Dante sat just on the outskirts of the Forbidden Forest. He sat on a fallen log, far enough in where he couldn't be seen by the students of Hogwarts, but so that he could see anyone approaching. He was once again reading 'The Tales Of Beetle The Bard,' alone. He enjoyed the peace and quiet, but he also longed for someone to talk to.... He wished for a friend. He didnt get along with most people in his house, as they were all cruel and unlikeable. Bue he hadnt had the courage to talk to anyone from the other houses, as he would never hear the end of it from his house-mates.

Why had he been placed in Slytherin? He was nothing like the rest of them. He was a quiet, nice, caring boy, none of which were traits of a Slytherin. Was he doomed to one day turn day side? Or was he just being tortured.

Anna sighed deeply as she made her second trip to the Forbidden Forest this year. It was a lovely afternoon to break the rules and that was exactly what Anna had planned to do. However when she saw a boy, roughly her age, sitting on a log right outside of her destination she decided to change her plans for the afternoon. He seemed lonely and Anna hated to see someone sit by themselves. Anna approached him with a wide grin, "Do you mind if I take a seat?" Anna motioned towards the log the boy was sitting on. Anna scanned the boy to see what she could tell from his clothing. Anna's eyes locked on the Slytherin house crest sewn onto his uniform. Anna bit her lip hard, I hope he's not LIKE a Slytherin!

Dante looked up from the book and saw one of the prettiest girls he had ever seen. He lost his stream of concentration for a minute as his mouth dropped, then he recovered, blushing slightly and nodded. "Uh, yes, please." he said in a soft, shy voice. He saw that she was a Ravenclaw and calmed down somewhat. Ravenclaw's were usually nice, but as he stared into her eyes, he saw i look of hesitation as she scanned him, and guessed she had seen the Slytherin crest. "Im not like them..." he reassured her, as if reading her thoughts.

He closed the book he had in his hand and slid in into his bag, which was sitting on the log next to him. He took a soft, sharp breath and turned to look at the girl. As he scanned her, he noticed she was around his age, and that make him relax even more. "Im Dante, Dante Vrael." he said in a soft, gentle voice, staring back up into her eyes again. He had not really had much experience with talking to girls, and he was sounding like a shy little kid.

Anna smiled as she sat down on the old log. He seemed like a sweet boy... He mentioned not being like them which was relieving to Anna. "I'm Anna Summers. It's a pleasure to meet you, Dante!" she said as sweetly as she could. Anna could tell Dante was shy but she did her best to act as if she was clueless to the very idea. Anna loved talking to boys. There were many reasons why but she couldn't seem to pinpoint the main one! The conversations were always interesting, it seemed. "I hope I'm not interuppting anything... Am I?" Anna knew many people who hated to be torn away from a good book! Sometimes even a bad one!!!

Dante laughed softly and nodded. She was sweet, nice, and gorgeous. No wonder he was stuttering over himself. "Its a pleasure to meet you too." he replied, his voice growing slightly more bolder. He was relaxing slowly, but it was still not enough. He had been a lonely child, and though after he had moved in with his cousin, he had gotten used to a various string of girls parading through the house, but none had ever paid him any attention. But this girl seemed genuinely interested in him, and this made him even more eager to get to know her.

He kept staring from the ground and into her eyes. At one point he had lingered on her soft looking lips, and his heart had felt like it was about to burst from his chest. "No, no." he said when she asked if she was interrupting. "I just don't have any friends, so i tend to read a lot...." he replied, and then stopped as he realized he was staring at her lips again. He blushed softly.

Anna smiled her "Special Smile", which she didn't use often. She liked his laugh, it was cute. Anna could tell Dante liked her. He was sweet and quite handsome. She decided that he was right; He didn't belong in Slytherin. He was NOTHING like them! She was glad to know he wasn't busy, it meant she probably wouldn't have to leave. Anna bit her lip, deciding what to say, she started off with a simple question, "How's Hogwarts for you?" Anna thought about what life would be like without any friends and felt bad for him immediatly, I'm at least going to be his friend! Maybe one day somethiing more!!, Anna smiled as she thought about it to herself.

Dante continued staring into her eyes. There was some spark there... Some alluring asset, that kept his gaze trapped on hers. He was listening intently to every word she said, and finally, the red that blazed across his cheeks started to fade. He was growing more and more comfortable by the second, and he was cherishing every moment with her.

He smiled and shrugged at her question. How would he answer this? If fact, he had started to loathe the daily routine of Hogwarts. He hated going back to the common room every night after classes, just to put up with the brutality of his fellow Slytherins. At first, he had wanted to leave, but he had gotten used to it, and now he spent his days as if he were a ghost, walking the corridors of Hogwarts quiet and alone. "Its okay.... Its alot better, now." he said with his charming little smirk. It was alot better now he had met Anna. He had barely know her half an hour and he had already developed a crush for the Ravenclaw, which burned his insides and made him feel like he could fly.

Anna looked into Dante's eyes as he spoke. She could tell he didn't like his house. Anna wished she could offer to let him be a Ravenclaw with her, such a silly idea would never come true, Anna reminded herself. "So... Um... What book were you reading?" Anna asked absentmindedly. Anna wasn't really focused much on the conversation anymore, but instead on his face. It was spilling out several emotions at a time and Anna enjoyed putting the pieces together.

Dante felt like he was on top of the world as he stared into Anna's beautiful eyes. They bother seemed to be concentrating on each others faces instead of the conversation, but he didn't mind. He felt like he could stare into this face forever and never get bored with it. It was the sun to the moon, the rose to the weed, the light to the dark. He smiled at her and shrugged. "The Tales Of Beetle The Bard." he replied, but he was still to engulfed in the beauty of her face to say anymore. He watched as a lock of hair fell across Anna's face and without thinking, raised his hand and brushed it gently behind her ear, then, realizing what he'd done, he recoiled and blushed harder than ever. "Sorry," he said, his voice as soft and embarrassed as ever.

"Oh cool..." Anna replied, again not paying attention, "Im reading The Princess Bride... Again..." The Princess Bride was Anna's favorite book in the whole world! She had read it literally over 50 times. Expensive... But worth it! A strand of Anna's light blond hair fell right in between her eyes. Dante gently pushed it behind her ear then blushed. Anna bit her lip once more and looked away but she was smiling on the inside. This guy is definatly worth a date or two... Anna's stomach flung around, twisting and turning inside her. Her stomach was filled with butterflies. Anna didn't quite know what to say so she sat still and silent, turning her gaze back to his eyes.

Dante sat in the awkward silence. He had made a stupid move, without realizing what he was doing. He had just met this girl, and already he was flirting, and now, from the looks of things, she felt embarrassed to be here. Or was he imagining it? Eager to move on from this awkward moment, he jumped to his feet, and maybe a little to fast. He blushed again, and then took a deep breath.

He quickly wracked his brains for something to do... Anything, to still be with her but for her to forget what he had just done. "Would you care to take a walk through the forest with me? Don't worry, ill be there to protect you," he jokingly added on the end as he held out his hand.

Anna bit her lip again, a little harder than usual. She hesitated then decided it could be fun. She took his hand and sighed, Why not? She smiled, unsure of what to say or do. Anna laughed a little as he said he would be there to protect her; She couldn't quite tell if he was joking or if he had meant it so she simply smiled at him.

Dante smiled as she took his hand and they began walking. He was invincible. Nothing could bring him down now. He felt on top of the world as they walked, her soft hand in his. Things had moved faster than he had expected, but he wasn't objecting. He was still smiling as they walked, and he knew he must have looked like a fool, but he didn't care. "So, tell me more about yourself..." he said as they continued walking, and squeezed her hand softly.

"Well I come from England origanally... I have two sisters, Sarah and Grace, and a little brother, William. I have been dancing ballet since I could walk and music is a HUGE part of my life. I love the color purple and lilies are my favorite flower. I wanted to be a Hufflepuff but that didn't turn out how I wanted it. I'm a muggleborn... Ummm... Anything else???" Anna smiled as she watched her step, not to trip or anything.

Dante smiled and nodded as he listened to Anna explain her life. He grinned softly as she explained that music was a major part of her life. "I play guitar... And music is a huge part of my life too." he explained as they walked on. He had no siblings himself, but he enjoyed listening to Anna talk about her family. "No, that should cover it." he said, as they walked past a rose bush, he picked one and handed it to Anna.

Anna took the rose and smiled, "Thanks." She smelled the rose, and smiled to herself. Dante was a really nice and sweet boy. Anna wanted to meet Dante again, but she wasn't sure if she wanted to be the one to set the date.

Dante noticed that it was starting to get late. He would have to be back soon for the feast. He sighed and dropped Anna's hand. He wasted to see her again, more than anything. But he wasnt sure how she felt, or how to ask her. "Umm... Would you like too... Join me for a picnic tomorrow on the lake?" he asked softly, looking into her eyes, and smiling softly.
