Someone who understands

Kasey was broken, deep down inside her heart she felt humiliated. Although she didn't show it, she was very good with that but her heart told her to write to her brother Benjamin. No matter how he was with other girls but Kasey was sure that Ben loved her and would understand what she was going through at the moment. If he wouldn't then no one would.

With this in mind, she woke up before dawn sitting in her dormitory in the grave like silent room she thought about what she would write. What if he tells Daniel? a part in her asked whie the other assured that no matter how good friends Ben and Dan would be Benjamin would do no such thing.

She started writing down with ink on a parchment using her favorite eagled feather quill.Someday hopefully all this would come to an end.

Dear Benjamin,

I am sorry to not have written to you from so long. I was busy. Well no I wasn't. How are you? And your girl friends? I hope you are sticking to a single girl because only a girl can understand how heart breaking is. School is fine. Studies are good and Qudditch is brilliant.

Ravenclaw has won two matches and one more match and we will get the cup. My OWLs are approaching and in this course of time something really bad has happened. I was sleeping in the library, I was too tired reading too much as I do. I began sleep talking and I was dreaming of Daniel and my last meeting in Brightstone village.

Now this stupid guy who hates me wrote about it all over Hogwarts wall. You know how much i hate being center of attention and topic for gossips. And my OWLs are coming. I am trying my best to concentrate but I hope you understand how it feels. He wrote that I broke up with Dan because I don't like poor boyfriends but i do allow to let him stay at my place.

Ben, the guy is my best friend's very good friend and I don't wanna get him in trouble and make her sad. Daniel and I can't have a relationship anymore. It's not a matter of whether we have feelings for each other or not but the distance that separates us. I have explained it to him but he won't understands and keeps writing to me. Please explain him. Dont tell him about the writing on the wall. Everything else is fine. Write to mom she is depressed.

[Benjamin Carla]

Benjamin was lying on his bed with a heavy book on Herbology that he read silently. The Dumstrang boys dormitory had only two boys in one room and as Ben's roomate was outside the place was silent. He turned the page realizing that it was twilight and he was starting to feel cold. With a wave of his wand he lit a fire in the beautiful fireplace. The dancing fire illuminated the room and provide the warmth required. Although it was soon going to be summer in the north but the locations around Dumstrang were always covered with snow.

Although Benjamin was a flirt, a damn good one and very good at Qudditch he even payed attention to his studies. His looks added the magic touch and Ben was an all rounder of the 7th year at Dumstrang. He still had one more year to go before he graduated so he was having all the fun he could before heavy burdens of resposibilities were placed on his shoulders.

This was when a snowy owl came and sat on the snow covered window sill. Hitting it's beak against the thick glass window to make the recipient aware that a mail had arrived, Violet waited in the freezing tempratures.

Benjamin heard the sound and opened the window allowing the weak and frozen bird to come inside. Placing it near the fire so it could warm itself, Ben untied the letter. He knew this had come from his beloved sister Kasey. He was eager to hear from her since a long time.

Reading again and again, the elder brother noticed the sorrow and pain that had passed upon Kasey during the past month or so. Knowing Kasey, the shy girl, he knew she wouldn't give away the boy's name to the Professor. He just had to think of a way to convince her to go with the truth no matter how bitter it would be. Another thing that pierced Benjamin was the realization of Daniel, his best friend and Kasey's break up. It seemed to have happened a few months ago however Daniel had hidden this from him very well. Keeping the book aside, Benjamin thought about what was to be done in this situation.

Kasey was starting to get edgy by the minute. Two days had passed since she sent the letter. The north was surely having loads of snow at the moment, she hoped Violet was alright. She couldn't wait to hear Benjamin's reply. She was so confused and this Ravenclaw trusted her brother and was sure that his advice would surely help.

Benjamin had considered this matter seriously because when it came to her younger sister, he wouldn't take any chances after all it was a matter of her happiness. Knowing Kasey he was sure that she felt sad and lonely at this moment. The fact that Daniel had feelings for her was another thing but if Kasey did not want to see Daniel anymore it wasn't right for Dan to pursuade her in doing so. He had decided to have a clear talk with Dan about all this and to tell him that he weren't to write to Kasey anymore unless she wrote to him.

As for Alex Cullen, the boy who had brought tears to her sister's eyes, Benjamin had decided what was to be done. He wished to do and see the boy on his own but knowing that kasey would refuse him in doing so, he decided to advice her to do what she was expected of. To hand him in.

Dear Kasey,

I miss you too. Exams were very good and now I am coming to New Zealand for two weeks. This will give mother a bit of change. I will talk to Daniel about it and you can rest assured he won't bother you further. As for the b@stard who did that to you, you have no other choice but to hand him in. I am sure that's exactly what your best friend would tell you too. No matter what realtionship she has with the guy, it's the right thing to do. Also as a Prefect thats what you are expected off. Don't show mercy on him. He was too evil to do this to you. Shall I come and talk to your headmistress about this? Please allow me. I will also be able to see you in that way.
