Abilene stood just outside the arrival doors at the Sydney airport. Snow was already trickling down the pave road. The teenager was used to the cold already but she always prefer the warm sun of Texas. Oh how she wish she could just stay home and help plant cotton at their farm but until she's not yet of age, Abilene has to dealt with her mum, stepdad and step-siblings for two months. Not that she doesn't like them but how they get spoiled by their father was unimaginable. Her stepsister has the newest clothes, right before it was out the market while the youngest has all the electronic gadgets out there. Abilene on the other hand is as simple as it gets. All she needs is a broom and fly around for hours, at least she gets her practice and fun.
Freezing like a dead pig in a walk-in freezer, Abilene looked for a sign that indicates her ride had come already but to no avail. She rub her hands together. The Pukwudgie decided to message her mum but it seems she already message her. To her dismay, Abilene's mum can't pick her up instead her step-siblings would. The teenager was pissed that she didn't reply back, lately it seems that her mum rarely send her a letter or ring her on holidays and now this. Abilene is beginning to think that she's not important at all to her anymore. Annoyed, she waited for a bit before calling her step-siblings.
