue a decent conversation it seemed needed to at least ask a question as if the Slytherin really did care. Though the sound of the second sentence coming out of the other girl's mouth intrigued Toni slightly. She needs to clear her mind. humm I wonder why The slytherin wondered, her curious self coming out needing to know everything. Afterall this could be gossip that the blonde had missed when she became so anti social for what seemed like the longest period of time.

"Anything in particular you wanted to clear from your mind?" Toni questioned not using the subtle move that she probably should have. This young teen didn't really care for being subtle in this situation. If Jenna was going to tell her, she would. If not, Toni had little chance that she would drag it out of the girl. Hopefully for Toni's needed to know behavior, Jenna would be in an information sharing mood.

Looking away, Toni placed her hand on the wall, absentmindedly tracing a star with her finger giving the other girl a little silence before she spoke up again. "Yeah everyone is rather busy. Shame really." Toni said meaning that. Yet there was that small happiness done within that this girl felt. Glad that everyone wasn't hanging out without her. She was still in the group. Now the task was to get everyone to hang out once more. Toni would make this one of the many things on her to do list that she needed to accomplish.
