Hades Lutrov the second was not an average Hufflepuff boy at all. He was silent, eerie and he loved to follow people. He was normally silent as the grave, and he did not know anything about houses. No, he figured that the house that was best for him was non-existent. He would never belong anywhere, and that was because of the type of person he was. He was just like his father, but young, and not knowing between good and evil. People here seemed to bore Hades though. And he was separated from his sister - well, someone he considered his sister that his father adopted. Hades walked up the stairs and he had heard that Kaia was in Ravenclaw, and Ravenclaws were birds, right? And they liked heights so he figured that there would be at least one up here to tell him that Kaia was about. He did not want this. He did not want Kaia to be apart from him, but it was the way it worked out, and he had yet to tell his father. What would he say? Hades knew that his aunt, Patricia, was the Head Girl of this school the previous year, but would he ever turn out like her? She seemed far too nice really. All Hufflepuffs were not like that, were they? Hades surely to Merlin hoped not.

Hades entered the North Tower, and he wondered if there was anyone here. He glanced around the room, and saw that there was no one here. Perfect, it was getting darker too, so he would not have to endure the painful light of the sun. Hades lifted his head up, his almost black eyes landing on everything here. He walked across the room and saw the window, no glass upon it. He could feel the breeze from below, and he narrowed his eyes in wonder at the grounds. Many others were running inside, and he did not see why. Hades glanced up at the horizon and saw the pink and orange sky splashed to create a view that would dazzle others, but Hades did not care. He put his arms onto the seal and he leaned against the stone wall as he gazed outside in thought. He did not like it here really, but there was nothing he could really do about it.

This was a disaster! An utter disaster! When Kaia was told that she would be sent to the same school as her 'brother' Hades II she felt comforted by the fact that she would be with him and they wouldn't be separated from one another like they would have if she had asked to have been home schooled. But then this happened and she was now wishing that she had asked to be homeschooled instead of coming here and her entire world being crushed like a thin sheet of fragile glass. During sorting her brother and her had both been sorted into separate houses. He was in some Hufflepuff House while she was sorted into Ravenclaw. They were placed in two completely different worlds and because of that Kaia already hated this place, she hated this place with such a strong passion that was almost tempted this morning to write her father and tell him to come get her and never let her come back. She had yet to really do this yet though because she wanted to wait and see if Hades II would find some way to calm her down. The only reason she was bitter at the school was because they separated her from the one person she was comfortable with at this place, she didn't know a single person that was sorted into her house and that made her feel like an outcast, a loner, like she was just a big fat nobody that didn't matter. The first night in her dorm room she couldn't even sleep very well at all, in fact she wasn't even sure if she was going to remain in the same room as her dorm mates because they seemed weary of her. Kaia didn't mean any harm, she was just shy and sure of people at first. Maybe after some time she would grow used to the Ravenclaw Common Room and think of it less of a prison and more of a place to relax.

Kaia pulled the hoodie closer to her body as she headed to the North Tower. She wasn't sure what brought her to come up here but for some reason she figured that her 'brother' would be here. Kaia had been looking for him for a little bit since she hadn't been able to speak with him since they were sorted. Whens he actually reached the top too she was relieved to see that her brother was indeed here. He probably wanted to look outside the window, it might look pretty outside but Kaia didn't care about that right now! "Hades! This school..this place...this...everything is such a disaster! Remind me again why we came here." Kaia told him as she approached the window he was at. Her Russian accent wasn't as strong as it was when he first met her but it was strong enough. He seemed to always be able to understand her though. Her hair blew around her face a little when she got really close to the window and she adjusted her bangs so that none of her hair would cover her purple eyes.

His soft eyes closed slowly, before he could he hear someone coming. Hades could recognize those footsteps, from the first moment that he had heard them. They belonged to the one and only Kaia Lutrova, a name that would soon be known in this school, Hades had a feeling at least. He did not turn around just yet, but he opened his onyx eyes as he watched the students continue to flock inside. Maybe to eat dinner or something of the sort. Once Kaia approached him, somehow the bond between them let him know from the start that she was not in the best of moods, perhaps it was because that hat had called out different names for them. Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw. Truth be told, he did not know what the houses were, and he thought that he just did not belong in either of the houses. He was far too unique. His eyes searched her own purple orbs for a moment, and he slowly wondered what was in her mind other than the anger for the school, because it had separated them. Hades was surprisingly calm about it, because he did not have to worry about certain circumstances where he would end up being alone, and he did not care. He preferred to be alone if possible. Hades listened to what she had to say, and he knew every word, down to the syllable because he predicted it. Hades broke eye contact for a moment, in thought.

To the defense of Kaia, Hades was too not pleased with the school, but not for the same purposes. He did not think that a school like this should have let so many nuisances into the corridors. Hades answered her question, "Because the Head of our Family, soon to be the Patriarch, is here. Many relatives walk these corridors, and soon, we are to watch over those that need to be watched, like the older ones make us the watched." Hades was not too sure if she would understand it much but there were hardly any family members of theirs attending Durmstrang, and it was across the world, and it was a little hard to grasp the fact that moving to a place like that would take a lot of time. That was Hades' first choice for schooling, but as long as he was taught, he truly did not care. "If you are angry about not being in the same House as I," Hades continued, "do not be. I do not go to the common room or dorms unless I have to. You will find me in class, and in the dungeons or towers of this school. Perhaps even in the forest. It will be like we have separate bedrooms, dear sister." Hades softly touched her shoulder to reassure her, but he did not think that it would be enough to calm her down. Hades did not see the big deal in it all, but he might see it if he knew more about the true reason why she did not want them separated. Was he the only family that she could trust? Hades searched her purple eyes as he folded his arms across his chest and rested them there for the moment.

Kaia scoffed and leaned against the wall. So they were sent here because there was they had family here that would keep an eye on them. Then later on they would watch other the descendants that came to the school. Her purple eyes drifted to the ground and she allowed a gentle sigh to escape her lips. "How much family do we have in this school anyways? I don't know of any being in Ravenclaw." Maybe if there was 'family' somewhere in the school, particularly in Ravenclaw then she could bond with them and feel less alone without having to be around Hades all the time. Until she found friends or someone to rely on to keep her from feeling alone she didn't want to be separated from her brother. When she lived with the Malkov's she always felt alone so it reminded her of her old life. Kaia didn't want to be living her old life. The whole point of her running away from home and going to live with Hades and his father was to run from the old life her parents set for her and make her own life. If she still lived with the Malkov's she wouldn't be attending school right now. Homeschool was the choice her parents wanted and she would have had to suffer through seven years of learning magic from them and her harsh grandparents. Kaia was thankful that she had a new family. They had all accepted her easily and adapted to acting as if she was there the entire time. Like Hades was her bloodfather because that was the way she saw him. He treated her like so.

"I really hope so Hades. I don't like the children here. They act so noisy and obnoxious, I feel like I cannot trust them. How am I supposed to even make friends when the children act like they are on a load of sugar?" Kaia's eyes drifted down to the floor. She wanted a best friend that she could share her secrets with and everything. Hades was her brother and like a best friend but she figured that she could not be attached to him forever. The child didn't even need to be from Ravenclaw but she wanted a friend. Hades seemed like he could give her advice. She was unsure if he wanted friends or not but his advice would probably help her out. Maybe he hated the kids that went to school here too. It was different here, not like it was at the Manor they lived at so they both had some adjusting to do. "What is your house like Hades? I mean what are the children like?" Kaia had seen a lot of Ravenclaws reading books but there wasn't much else. None of them really wanted to talk to her nor would they really look at her. It made her miss being around Hades sometimes because he paid attention to her. There were no cute little boys for her to blush at either.

Oh, Hades did not want to answer that question. Many people of his relation, her relation, attended here. Hades answered with a soft sigh, "A lot." Though he was about to list them off. His eyes closing, as he was in thought, Hades added, "We have two professors, Professor Zhefarovich as an uncle, and Professor Styx as a grandfather. In Slytherin, we have Azerail as an uncle, Leviathan as a cousin, Athena as a cousin, and Aleyha as a cousin; in Gryffindor, we have no one; in Ravenclaw, we have Austin Devearux as a cousin, and Kamaria as a cousin; and in Hufflepuff, I am the only one here." Hades opened his onyx eyes and he was finished with listing off the family relations. They had others that graduated, but that was irrelevant right now anyway. However in the Ravenclaw house, he doubted that Austin would be worth talking to. Kamaria on the other hand may guide Kaia around the house of Ravenclaw because he could not do it himself. Hades was glad that their father had chosen this school somewhat, even though it did not teach the Dark Arts which was what Hades really fancied. He wanted to be someone to fear in one day, just like his father. Could one really blame him? Hades looked up to his father like he would an idol. Hades fiddled with the tie, before he ended up taking it off of his neck and wrapping it around his hand.

The colors really clashed with his skin, as he started to wonder what type of school allowed the wrong people in. "Never trust them. They might be the future heroes that decide to take us down. Where there are the morons, there are the select few that are like us. Perhaps not so much, but some that are worth befriending," Hades reassured with a soft, monotone voice. Truth be told, he did not trust anyone here other than his family and Kaia. Hades did not want Kaia to make friends with the wrong sort, but he knew that there was someone out there destined to be her best friend. Hades did not think it would be him, because they were brother and sister to him. Hades thought of what his house was like, and the moment he had looked at his common room and peers, he was more or less perturbed. Everyone seemed so full of light, it almost blinded the dark and eerie boy. Hades shook his head and he muttered, "Weaklings, beings of light. What Father spoke of. Most of them I do not know nor would I want to. I believe I scare more than half of them really." Hades slowly cocked his head to the side as he wondered why he was placed in that house. "Ravenclaws, what are they like?" Hades inquired from his sister and he hoped that he was not the only one that did not belong where that hat placed them.

Kaia's light purple eyes widened when she heard how many people from this family alone attended Hogwarts New Zealand, there was so many of them! There was a few in every house except for Gryffindor. Apparently the friendly and the brave was not the type of trait you would see within their family lines. Kaia could vaguely remember that all her siblings except for Kallisto had gone to Hogwarts and were sorted into Ravenclaw, she couldn't speak for the one who hadn't gone to Hogwarts. "We have a lot of family here. I haven't really seen many of their faces though so I couldn't put those names with faces. The ones in Ravenclaw though, do they know who I am?" Kaia wondered if the family was aware that Hades had adopted her into the family not too long ago or if she was as much of a mystery to them as they were to her. Kaia sort of liked being a mystery but she didn't want it to take over her life or let it swallow her whole. She wanted a family that cared for her and accepted her for being the person she was. Hades II and Hades never seemed to mind Kaia's weird antics. Even today they allowed her to be the shy person she was and she found that important. The family members in Ravenclaw would maybe help her accept her new home and the house of Ravenclaw more. Sure they were not related by blood but as they were technically family that had to count for something did it not. Kaia turned her head as she watched her brother fiddle with his tie before he ended up taking it off and wrapping it around his hand. She absently wanted to reach for her own but remembered that she didn't even have her uniform on right now. Instead she unadjusted the hoodie she wore and leaned against the wall further then she was before. Kaia hated wearing her uniform outside of class because it was so formal and lacked natural style. Plus it was uncomfortable to her. Not one part of her blamed her brother for wanting to take the icky feeling tie off.

"I met a boy in the Dungeons the other day though. He seemed all right. More timid like a little mouse though." Kaia remembered Zayne. She called him mouse as a nickname because that is what he reminded her of with his shy and meek little personality. He really liked chocolate chip cookies too which made her further dub their meeting as something akin to 'When you give a mouse a cookie.' Though she had no idea what he would do. Giving him that cookie could have opened a whole new world of something between them. Who knows what though, they both seemed too shy to be friends even. Kaia listened to Hades describe the house he was sorted into and she snorted. Why would he end up in that house when he was nothing like they were at all? Perhaps the hat saw something they didn't see. "Wonder why the hat put you in Hufflepuff then. Ravenclaws, well some are quiet, some are mean, some are noisy. But overall they all seem to be very good at school work and solving problems. I suppose they are the nerds of the bunch." Kaia wished she knew more about the other two houses. Yes Kaia was quiet and into learning new things, but would have Slytherin or Gryffindor been a better choice for her? For a moment Kaia set her bottom on the ground but still kept her back against the wall. Her thoughts went back to her dad as she tried to guess if he would be proud of her and Hades II. What was he doing right now and would writing a letter to see how he was doing be pointless. "Hades, what do you suppose dad is up to right now?" Kaia knew he didn't write them yet. Would he do it on his own or would they have to write to him, Kaia had so many questions and she didn't know if her brother could answer them all for her. She felt so nosy.

Hades expected that reaction from Kaia, that there were so many in the family that attended here in Hogwarts New Zealand. Hades did not think that there would have been anyone in the family that would have belonged in Gryffindor. They might be brave, but they were in no means noble in the eyes of Godric Gryffindor. Hades did not care though, he did not like that house because it was Gryffindor that allowed mudbloods into the school. That much he did know about this school. Hades really did not like it here for reasons that he did not really care to think about. Mostly because it was about the Dark Arts that he liked to learn so much about. Hades thought for a moment, and he shrugged, "For Ravenclaws, the seventh year dork with a badge is Austin, and Kamaria, she has silver eyes, golden blonde hair and is really tall. She is a Prefect, so it should be easier to find her. But I think our family keeps together, so when you see one, you are bound to see them all." Hades gave a light hearted shrug when he said that. Hades was an odd kid but he knew a lot about his family and he knew what they looked like and how they were. All he needed was a month to figure out their usual antics. Hades could tell Austin and Kamaria to help Kaia adjust to living in Ravenclaw if it came down to it. He would not mind at all. Hades would only do it if she wanted him to. She was his sister anyway. Hades pocketed the ugly tie and he folded his arms across his chest. Hades figured that he would have to adjust when to wear his uniform and when to not wear it. He would figure it out eventually, when he cared to. Hades could not really remember Kaia's house colors. He thought that they might be blue and gold, or something along those lines. His mascot was a badger, and he wondered what was so special about that animal, with the same colors as a skunk.

"Who is he?" Hades inquired as he leaned against the wall on his own side of the tower. "Timid and like a mouse, huh... That might be a little fun to play with." Hades glanced down when he wondered himself, why was he put in Hufflepuff? Perhaps his personality traits were just so complex, the hat was unsure himself. He was not considerate to anything, in fact, most of humanity deserved to perish in his honest opinion. Hades doubted that he really belonged anywhere, so he thought of himself as just the shadows of how dark some people can really be once he aged and grew older. Everyone expected him to be just like his father when he was older, and now, only time would tell. Hades admired his father so he would not mind growing up to be just like him, but not in his shadow as well. Hades shrugged lightly, "So, I suppose you are inwardly a nerd then." Hades smirked lightly, showing that he was just teasing her subtly. He barely showed much around others, but when it came to siblings, Hades reacted a little differently, showed more emotions and everything. Which was normally good for his siblings. It showed that he cared more about them then anyone else actually. Hades walked over to her, before he knelt on the ground. He felt that he could talk to her when he was physically closer. Kaia asked him what he thought their dad was up to, and that drew a blank for Hades. He did not know what he was up to actually, and he figured that things would be going well for Vritra and them at the house. Then again, Hades did not really know what was going on with his dad lately. "I can owl him and see what is going on if you want. I think he is out there following that one woman that was following him." That was all he knew, and he knew that their father was also seeking out a replacement or the perfect vessel, whatever that meant. Hades shrugged lightly, saying that he really did not know.

Hades II described the two family members of theirs that was in her house and Kaia thought long and hard about whether she had seen any of them or not. Since the house was completely packed full of kids it was a little difficult to think about who she had and hadn't seen. But since both of them were Prefect she figured it wouldn't be as hard as she thought. Kaia figured that she would just need to seek out the Prefects and connect the descriptions she had just been given to all those with a badge. "So it seems if I need either of them I just need to find a Prefect. It sounds like that badge of honor runs in our family. Do you think that some day we'll both be wearing badges like that?" Thinking about her family members being Prefect made her wonder if she'd ever have the chance to be honored and one day where one of those badges too. Since she was only a First year and didn't know much about what it meant to have one of those badges she wasn't sure if it was even something that was meant for her. She had many years before she would make a decision of what she wanted. Right now all she wanted to do was fit in and make so that she didn't feel like such a freak. Then Hades started to inquire about Zayne and Kaia gave him a look that almost meant it was none of his business. She knew better than to just run her mouth about this so suddenly. She wasn't sure of Hades II was one of those protective brothers or if he would just try and be a jerk to get a rise out of her. But Zayne was her first and only friend and even though they just met she had to admit he was really fun to hang out with. "Does his name even matter? You better leave him alone anyways, he's my friend and I prefer you not to scare him away!" Kaia narrowed her purple eyes at him. She knew her brother and she knew him extremely well. If he wanted to he would terrorize that poor kid in any way that he could and Kaia would lose the only friend she had. Then she would be lonely again and before anyone knew it she would be writing to her 'father' to come get her and never make her come back to this forsaken place again. Right now her Slytherin friend and the vague appearance of her brother were all that was keeping her here right now. At least the conversation switched quickly.

"If I'm inwardly a nerd then I guess your inwardly a big ol teddybear." Kaia rolled her eyes when he commented and said that she must be a nerd because of what she said, but if they were going to play along and stick to what their houses were symbols of she felt that if she was a nerd than he would be something akin to a big teddy bear. That's what the Hufflepuffs were to her. Hardworking teddybears that were too kind to really do anything much to anyone. But no matter she wanted to pretend like her brother was, Kaia knew that Hades wasn't even close to a teddybear. He was a vicious serpent hiding inside of an eleven year old's body. "I'd appreciate that, please write him. He's following a woman hm? I wonder what Anastasia will think of that." Kaia rolled her eyes again. She'd like to know what her father was up to but she didn't want that Anastasia woman that she wasn't real fond of giving him a hard time about this.

--Hades glanced around the North Tower, and he wondered why there were no real Gryffindors in the family, and if they were just the type that were proven to be just failures. Hades glanced over at Kaia once more as he allowed his eyes to wonder just for a moment. That happened from time to time when he was in thought, when his eyes would wonder from place to place, and not really focus on anyone or anything in particular. When she said that the badge of honor known as Prefect ran in the family, and he nodded slowly. It did. Many in his family and hers now had the honor of being a Prefect, and sometimes even Head Boy or Girl. Hades nodded and he murmured, "I believe we will be one day. It runs in our bloodline, and all we need to do is prove to others that we are the best out of the class. Shouldn't be too hard." Hades seemed almost confident yet rather shady about what he was saying as well. He wanted to be known in the school one day, but he did not really know what he wanted to do afterward. He wanted to do his family proud, that was for sure. Hades gazed over her look she gave him when he asked who Zayne was. That just made him narrow his eyes. That was one dangerous look he was giving, before his thin lips curled into a cold smirk for a fraction of a second before falling into his usual, vacant expression. Hades was rather curious now, and that in itself was strange as well. Perhaps he would not follow him around, but he would see who he was. Just to make sure that she was not hanging around pathetic mudbloods and anything around their types. Hades was not really protective as he was just cautious.

--The dark, strange boy pointed out, "No, but his last name does. If he is a mudblood, he will be killed for even befriending you. Father will make sure of that." Hades just wanted to make sure that she was well taken care of. Why she wanted friends was beyond him. He did better without having anyone around him. He preferred it like that anyway. No one here was really fit enough in the mind to hang around him. "Besides, this boy, he might be somewhat interesting, so we are bound to meet at some point." Hades did not want to scare him away from Kaia as long as he wasn't too much of an idiot. He really did not want that type around his sister. Hades raised an eyebrow when she said that he was inwardly a teddy bear. Hades stated almost in a bored tone, "You don't even know the thoughts that run through my mind when I see those beings. I'd rather feed them to a dragon, and bath in their blood. You know, just the light gore stuff when they don't bother me as much on my good days." He said this without even cringing, and he stared up at the ceiling once more. He knew that Kaia could never be a nerd. Maybe she was smart enough to be in Ravenclaw, but there were more than just intelligence. Who knew what intelligence could do when it was corrupted. Hades glanced down at Kaia once more and he shook his head. He murmured, "She is no longer in the picture. Same thing happened, just like the last time, and the time before that." Hades was wanting to meet the woman, but somehow thought that it might be soon anyway. He watched as the sun vanished from the horizon, and then the sky splashed with colors of pink and orange turned into a deep blue.
