Open Sophie's Rose

[Nixon Mercury]

(Yellow for Sophie Wilson, open after Daphne)​

The next recipient on Nixon's list was someone he knew he could find easily, and also someone he was on relatively neutral terms with which was a relief after the other rose deliveries he had made that day. Confident this would be an easy delivery to make, Nixon made his way to the Hogwarts Monthly room in the hopes of finding Sophie. He opened the door and poked his head through, smiling when Sophie was indeed nearby. "Oh hey, I have a rose for you." Nixon said, before opening the door fully and stepping into the room.​

Sophie had just received a rose from Lizzie, but hoped that hiding out int he Hogwarts Monthly room would mean she would be left alone for the rest of the day. No such luck, it seemed. She sighed at Nixon as he approached her. "Thanks. Can I have it?" She asked him, not sounding exactly thrilled about it.

Nixon looked for the yellow rose in his bucket as he walked over to Sophie, and when he found it he handed it over to her, making sure the note was with it. "There you go." He said, smiling. This was definitely one of the deliveries he was more comfortable with, and unlike the other roses he had delivered that day he did not want to leave immediately, happy to wait a little while to see Sophie's reaction to what the note said. "Who's it from?" He asked curiously, trying to make conversation.​

Sophie thanked Nixon quietly as she took the rose from him. Then she unfolded the note. She quirked one eyebrow as he asked who it was from. "Are you this nosy with everyone you deliver to?" She asked him wryly. Then she opened the note and read it, a surprised smile appearing on her face. "From... Joshua." She said, gesturing to the room around them to indicate it was the boy in the club with them. She was certainly surprised by this rose, as she didn't think she had talked to the boy much. "Did you get any?"
