It was late in the afternoon, and it was one of those days when you could smell the salty rain coming before it actually did. The sun was well hidden by some greyish clouds, the storm clouds were furthur away from Hogwarts New Zealand but Nina could see them as she watched one of the schools owls depart for her Grandmother's condo. She had written her to ask her about the OWLs when she had taken them at Durmstrang. Nina was more then nervous about the OWLs and she figured that this woman that she trusted more then anything could put some perspective to all of it.
Sure Nina had been a little hurt at first that her only family member had lied to her about not actually being her father's mother, but now she was comfortable with it, she would still be her Grandmother and Nina would still live her. She was not going to go back living with her dreadful parents and with her little baby brother.
She looked around the owlrey and shrugged, it was empty and it didn't feel like anyone would be coming up anytime soon so she put her hand into her pocket and pulled out a silky blue ribbon and tied up her newly dyed black hair. She then climbed onto the window sill and stood up in one swift motion before jumping up onto roof of the owlrey. When Nina was sitting as comfortably as the hard shingles would let her she brought her legs up to her chest and wrapped her arms around them. Nina sighed, she was thinking about Haden again, this was all her fault. If she was sure of anything, that was it.
