Something About Place and Time

[Sophia Night]

While it had been sort of exciting to have Rory show her around the castle, Sophia was much more comfortable exploring the school at her own pace now that she knew where most of the main features were. Today she had made her way out of the Hufflepuff common room and had decided to wander down the corridor a little. The library was on this floor, but she didn't particularly want to look at any books right now, or bother anyone who did want to do so. Libraries were still places of silence and study for the young girl, so she passed the heavy doors with only a lingering glance and made her way further along the corridor. Truthfully, Sophia knew, she also wanted to begin making some friends and the better place to do that would perhaps be down in the student lounge. Her steps were purposeful, but hesitant, and as she reached the entrance to the room Sophia peered around the door-frame in a way that she hoped didn't look too strange. It was hard to tell just by looking at who was gathered who might be a good person to be friends with, but if she just stood here and did nothing Sophia was sure she wouldn't make any friends at all. Noticing a blonde girl who looked relatively close to her own age, Sophia walked over and stopped next to the empty chair across from her. "Excuse me, but... is there anyone sitting here? Um, if there isn't... would you mind me sitting with you?" She smiled, trying to give off the air that she would be a nice friend for this girl to have.
