Stand Still

Leia had gone about her usual day and halfway through lunch she had decided to take a trip to the North tower for no apparent reason. The Hufflepuff girl was wearing a white spaghetti strapped shirt with a sweater over it, jean skirt, and a white beanie over her long thick curls. She wasn't really hungry that day so she had decided not to eat in the Great Hall and simply took a green granny smith apple to chew on as she took her trip up to the towers.

Once she got there, Leia rested her arms on the edge of the tower, overlooking the grounds where she saw many specs going left and right and some doing devious things. She took a bite of her apple and was reminded of her friend Oscar, whom she had met up here with once, but right now her mind was on another Ravenclaw friend, Emma. She seemed to be really busy with her school work or something since the two hadn't had time to catch up at all. Leia was starting to fear she'd never have a girl friend to talk to, since all her friends seemed to be male. Leia took another bite of her apple as she continued to stare out in thought.

A blue dress with a long grey sweater over it, dark grey leggings and flip flops, was what Emily decided to wear before exiting her dorm room. Lately she had been in the common room more often then not, enjoying the conversation she had with her peers, but today something pulled her feet onward, leading her down the Ravenclaw tower, and up the North Tower, while her chocolate brown eyes were dazed and out of focus.

Although Emma had been with her fellow Ravenclaw's she felt alone and depressed, she hadn't seen either of her best friends in so long. She could honestly say that she missed Cyril the most, for some reason he meant more to her, but she cared for Leia none the less. With an inaudible sigh, she sat down on the cold cobblestone, closed her eyes while crossing her legs and placing her hands palm down on the floor, breathing in and out deeply.

Leia's chewing had prevented her from hearing anyone come into the North tower so she hadn't noticed her best friend, the one she was currently thinking about right now, walk in and sit on the floor. It wasn't until Leia was about to take another bit of her apple when she thought she saw Kaleb on the grounds, walking with another girl, that caused her to drop her apple. She gasped lightly and when she turned to grab it off the floor, and dispose of it properly, she gasped even louder upon noticing her friend there. "Emma!" she said in complete surprise, holding her hand up to her erratically beating heart. "How long have you been there?" she asked in bewilderment, letting the surprise overcome her before a slow smile appeared on her face.

As usual, Emma sensed someone elses presence so when her name was said, she didn't jump with a start. She slowly turned her head towards her best friend, before slowly opening her dreamy chocolate brown eyes. "Not long," she breathed simply, before standing up and wrapping her arms around her best friend tightly.
