Sixth Year, Lesson Six

The final lesson of the semester had arrived and James met it with mixed feelings. Soon, all of his students would take to the exam room and he’d see what a year of his teaching ability had got them. He was pretty confident from what he had seen of them all that they knew what they were doing, but that didn’t stop a niggling feeling in the back of his brain telling him he’d screwed them all up. A feeling he’d never had as a younger man but something that had only grown as he became a father and then a teacher. Responsibility had done a number on James.

When everyone arrived James closed the classroom door with a flick of his wand, the desks had been pushed to the sides of the room in advance so the sixth years were met with a wide open space. “Welcome back, today is our final lesson so along with all the usual good luck and fond farewells, it’s your last chance to practice non-verbal magic before your exams, as before pair up and practice using the stunning and shielding charms, I expect not to hear a peep, unless someone is knocked into a trophy cabinet of course,” James flashed a smile at them as they moved into their pairs and found spots in the room.

“You’re free to leave as soon as you feel you’ve had enough practice, but the room is free for the rest of the day, I encourage you to make use of it if you are able, and for those of you that don’t continue onto seventh year, it’s been fun, good luck and you may begin,”

RP the lesson. Attendance post is fine for full marks.

Hinata found her own spot in the classroom, glancing around as her classmates paired up. She was sure one of her friends or Kael would settle with her soon enough. Which would be good since she wanted this last chance to practice her nonverbal casting. She'd failed enough times during the Tournament, though it seemed Horror and Mikael already had a pretty good grasp. Bailey too, which was no surprise since her dad was teaching the class. She took a deep breath and started to practice, when her cousin arrived, she practiced with him casting stunners and shield spells silently. She'd stayed longer than she expected, but by the end of it, she was sure she had a pretty good hold of it in time for exams.

Mikael stood near the back of the classroom, arms crossed as he watched James lay out the instructions for this final class. When it was all clear, he made his way towards Hinata to help her practice her spells.

Not to be outdone by his cousin, Theodore decided that he was going to join his little group and practice nonverbal spells with them, and if he occasionally tried to flirt with @Horror Zhefarovich well, it was the last class of the semester anyway.

Bailey was glad the semester was over because it meant no more Theo. He’d be gone when she returned for the new year and she was grateful for that. She headed into her dads classroom for the last lesson and listened to him talk about practicing non-verbal magic. It wasn’t her strongest but she’d give it a try, annoyingly Mikael grabbed Hina to practice and faced with the prospect of Theo, she decided to go with the lesser of two evils and went over to @June Davenport. “Hey, wanna pair up?” She smiled at the Slytherin. Bailey would hardly call her a friend, most of the time she annoyed her, but she was a lot more palatable than Theo.

The blonde made her way to the classroom and found her usual spot in the front. It was the last chance to practice for exams the professor told them. June took her wand and they had to pair up, she rather would go with an dummy because everyone in this room annoyed her mostly. Except for Fraser, but as people paired up suddenly Bailey faced her and asked if she wanted to pair up. June was kind of suprised by this and let her face show that way too. She thought most hufflepuffs were stupid and pretending to be all nice and all but they were backstabbers, just like Lauren was and Landon. But she put on an friendly smile, to show how social she was. '' Yeah why not, sure.'' the blonde said. The only thing they had in common seem to be irritation against an certain gryffindor. She practiced with Bailey until the lesson was over and left the classroom afterwards.
