Open Stairs to Nowhere!

Vex was bored and that's never really been a good thing as many of the residents of Hogwarts would know. When the Poltergiest was bored, bad things usually happened. Today, wasn't so bad, because the Poltergeist had made plans. He was going to be ever so helpful and move the staircases around so people could get to where they were going a little faster. It wasn't his fault he didn't know beings couldn't float through walls now was it? He watched in rapt attention as the students and Professors and caretakers of the school tried to get to their destinations, the stairs letting most of them through, until one came along every now and then and he took great pleasure out of sending them into a wall, because it was funny if they were late.

Jonah had been trying his best with his classes this semester, sadly some were going better than others. History was one class he was never sure how he was doing. And it was a scary class. It was just one of those classes that he had a professor that he didn't get along with but this one threatened to bury him so he'd been sort of focusing on History more than anything else that some of his other classes would often fall to the wayside. He was going down the stairs in a rush to go to his class whilst reading his textbook when he... bumped? Into a wall? What? He turned back around and... that was not where he had come from? Okay, he knew the stairs were moving earlier but why was he stuck on a wall? He didn't have time for this, they had a quiz in History he couldn't afford to miss. Well since there was no way down... he supposed back up was the way to go? Fine, he could try going up to... Is that the fifth floor?​

Vex watched in invisibility as a young student, he had no idea how old and he didn't care frankly, seemed to be walking into the wall. "THROUGH THE WALL THROUGH THE WALL!" he chanted, because he was being helpful obviously! As the ... Hufflepuff? he assumed fromt he colour of his robes... turned back around, the stairs moved again, this time trapping him against another wall, and Vex broke into hysterical laughter.
“Through the wall, through the wall!
Step right in, don’t trip, don’t fall!
Ghostly hands will guide your way,
Unless the stairs decide to play!”
