It was unbelievable that Priyanka had been at Hogwarts for almost a week. She was already getting used to the school and the common room, because she had read a lot about it and of course her cousin had told her a lot about it. Of course, all those lessons had also started and they didn't seem difficult at the moment. The first holiday after the hard week had arrived. Priya decided to go out of the castle to look at its surroundings, because she also had to get to know it and maybe find a place where she could hide someday to be alone. She had such a place at home. With her brisk pace, she soon reached the shore of the lake, but it didn't seem appropriate, because it wasn't really warm today to stand on the shore of the lake. Continuing to walk, Priya came to a rose bush. It was beautiful. She read what it was dedicated to. Suddenly she felt sad when she read the memorial plaque. She approached the rose bush to take a closer look at it.

@Juniper Veritas

Juniper had had quite the week, she wasn't sure if she was exactly used to everything yet, but she was getting there. The Hufflepuff had decided to go for a walk outside, to see around the grounds. She had taken her cat, Pumpkin with her who was now trailing comfortably behind her. Pumpkin was only a kitten but she'd already learned to trail behind Juni with perfect precision and never ran away, it was nice really. As the brunette reached the lakefront she saw a girl looking at the rosebush next to it an approached awkwardly, there was a little plaque with something written on it. "What does it say?" Juni asked picking up her cat.

Priyanka, examining the roses more closely, couldn't tell what color they were at first. Pinkish white or pink. Then she crouched down a little when she heard a voice next to her. "It says the roses are planted in memory of Rose Lander, who passed away in her first year. Sad." Priya said, looking at the girl. She saw the cat in the girl's hand. "What's his name?" Ravenclaw asked out of a little curiosity.

Juniper felt a little sad at the information of someone dying in their first year. A life cut so short. Giving a small nod and a sigh she then looked down at her cat. "Oh this is Pumpkin," Juni told the girl with a smile now. She was glad she had taken Pumpkin with her, it was far less lonely. "Oh and I'm Juniper, or just Juni!" The Hufflepuff added hastily.

Priyanka couldn't even imagine what the parents of the girl, in whose memory this rose bush was dedicated, must have felt. She didn't like to dwell on sad things for long. That's probably why she changed the topic. Then when the girl answered her question about the cat's name, Priya smiled, because it sounded like a very interesting name. "Pumpkin? Why did you name him that?" she asked. "Nice to meet you, Juni! I'm Priyanka, or Priya for short." She also introduced herself.

Juniper gave a soft smile before answering the question about her cats name. "Well he is orange and I like Autumn so seemed quite fitting," plus she herself was named after Autumn so might as well do the same for her cat. "Nice to meet you Priya," Juni responded looking back at the roses for a second. "Have you-" She began before shortly stopping to bite her lip, nervous about being too curious. "Have you been having a good time at the school so far?" The Hufflepuff managed to ask eventually.

Priyanka smiled, then looked at the girl's cat again and listened to why she had given her cat such a name. "That seems logical, it really is a fitting name. Although I've heard so many different names for orange cats and some of them seemed quite interesting," she said, even taking her friend outside of Hogwarts as an example. Priya noticed that she was looking at the roses, then started a sentence, but stopped and that made her look at the roses again. "Yes, so far the time spent at school has been good. I guess it's because I have a cousin next door and we live in the same house. And how was your time at school? Do you miss home?'' she asked out of pure curiosity. Priya herself was very homesick, but Vikram's presence eased her homesickness a little, because she knew that someone from the family was nearby.

Juniper smiled looking down at Pumpkin, fitting name indeed. She gave a nod and a laugh at the girls words. "Once met an orange cat whose name was cheddar, one was cheesepuff. People can get quite creative with the names," she agreed. Hearing that Priya had someone at the school with her made Juniper wonder how that was like. She wished that even if it was just her auntie that maybe she'd have someone too, but she didn't. "Yeah it's been okay but a little overwhelming and I miss home a lot. I only have Pumpkin and I do have a jar of sand i took from the beach outside our house back home, but other than that I came alone." Juni admitted awkwardly, she missed her family and even though everything was exciting and new it was still different being alone.
