Sixth Years: Lesson Six

Angel sat up with a clatter at the sound of the greenhouse door opening, sending a selection of papers on his desk into a flurry around him as he struggled to right his chair. Right, sixth years, time for class. Angel shot to his feet, pretending to ignore the scattered pages around his desk and greeting the students with a blasé grin.

So, who’s ready for exams?” To be frank, Angel wasn’t sure he was ready, not looking forward to having to grade a pile of papers, but at least that meant he’d actually survived another entire semester already. And with no maiming in the greenhouses for once. He scanned the class, trying to gauge their general reactions, some looked confident, apathetic, and a few nervous, all understandable. "Well, try not to look too excited. We'll just be reviewing today, so take some time to go over your notes, stretch your legs, ask some questions, whatever you need, you survived your OWLs, you know the drill," Angel said, leaning against his desk easily.

"Oh, and don't forget to check in and say goodbye to your screechsnaps. I'll be moving them to another greenhouse once your exams are done, so get in any farewells now." Hopefully by now the class was familiar enough with their screechsnaps to know what they needed with little fanfare, though Angel wondered if any of them were as fed up with them as he was. Satisfied he’d done the bare minimum to prep the students for exam week, Angel retook his seat and picked up a book, content to read lazily and let his class do what they wanted to revise.

Post attendance for full marks and say goodbye to your screechsnap if you want.

Lucy almost groaned out loud when the professor mentioned exams. Did they really have to shove it in their faces? It was true, they'd survived OWLs, so maybe this year wouldn't be to bad. Lucy got out her notes and began to revise, carefully going over the plants they'd covered that semester. She wasn't really eager to say goodbye to the screechsnaps, so she just ignored them. When the lesson finished up, Lucy packed away her things and hoped she was doing okay on the study front.

Dante Styx walked in the Herbology greenhouse and found his section with his annoying screechsnap. He heard soon enough that the professor might have been a little too 'funny' with that question. They would be reviewing today, and then check in on their screechsnaps. He studied for the time though, just to make sure he knew what he felt he needed. His notes were a little all over the place. Once he had that done, he did what he could for the screechsnaps. He made sure they had food and water and left. Thank Merlin that was over.

Another review lesson meant spending the lesson studying. Unfortunately, they didn’t seem to be given the option to do so in the library, so Veronica settled in for a study session. Once time was up she packed away her things, deciding not to say goodbye to her screechsnap as she hadn’t gotten as attached to it as she might have expected.

Teddy raised his hand when Professor Castillo asked whose ready for exams, then looked around at his classmates who didn't seem to share the same enthusiasm, Teddy chuckled and looked back at the professor. He would have preferred to leave the greenhouse to study elsewhere, but since that option wasn't given, Teddy took out his notes and went over them for the rest of the lesson. He didn't fancy saying goodbye to his screechsnap, so left before doing so.

Aura barely managed not to laugh when she slipped into the greenhouse and noticed the professor scrambling to stand upright. That was what happened when you napped in the class room. Or maybe he wasn’t napping, maybe he’d zoned out, either way served him right honestly. She moved over to her screechsnap and danced out of the way when it flicked leaves at her. “Thanks for trying to eat me I suppose,” she said, gently watering the base as a goodbye. She quickly took some notes so that she had them prepared incase it was in the exam and then sighed waiting until class was over.

Unfortunately, Professor Castillo didn’t have the grace to let them go off and study somewhere else, so Millie was confined to the Greenhouse for her review lesson. She settled in and took out her notes. She’d almost forgotten she had her own screechsnap, they’d barely mentioned them in recent lessons. She spent the lesson going over her notes, and once the lesson was over, Millie packed everything up and made her way out of the classroom.
