Conan was happy to finally be at Hogwarts. He didn't mind that he was in a different house from his older siblings. He was just glad that he got to see them a little more than before. The Ravenclaw boy stood in the student lounge, eyeing the bookshelf that displayed all the different board games there. This had been one of the first few times Conan had visited the student lounge. It was a little different to what he was expecting. The games ranged from muggle to magical games. But Conan was unsure of what game to do. "Hey, do you recommend any games to play that are here?" Conan asked curiously as he turned to the boy nearby.

Chase wasn't sure about his game plan now that he was at Hogwarts. Would he just push everyone away and spend most of his time alone like he had done at his old school? Or would he actually go and try to make friends? He hadn't decided yet. Perhaps it depended on the people he met. Maybe he would even surprise himself. He hadn't been looking for friends when he met Leah and yet there had been something about her that made him think that they could be. She had trusted him so easily. Having found his way to the student lounge Chase looked around as he tried to decide where to sit. Before he could he heard someone speak up though and he took a second to make sure the boy had actually been talking to him. "Unless any of them are electric, I highly doubt it." He replied with a shrug, glancing at the game collection.

Conan adjusted the shoebox that was under his arm a bit, as he frowned in thought a little and continued to stare at the bookshelf, hoping that if he stared longer something interesting would eventually pop up. But nothing interesting popped up. "Electric games?" Conan asked the boy, moving his full attention to the boy nearby from the bookshelf. He didn't really know the guy, though Conan thought he recognised him from the sorting ceremony, he couldn't tell.

Chase had stepped over to the other boy to look at the game collection now that he had drawn his attention to it, picking up a few to see what was underneath before placing them right back where they came from. Nothing looked too interesting or fun and it suddenly made him wonder what he was supposed to be doing around here when he got bored. "Yeah, like video games?" He replied as he turned to look at the boy, gaze falling on the shoebox that he was carrying with him. "You know you can just put that down, right? Whatever it is."

Conan nodded a little, vaguely remembering the word video games. He remembered Gregory mentioning it the other day. "Right... Video games..." Conan said with a small nod like he knew what he was talking about, but he clearly didn't fully understand what video games were. Conan then glanced down at the shoe box that was underneath his arm and shrugged a little. "Oh... right," Conan says with a slight nod, before carefully placing the box of his shells onto the table nearby, the contents inside making some small clattering noises. "I'm Conan by the way, what's your name?" Conan says as he turns back to the other boy with a small smile.

Chase squinted when the other boy nodded. He sounded like he tried to make him believe what he was talking about but didn't exactly, well.. know what he was talking about. "They're these Muggle games." He simply stated, not quite sure if he should go into a detailed explanation of what video games were and how they worked. That would probably be a waste of time if he didn't have one to show as an example. "What's even in that anyways?" He questioned when the other boy put down the shoebox. It had to be something important if he was carrying around with it. Right? "It's Chase." He simply stated when Conan introduced himself, not sure why all of these kids were so keen on introducing themselves and trying to make friends. He still liked to believe friends were overrated. If only to make himself feel better.

"Ohhhh, that makes sense then," Conan said with a small nod. He did like learning about the muggle technology, so he was intrigued by it all. But decided to put off the questions for now. He quickly looked down at the box that the boy had asked about the box. "Oh, it's my shell collection. This is only some of it" Conan says with a small shrug and small smile. "Do you have any collections or hobbies?" Conan asked with a slight head tilt. He nodded when Chase had introduced himself, glad to put a name on a face.

Chase couldn't help but to slightly raise an eyebrow when the boy mentioned he had his shell collection inside of the shoe box. Or at least a part of it. "Right." He replied with a small nod, not sure what else to say. He could appreciate people taking a liking to something, having a hobby. It just seemed a little odd that the boy would be carrying it around. As long as he wasn't bothering Chase with it he didn't really care though. "I like video games." He replied with a small shrug since he had just come to the conclusion that Conan didn't know what they were. "And I take pictures. Sometimes. When I feel like it." He added casually.
