Sixth Years, Lesson Five

“Alright, we’re going on a little adventure today. Everyone knows any herbologist worth their salt is just as good at identifying plants as they are at caring for them, so we’re going on a little field trip to work on your eye.” With a flick of her wand, Trina summon the bingo cards she’d put together earlier. “Everyone come grab a bingo card and then join me over here by the portkey. We’re heading out to the Aotearoa Wildlife Sanctuary in a minute when you’re ready.”

Once everyone was ready, Trina counted them down before the class grabbed the portkey, shaking her head to regain her bearings once they’d arrived at the Sanctuary. Portkey was by far one of her least favorite ways to travel. “Okay, I’m setting you loose now, so please be smart about this. Good rule of thumb; Don’t know what it is? Don’t touch it.”

Trina checked her pocket watch, doing some quick math in her head. None of his students should have classes after this, but she didn’t want anyone to miss dinner. “Alright, off you go. Get bingo and I’ll give you some house points, fill your card and you get a few more. If you’re not back in an hour we’re leaving without you, so don’t go too far, chop chop,” she said, clapping her hands. SHe trusted the sixth years to behave themselves. And she wouldn’t really leave them behind. Probably.

Sofi was excited about going on a field trip, grabbing hold of the portkey. She hated how the travel made her feel but she preferred it over car sickness any day. She took her bingo card and walked around ticking off plants as she saw them. She had almost completed her card by the end of the session when they returned to Hogwarts.

 

[Alana Cosgrove]

After listening to Professor Adelia’s introduction, Alana grabbed a bingo card and joined the professor and her classmates by the portkey to wait for their field trip to begin. They arrived at the Aotearoa Wildlife Sanctuary, and once there, they were let loose to find the items on their bingo card. It was a test of their budding herbology skills. Alana set off looking through the sanctuary and ticking off the plants on her card. Once their time was up, she headed back to the portkey so they could travel back to the castle.
