Between work, and spending time with Aeon, Brodie hadn't managed to slip away for a cigarette all day. By the time night had fallen he just had to get out and satisfy his craving. Brodie told Aeon he was going to go for a quick ride on his bike to unwind, and quickly left. Brodie was still staying at the Leaky Cauldron, but in a few months he would have enough money saved up to put a down payment on the old fixer upper he had seen just outside of Obsidian Harbor. Sure I don't know much about magical carpentry... But I can learn. He told himself as he drove over it on his bike.

After about an hour Brodie realized he was flying over Brightstone Village. He decided why not, turned on Marley's invisibility, and landed in a group of trees in a park. Brodie stashed his helmet, and grabbed his smokes before going to find a quiet bench to sit on. Since it was nighttime there would be no kids around, and he figured he could smoke in peace. Maybe I should just tell Aeon I smoke. he thought while lighting the cigarette that he had stuck in his mouth. No... He wouldn't like it. The whole cancer thing would probably bug him. Brodie exhaled letting a cloud of smoke escape from his mouth, and gave a happy sigh. It was the most relaxed he had been all day.

Alyce had been in the park in Brightstone village. She had realised that she was starting to loose her shape and altough she wasn't really that keen on being fit she did like being toned. Although she usually used the local muggle gym she sometimes just liked a little fresh air which was why she was dressed. A short sports top and loose fitting shorts in the park. It was summer and the weather was perfect, just the right amount of crispness in the air. She had just finished her final round of push ups and was just walking a lap of the park as a cool down. She thought she heard a motorbike and made a slight detour passed where she had parked hers, it was still there.
As the park was far enough away from too much magic her music player worked and she was listening to he fanal chorus of the last song of a playlist when she smelt someone sitting on the on the bench. She sat down next to them thinking a little company would be nice for once not influenced by alcohol (albeit with the last remnants of a hangover). "hey, do you have a light? she asked pulling a smoke of her own out of her pocket. She was pretty sure she had a lighter in one of her other pockets but what kind of way was that to start a conversation. It would mean having to talk small like the weather or something a topic that was just boring after a while. Even for someone raised in England.

Brodie had leaned his head back, and closed his eyes enjoying the peace, and quiet of the park. Of course someone had to come along, and ruin all of that. Brodie opened one eye, and looked over at the girl who asked for a light. Isn't she cold?' he wondered looking at her clothing. Never the less he knew how it felt to be without a light, and pulled out his wand to light the woman's cigarette. Brodie flicked his ashes into the trash can next to the bench, and decided he might as well talk to the woman sitting next to him. "I'm Brodie by the way," he introduced himself, "Aren't you cold wearing that? It's still only spring you know." he commented. Brodie himself was bundled up in his leather riding jacket. Then again she was a little red in the face as if she had just been working out. Maybe I should do that... All the bar food hasn't been doing me any good. Brodie thought about how his jeans seemed tighter since moving out. Of course if he tried working out now his lungs would probably hate him more then they already did.

alyce could tell that the boy didn't really fancy company. unfortunately for him Alyce was social and she felt like socialising. he obviously wasn't that much in an antisocial mood as he did light up for her. she had never thought on using her wand, she had always used lighters, most of them cheep ones, some she had found at work in lost and found some she had acquired loose fingeredly and others others were legally hers. she took a deep breath on it. and relaxed for a minute as he introduced himself. 'alyce" she said simply. not feeling like she needed to say any more. in some ways she had a reputation that preceded her like some of the biggest Divas in history. when he said that she must be cold as it was only spring she shook her head. "nah, I'm too hot to be cold." she said. maybe a little overconfidently, but then Alyce as allowed to be overconfident as that was how she was, a and people who knew her knew she ws never truly serious about it "I know its spring see long trousers. in summer i wear shorts" she said jokingly, though it was also the truth. deciding that that conversation was not really going to go very far in the direction it was headed she changed tack. picking up at the first thing she could think of and that was that the guy was clearly in riding leathers, a guaranteed bonus for her bike was the only way to get around. are you from around here? I haven't seen you around before and i would notice a new bike in Brightstone."[/b] she said taking another draw on the smoke.
