The idea was the fashion himself a new identity and grow into his own name. He chose Sladen because of its meaning: Child of the valley, and is of English Origin. He views this meaning in a more symbolic sense, feeling that he is still very much lost and confused with the world looming over him - a theoretical child in a valley.
