Selene was looking forward to the Halloween feast this year. last year she had gone with Helia as knights and she had been so proud of their costumes this year her costume was a lot more simple but she was going with nell and was very much looking forward to it. they got ready together giving each other hints as to how to get the look right before descending the stairs. it may not have been a complex costume but she had dressed as each other and it was pretty fun. she had even found some contact lenses that she out in to change her odd violet and grey eyes to a beautiful warm brown like nells.
they made their way to the great hall and she tried to capture the excitement and energy that her girlfriend always possessed. "Wow. the great hall looks so awesome, the candles and the pumpkins all floating. I wonder how they carve them is it magic or are the professors carving them away all day. I wonder if a werewolf would be affected by a fake full moon, I mean it looks so real." she said just saying what came to mind in a way that she hoped was like Nells 1,000 mile a minute thought. "What should we do first, have something to eat, go and look at the mirrors, have a go at apple bobbing. there is so much going on." she continued before pausing not sure what else to say.

 

[Nell Night]

Nell LOVED tonight. She had always really enjoyed Halloween, but this year... she hadn't been able to stop grinning since she and Selene had come up with their costume ideas. It was exciting, putting on one of her girlfriend's dresses and trying to copy her mannerisms. Nell wished she had gotten a wig to go with the getup, but with the dark dress she definitely felt the part.

It took Nell a moment to realised what Selene was doing as they entered the Great Hall together, but she giggled brightly as soon as she realised. She had never really thought about what her bursts of rambling must sound like from the outside, and she had to admit Selene's impression was pretty spot on. She didn't think she was as good at impressions herself but wanted to give it a try, putting on a silly, overly spooky voice that didn't really sound anything like Selene's. "Hmmm, I have seen in the tarot, our future destiny lies by.... the snack table!" Nell said with a dramatic point, then giggled. "Sorry. I'm bad at impressions."

Selene was glad that nell didn't find her impersonation offensive. she hoped that she hadn't been too far off. the hall really was amazing. all the decorations. and costumes. some of them were amazing. she smiled as nell said that they had a destiny at the snack table. she chuckled a bit at her impersonation. was that what she really sounded like. she hadn't thought. her mum and grandma had put so much faith in divination they often took it as fact. "The snack table sounds awesome. I wonder if they have the crawling spider cakes that they had last year they were funny. and I am really looking forwards to the pumpkin in filo pastry. Ooh, that is a pretty costume. she said as a girl walked past in a fancy looking dress that looked like it belonged over a hundred years ago (@Mary Lou Prindeou) "I like your dress" she said before continuing on towards the food table. "Some of the costumes are a little bit weird. I wonder how she managed to do that" she said gesturing towards one of the older students with what looked like scales on her face. she wasn't sure what she was meant to be dressed as but the scales were weird.
Selene picked up a plate. "What shall we get. pumpkin pasties, how about some of these hot dogs that look like fingers. and what about some Ghost pizza and some pumpkin pies" she said. loading the plate up. "did you want me to get anything else or do we have enough for now" she said. pausing a moment to breathe. "Wow it is exhausting being you" she said.
