Persephone lept off the boat, landing on the sand. "Later Dad!" she called, waving at her father. "Wait, Sephy! Can you take the camera and take some pictures?" Persephone shrugged. "Okay." She took the camera from her dad. Her dad was travelling all around the world, and he was taking pictures of everything. Persephone didn't know why, but she liked taking pictures anyway. She looked around, thinking she was alone. Well, she wasn't wearing her glasses, so she couldn't exactly see anything past a couple of metres.

She danced around on the sand, the camera held firmly in her hand. She was certainly acting stupid right now, but she could not take another minute of confinement. There weren't very many things one could do on a boat. Persephone liked her home, but it wasn't the biggest houseboat in the world, and it was hard to fit four people in it.

Persephone sat down, and picked up the camera. She snapped a picture of the blue sky, as she saw a cloud that looked exactly like a cat. "Say cheese, cloud kitty!" she giggled.

Xanthe had woken up early to the sound of the movers putting a few more of her mother's sculptures inside the new house. All the noise annoyed Xanthe so she jumped up and threw on a blue-and-white striped tanktop along with some boy shorts and flipflops. She walked down the long hallway, occasionaly looking out the large windows that were used as a wall and lookout view for the beach they lived by. Xanthe stopped when she noticed a girl, looking roughly her age, twirling around on the beach below her. Now that is my kinda girl! I think I'll introduce myself. We could be friends. She reached the kitchen and threw some bread in the toaster then snatched up her camera from the dining room table. After her toast was ready she shoved it in her mouth and approached her mother, "I'm gonna go down to the beach and take a few more pictures. Kay?" Xanthe's mouth was full with food but she assumed her mother wouldn't even notice. "Wonderful, sounds great. Just be back for lunch! We're going to eat together today. Our first family lunch in New Zealand! Aren't you excited!?!" Her mother exlaimed then left, not at all waiting for an answer. Xanthe ran down the many stairs to the beach, watching her step carefully so as not to fall. She saw that the girl was holding a camera and Xanthe became very excited to find someone who, most likely, had the same intrest as her. "Hey there," Xanthe shouted to get the girl's attention, then approached her and introduced herself, "I'm Chrysanthemum Xanthe Vannalyka Tollin. But you can call me Chryssie or Xanthe, whichever you prefer," She paused then smiled and started again, pointing upwards, "I live up in that house. We just got here yesterday."

Persephone looked up at the strange girl who had approached her. "Uh, hi." she said shyly. She wondered if the girl had seen her dancing before, and guessed that she probably had. Sephy was usually quiet when she met new people, but today she was in a random mood and was glad for any company. She looked up at the girl and grinned when she introduced herself. "That's a bit of a mouthful!" she said. "I think I can beat you though. My name's Persephone Althaia Echo Eileithyia Hyacinthus Aella Stone. Or Sephy, if you prefer." she laughed. "I think I'll call you Xanthe. According to my dad, it means yellow or gold in Greek. My family is kinda obsessed with Greek mythology, which is why my name's so long." Sephy said cheerfully.

Sephy couldn't actually see the house Xanthe was pointing to, but she could see the general direction "It must be awesome to live in a proper house..." she said wistfully, then realized what she had said made no sense. "I mean one that doesn't move." Realizing that she still made no sense, Persephone explained. "I live over there." she said, pointing to the docks, whitch was where the houseboat was.

Xanthe laughed a bit when Sephy said her full name, "Goodness! I thought my name was long!" She had always enjoyed Greek mythology and knew quite a lot about the Greek Gods from her mother. Her mom's religion was all of the Greek God stuff and Xanthe would often listen to her ramble on about it. When Xanthe was at one of her boarding schools and it was History Study she would take out her mother's Greek mythology book and study it, since technically it was history in a way.

"Well I suppose so, but it's nothing interesting really..." Xanthe looked to the ground. Her house was, more than likely, the most interesting house in New Zealand. Tons of paintings and sculptures filled the house. Large windows that viewed the beach on one side and the hills on the other. The ballroom, the libraries, the museum! Xanthe glanced over to where Sephy pointed and spotted a house on a boat. "Oh! How wonderful! What's it like!?! Is it small? Is it big?" Xanthe's face lit up at the sight of such an interesting house, "I'm so terribly sorry if you don't like being bombarded with questions! I just get so curious!" She felt like jumping for joy but contained the happiness that urged to come out. Xanthe brought her camera up to her face, realizing she had not yet taken a picture of anything, and snapped a picture of Sephy then let it dangle back down around her neck. "Sorry. I hope you don't mind."
