Brief description (occupation, blood, etc):
Mareva was the only son of Takeshi and Michelle Ovanisse. He inherited the largest silk company in the world. Which is why the family have more than one home. He is also on the board for Magical Ministrations in Asia, where it is run more as an Empire than a ministerial office. As he is such a wealthy industrialist and comes from a pureblood line which there are now very few of in China, he also inherited his fathers seat on the board of Ministrations.

Brief description (occupation, blood, etc):
Jayma is the only daughter and the only surviving sibling of the Yeoh dynasty. Many battles were waged between rivaling families in the province of Xinjiang Uygur between the Chinese pureblood family of Yeoh and the Mongol wizarding families. The battles were always for land, her two brothers and father were killed during one of these. Her mother arranged a marriage between Jayma and the only other pureblood family she had connections with. Mareva and Jayma were married but promised Chang LI Yeoh that they would raise their family far from the warring violent province they had both grown up in. For a long time they did just that but business often called Mareva back to China, as well as his duties when his father died.

When their daughter Shalamar was ten years old, they knew they would have to consider which magic school she should attend. The Salam school in America seemed at first the most appropriate but when Asian Minister for Magic Toshiro Hiroyuki Leung recalled Mareva to China, he thought it best that their daughter attend a school closer to him. Especially as this daughter was his favourite daughter. Jayma conceded and began in the summer of 2019 to set up a home for the family in the remote hillside of Brackenslade, a days journey from Brightstone.

The Ovanisse family including the grandmother Chang Li Yeoh moved to New Zealand temporarily so as to be close to Shalamar while she attended school. Her father of course also used the opportunity to increase his business. While there the grandmother often went back and forth between their home in China and their home in New Zealand. For many decades she has been the proud owner as was her grandmother before her of a Chinese Fireball or a Liondragon. Like the McFusty clan who tend to keep their breeding close to their home in the Hebrides, she too has kept her dragon close to their home in China. Which is unplottable and highly charmed in order to protect the dragon from poachers, especially now since the dragon has laid an egg.

As Shalamar was born with the dragon birthmark this indicates that she is the chosen one in her family to undertake the task of rearing this dragon but as the grandmother is now too old to train her, the plan was to send the dragon at 6mnths old to a dragon reserve but as the grandmother had her hands full she brought her own dragon as well as Shalamar's to the reserve at only three months. The dragons mother will part care for it while the dragon keepers do the rest until Shalamar visits. The dragon will not be dangerous until it begins breathing fire at 6mnths. Once it is sent to the dragon reserve in Omnogovi, Mongolia it is Shalamar's duty to spend each vacation there becoming more and more acquainted with the dragon. Learning skills and techniques from the highly trained dragon keepers and finally discovering her own destiny as one.​
