Contrary to what many people though, Clara actually quite liked parties. She had seen all manner of parties from when Celeste hosted them, or when they were invited to one. When her daddy and his boyfriend had still been together, Cameron had liked to throw parties. Imogen and Svetlana both had also enjoyed parties. Her siblings all had their own like or dislike for parties, but Clara always thought they were a good way to observe people. Ruben, for example, would likely stand in a corner and make herself unnoticeable. Wynter would take up the whole dance floor and were Oliver here, he'd likely take up residence next to her. It was Leander she missed the most though. Where once he used to annoy her, she found herself missing his constant presence once he went off to school. She'd meant to seek him out when she got here, but had been busy with her studies, just as she was sure he had been. She wasn't a huge fan of quidditch, though she liked flying and so she didn't spend a lot of time down there, where she knew he now commentated. Mabe she would have to make a trip down there at some point in order to say hi to her big brother. Her family only kept getting bigger and she missed the closeness that the three of them once shared.

Leander swiftly made his way to the dance with a notepad and pen in hand. He was not very interested in the dance himself, but he needed to learn more about the social lives of the Quidditch players in order to make more entertaining commentary. The fourth year wore a simple suit and nothing dashing. He felt he did not really have to try to look dashing. Once Lee walked into the Great Hall he spotted his sister, who seemed to be alone. He swiftly walked up behind the girl and leaned down so his lips were close to her ears. "Aren't you supposed to be dancing?" he whispered.

Clara looked up as she heard the voice of her brother in her ear. He was much taller than her, as she was still only eleven and so Clara smiled slightly up at the fifth year. "Not really. I don't have anyone to dance with. I am happy here." She told him, flattening out her dress as she always did. "Why you have notebook?" She asked. She knew he did Quidditch things now, but she wasn't entirely sure what it entailed. She liked carrying books everywhere too, but they were usually ones that she would like to read, or her books for class. She also didn't have her wand with her tonight as she still didn't know enough of most spells to be able to use it. She was sure Leander would know more than she did.
