After another sucessful charms lesson, Sam was feeling rather pleased that he had worked hard in charms for the most part of last year. It was just about the only lesson that he had worked hard in and it was really paying off for the sixteen year old. Sam, having been seated at the back, was one of the first to leave the classroom but instead of returning to his dorm instantaneously, he lingered outside the room, waiting. He leaned against the wall of the corridor, watching as the class filed out of the door, his deep blue eyes scanning over each recognisable face. Even slumped against the wall, Sam was tall enough to peer over most of the heads and so he easily spotted the face he was looking for.
"Hey, Lindstrom!" He called loudly. The corridor was beginning to fill up now with students going to and coming from their classes, Sam was rather thankful he had a free period. He lazily took his foot off the wall and stepped away from it, making his presence more defiant among the crowd. He knew he had to speak to the girl at some point before the dance, which seemed to have fallen upon them, rather abruptly. In all honesty, Sam would have preferred to have gone with Riley seeing as things were going....well, perfectly for them. However this was not the case, he was to attend with Hilde, no objections. Making matters worse, Sam barely knew the girl, he couldn't remember the last time he even spoke to her. He was practically attending the Yule Ball with a stranger, as if things weren't going to be awkward enough.
