Pixie wasn’t interested in spending halloween in the great hall, a room crowded with other people. Instead she had decided to come to the north tower and spend a little time just looking out over the grounds. She had her witches’ book, a little books with spell ideas, potion ideas. She knew they were mostly nonsense and perhaps eventually she would learn some of it, but she thought it was a little sad that Hogwarts didn’t have more dark magic, or leaned into the original idea of witches - well the muggle ideal of witches - she’d have loved to have a black cat, a toad, a big black hat and all that to be able to just be a traditional muggle witch. She sat on a window sill with her notebook open and her wand in hand, just pretending to cast these spells which she had written.

Natalia had never been one for Halloween, not enjoying the idea of dressing up as something else. The way it was celebrated at Hogwarts seemed strange to her, almost muggle-like in how it focused on costumes and candy. wearing some silly costume just sounded entirely too tiresome, so she hadn't gone. But Natalia had been a bit frustrated by herself in her dormitory as well, feeling lonely which wasn't a new feeling for her. The Slytherin eventually started to wander, simply to have something to do. She found herself climbing the North Tower, confident that the teachers would have their hands full with the students at the party and wouldn't catch her going up there. The sight at night would be nice, she was sure. But as she arrived, she realized she wasn't the only person there. Another girl was looking out over the grounds, and Natalia paused. "Hello." She said cautiously, aware that the girl was in her classes. But she had been so quiet and in the background that she was one of the few people whose names Natalia didn't know.

Pixie looked up at the girl who greeted her, she had no doubts about who the girl was speaking to given that she didn't think there was anyone else about, Pixie lowered her wand and gave the girl a little polite smile. She knew this girl from some of the classes, but really couldn't admit to knowing her that much at all. Really all she knew was that this girl shared some classes with her. "Hi," was all she said in response, her voice quiet, not like she was trying to be quiet, it was just clear that she was a quiet person.

Natalia wasn't sure what had caused her to greet the girl, especially as she didn't even know her name. It was unlikely to be someone important, not with how quiet and in the background she was. But then again, she was pretty quiet as well. "Why aren't you at the Halloween Feast?" She asked the girl bluntly, frowning slightly.

Pixie looked at the girl as she asked rather bluntly in essence what she was doing thee instead of at the feast. It didn’t escape her notice that the girl wasn’t at it either but didn’t seem to be questioning herself. Pixie didn’t say anything, it wasn’t mandatory to go so why bother. She just shrugged and looked back out over the grounds from the window. She’d be happy to leave the conversation there. She looked back at the girl after a short moment as if to ask what she was doing there. But she didn’t actually say anything.

Natalia frowned a bit as the girl just looked at her and shrugged. Natalia sighed, crossing her arms. "Fine, don't talk to me then." She said in a huff, wondering why she had even considered talking to this girl. Why would she want to be friends with someone who was even quieter than she was? It wouldn't do her any good. "The feast is an insult to magical traditions." She added as if explaining why she wasn't there.
